Lancome Genifique Advanced Genifique Light Pearl Review

I had entirely given up on eye creams. The claims made did nothing to help the fine lines, the dark under eyes, the puffiness, let alone the increasing hooded nature of the 40+ skin around my eyes. Lancome's Advanced Genefique Light-Pearl Eye Serum has changed my mind.

The packaging of this product is a chic silver/grey ombre glass (I think?) bottle, with a simple twist to open cap with a metal rounded tip that you use to apply the serum. It's very cooling and glides mostly nicely along the eye contour. (My only gripe is that sometimes it tugs the skin if there's too little serum on it, which isn't ideal).

The efficacy of this serum is mind-blowing. Dare I say, eye-opening? I truly didn't have great expectations, but what I've seen is a definite lifting of my hooded eyes, and my lower lids (which tend to great puffiness, especially in the morning) are far sleeker. No sleep? You wouldn't know it! I've also seen an improvement in my dark circles and fine lines. As for lashes? It still feels too early to tell, but they don't seem as sparse as usual, and after applying mascara they look prettier and more fanned out.

All in all I would 100% recommend this serum. Yes, it's not the cheapest, but it's a heck of a lot more affordable than an eyelid lift.

I really loved this product. The massaging applicator tool was amazing as it not only allowed me to reach all the areas easily, but did not cause any drag around the eye. The gel like consistency felt light and soothing on my skin and absorbed well, not affecting my eye makeup. Since using this product my bags, dark circles and puffiness have reduced. I can see improvement in my eye contour and my lines are less visible. My eye area feels more hydrated and supple, my lashes, more conditioned. I would definitely recommend this product to others.

I love this eye treatment. The applicator is lovely to use and has a cooling effect when the serum is applied. I have noticed a visible difference to the dark circles under my eyes and my eyes are less puffy. The serum is light and silky. I am sure the wrinkles around my eyes have softened and reduced. I will continue to buy this serum.

The bottle is just as classy as the face serum and the applicator is very different to anything I've seen before.

I have quite puffy, dark eye surrounds. A mix of age and long hours I think! This is one of those products that works both straightaway and builds up long term benefits. I found after use in the morning my eyes were lighter and brighter and just felt less tired.

Over the course of this trial I think my overall texture with regards to lines and wrinkles has improved massively.

My lashes do look a bit thicker than before I think, but for me this is a real winner as an eye serum.

This was a really interesting product, the packaging was sophisticated, the bottle is glass in a luxurious silver pearl and does not hint to the strange applicator inside. The applicator is weird, it is a steel teardrop on a rod that protrudes from the plastic cap.

The first time I opened it it and heard the satisfying clink of the metal applicator against the rim of the bottle I thought 'oooooh fancy like champagne'. Quickly followed by 'what on earth am I meant to do with this'.

I followed the instructions to the letter and found this product messy to use. Mainly because it is hard to get prescison with a big steel ball tip. I basically run the applicator over the line of my top lashes (and half over the eye-lid, can't help it) and under the eye - for the grey tired baggies.

The product claims to produce results as early as 7 days. But I haven't seen any difference yet and I have been using it for 2.5 weeks everyday. Nevertheless, I like the pamper experience and will continue.

Even when the product is finished I will be keeping the applicator as the instant cooling of the steel on my end-of-day tired eyes feels so soothed and relaxed. Really the applicator is the only reason I gave this product a 4 star instead of 3.

Fingers crossed I am a late bloomer and start seeing results soon.

I'm in my mid 40's so with my eye area, fine lines, circles and just general appearance of my skin are concerns. I'm very lucky in that I haven't yet got too many deep wrinkles but definitely find lines and just in need of 'brightening' generally are attributes I look for when looking at eye serums/products.

This eye serum is beautiful. The Génifique Eye Light Pearl is a really unique product from others I've tried. The wand is amazing. Takes a little getting used to as it's very flexible to work with the contours of your eyes - but once you get the hang of it, it's fantastic. It gets product in the places needed. Love it!

Another very Luxe looking glass bottle. I do love Lancôme packaging! To use, open the bottle, swirl off excess product and simply apply to the under eye area, a sweep across the upper lash line, and brow bone area, and then continue massaging under the eye with the applicator.

The wand is very cooling and soothing on the eye area as it massages the serum in, applying the product in all the right places. It is a really light serum, and absorbs quickly. Over the past few weeks, there hasn't been really dramatic results, but definitely some subtle changes. I have found fine lines are softer, and the dark circles (which mine aren't terrible) certainly appear lighter. I feel my eyes look a little less aged looking (like blurring), and the skin around my eyes softer. It definitely softens the eye and makes ever. Make up applies easier around the eye area, gliding over, and not caking in the fine lines.

My lashes - hard to tell their change, but if this serum is like other lash serums it takes 6-8 weeks to see those kind of changes, so I'm reserving judgement, but I did feel these past few days they looked fuller/thicker.

Again, a pricey product, but with the help of the lovely wand, you don't tend to waste too much product, so it will last a long time. I feel it delivers on it's claims, and is worth every penny. And, if the lashes look nourished and fall out less, then its potentially a 2-in-1 product, which makes the price more appealing too as it's a real saving, considering how much lash serums cost!

I can't fault the product. It's lovely on the eye area. Definitely softens the wrinkles and fine lines. Dark circles are definitely lighter. Lashes look healthy. I think this product needs longer use to really reap the benefits it offers. I don't get 'bags' as such, but the cooling wand is sure to be a hit with anyone that has 'bags' issues.

If you can afford it and love an 'all-rounder' eye 'serum then this one is lovely and one I'll likely re-purchase, though I think this bottle will last quite a long time.

Lancome's eye & lash concentrate is packaged in a black and silver, luxurious-looking box, with the distinctive, silver Lancome flower on top.

Open up the box, and the product itself comes in a nifty-looking bottle, which is a matte silver with a shiny silver lid. The bottle is mostly silver, but with a little black lettering and blackish/silver base. It's a stunner. All in all, this product has been packaged beautifully, but I would expect nothing less from Lancome.

I was excited about using this product as I do suffer from dark rings under my eyes and a little puffiness or eye bags (who doesn't suffer from that kind of stuff at the age of 45?). Its fragrance is subtle - it doesn't really have much of a smell, which is good when you have to apply something near your eyes. I personally don't care for eye serums that have too much of a smell. So it ticked that box straight away.

To apply it, you just sweep the tip of the applicator gently back and forth around your eye contours, as has been shown on the box. Then - again using the flexible applicator - massage the product into your skin. There's no need to get messy fingers: by using the applicator itself to massage it in, you avoid the need to get it all over your fingers. Another excellent design by Lancome.

But, now for the drum roll please... the WOW factor for me through using this concentrate is definitely the fact that my under-eye area in particular feels INCREDIBLE. I feel it targets the puffiness issue incredibly well. I have been using it every day for the past few weeks, and it certainly makes a difference to the appearance and feel of my under-eye area. What eye bags? I'm honestly now asking myself that very question! Wow. I really love this product. It makes such a difference to the way my skin feels around the eye area, and it even makes me feel less tired whenever I apply it! How a product can achieve that is beyond me, but that's the effect it has on me. It contains probiotic fractions in it, so perhaps that really helps it to work so effectively, I don't know. I'm not a scientist. All I can tell you is that my under-eye area LOVES this product! My lashes too feel silkier yet also somewhat stronger, so that's a bonus as well. What a great little number from Lancome!

I was so excited to try this product as I’ve never tried an eye serum before. I was a little nervous that it wouldn’t sit well under makeup and or eye cream. I had no need to worry I wore my normal eye cream over the top every day and just the serum at night and applied to my lashes. I couldn’t notice any bunching or separating of my concealer over the top so it’s definitely makeup safe. The best thing about this serum is how much it de puffs the under eye. I’ve had several comments over the past few weeks on how “rested I look “. I normally wait a few minutes for it to sink in before applying my eye cream and it’s completely invisible. If you don’t have dry under eyes you could probably get away with just using this. I also have sensitive eyes and they weren’t bothered by this formula at all, even when it’s applied to the lashes. I have noticed my lashes look slightly longer but I’ve also been applying this to my brows and I’ve definitely noticed that the tail of my brows is longer (woohoo). I don’t love the applicator as I can’t tell how much serum I’m using and I feel like it is dragging when I apply it. The bottle however is beautiful and feels and looks very luxurious . I will definitely purchase this product again as I’ve not found anything else that gives me these results.

I was beyond excited to trial this little number and it didn't disappoint at all. I have been using this both morning and night and have noticed the skin around my eyes a lot brighter, before it looked quite dull and tired. So now I don't look like I've had an all nighter! I wouldn't say that the dreaded wrinkles have disappeared but I don't think that miracle exists in a bottle. It is super easy to use and the applicator makes it feel like a mini eye massager. I did find it took a bit longer to absorb into my skin but once it had my skin felt amazing. It smells nice and not over powering. I highly recommend this product.
