Lancome Genifique Advanced Genifique Light Pearl Review

I was so excited to try this product as I’ve never tried an eye serum before. I was a little nervous that it wouldn’t sit well under makeup and or eye cream. I had no need to worry I wore my normal eye cream over the top every day and just the serum at night and applied to my lashes. I couldn’t notice any bunching or separating of my concealer over the top so it’s definitely makeup safe. The best thing about this serum is how much it de puffs the under eye. I’ve had several comments over the past few weeks on how “rested I look “. I normally wait a few minutes for it to sink in before applying my eye cream and it’s completely invisible. If you don’t have dry under eyes you could probably get away with just using this. I also have sensitive eyes and they weren’t bothered by this formula at all, even when it’s applied to the lashes. I have noticed my lashes look slightly longer but I’ve also been applying this to my brows and I’ve definitely noticed that the tail of my brows is longer (woohoo). I don’t love the applicator as I can’t tell how much serum I’m using and I feel like it is dragging when I apply it. The bottle however is beautiful and feels and looks very luxurious . I will definitely purchase this product again as I’ve not found anything else that gives me these results.

This product was a surprise for me, I didn’t realise I was receiving two products in the trial and I was so pleased! I’ve been hunting a while for an eye product and I did enjoy this one, but I’m not sure I’d buy it and here’s why.

The bottle is beautiful and I adore the massage wand inside. It’s round, flexible and metal on the end so cooling and soothing, it’s lovely at the end of the day. The formula goes on smoothly but you do have to use quite a bit so that the wand doesn’t drag.

One of my biggest dislikes was that I found the wand dripped product on me when using it, even attempting to wipe off excess. I don’t think I ever really mastered getting the right amount of product on the wand.

While it felt nice to use I didn’t notice any huge results, not enough to justify the price in my opinion but maybe a longer time period is needed. I noticed a slight reduction in eye puffiness but no change to lashes.

I found the lack of instructions unhelpful, I ended up watching a YouTube tutorial.

Overall it feels lovely to use and is a soothing part of the skin routine but it didn’t hit all the right notes for me.

I was so lucky to be given this fabulous trial. I love Lancome and have concerns about my eye area due to aging.

This product comes in gorgeous black and gray packaging. The bottle inside the box is silver and trendy, and looks luxurious. The twist top opens to a wand with a silver ball on the end, offering easy application to the entire eye area. I find the silver ball to be quite cooling against my eyes.

The product is a white cloudy serum, and quite thick. It starts with a strong chemical scent, which I don't particularly like.

The product is easy to roll around the eye area and eye lashes and I have been applying it this way twice per day since receiving it Well, applying to my eye area twice daily, I have been applying it to my lashes only at night, which has been sufficient to get results. It absorbs quickly and does not cause any irritation.

I have noticed a tightening around my eyes and a reduction of eye bags. I'm noticing a definite difference in the thickness and length of my lashes, and this is the most obvious advantage of the product, but also my eye contour is improved, as per the product claim. I'm hoping for even greater results once the bottle, currently half full, is finished.

I love this product and highly recommend it.

I'm in my mid 40's so with my eye area, fine lines, circles and just general appearance of my skin are concerns. I'm very lucky in that I haven't yet got too many deep wrinkles but definitely find lines and just in need of 'brightening' generally are attributes I look for when looking at eye serums/products.

This eye serum is beautiful. The Génifique Eye Light Pearl is a really unique product from others I've tried. The wand is amazing. Takes a little getting used to as it's very flexible to work with the contours of your eyes - but once you get the hang of it, it's fantastic. It gets product in the places needed. Love it!

Another very Luxe looking glass bottle. I do love Lancôme packaging! To use, open the bottle, swirl off excess product and simply apply to the under eye area, a sweep across the upper lash line, and brow bone area, and then continue massaging under the eye with the applicator.

The wand is very cooling and soothing on the eye area as it massages the serum in, applying the product in all the right places. It is a really light serum, and absorbs quickly. Over the past few weeks, there hasn't been really dramatic results, but definitely some subtle changes. I have found fine lines are softer, and the dark circles (which mine aren't terrible) certainly appear lighter. I feel my eyes look a little less aged looking (like blurring), and the skin around my eyes softer. It definitely softens the eye and makes ever. Make up applies easier around the eye area, gliding over, and not caking in the fine lines.

My lashes - hard to tell their change, but if this serum is like other lash serums it takes 6-8 weeks to see those kind of changes, so I'm reserving judgement, but I did feel these past few days they looked fuller/thicker.

Again, a pricey product, but with the help of the lovely wand, you don't tend to waste too much product, so it will last a long time. I feel it delivers on it's claims, and is worth every penny. And, if the lashes look nourished and fall out less, then its potentially a 2-in-1 product, which makes the price more appealing too as it's a real saving, considering how much lash serums cost!

I can't fault the product. It's lovely on the eye area. Definitely softens the wrinkles and fine lines. Dark circles are definitely lighter. Lashes look healthy. I think this product needs longer use to really reap the benefits it offers. I don't get 'bags' as such, but the cooling wand is sure to be a hit with anyone that has 'bags' issues.

If you can afford it and love an 'all-rounder' eye 'serum then this one is lovely and one I'll likely re-purchase, though I think this bottle will last quite a long time.

This was a really interesting product, the packaging was sophisticated, the bottle is glass in a luxurious silver pearl and does not hint to the strange applicator inside. The applicator is weird, it is a steel teardrop on a rod that protrudes from the plastic cap.

The first time I opened it it and heard the satisfying clink of the metal applicator against the rim of the bottle I thought 'oooooh fancy like champagne'. Quickly followed by 'what on earth am I meant to do with this'.

I followed the instructions to the letter and found this product messy to use. Mainly because it is hard to get prescison with a big steel ball tip. I basically run the applicator over the line of my top lashes (and half over the eye-lid, can't help it) and under the eye - for the grey tired baggies.

The product claims to produce results as early as 7 days. But I haven't seen any difference yet and I have been using it for 2.5 weeks everyday. Nevertheless, I like the pamper experience and will continue.

Even when the product is finished I will be keeping the applicator as the instant cooling of the steel on my end-of-day tired eyes feels so soothed and relaxed. Really the applicator is the only reason I gave this product a 4 star instead of 3.

Fingers crossed I am a late bloomer and start seeing results soon.

I loved the packaging on this one. The applicator wad a bit strange to look at, but it is very cool in temperature and feels nice in the eyes. I haven't had it for four weeks to trial so I'm not sure if it dramatically changed my eyes yet. It claims to help eyelashes grow but I haven't noticed that yet need a bit longer ro tell. The smell was not over powering and light in fragrance, pleasant enough. The texture wad quite wet and a couple of times I wad asked if I had been crying while it soaked in. The applicator felt luxurious but I want sure how harder to push as it said massage, I wad a bit clumsy on technique but in sure I will improve. I don't think it's the best for fake eyelashes so I tried to avoid the top area i didnt notice a lot moe fall out than normal so that's good.

I purchased this serum mainly for ABOVE my eyes, not under them. I really want to prevent my hooded lids from dropping too much but I did mainly notice this product working under my eyes. It really tightened my skin up! I tried to pull my bottom lid way from my eye to apply my eyeliner and it would barely budge!! I was pleasantly suprised since I was only using the product for a week.

I found the applicator rather annoying. You have to wipe off some product and then if you don't have enough, it pulls on your skin a little. Because of this, I kept getting TOO much product and some would dry on my skin which I could feel later. I wasn't too impressed by that. Instead, I use the applicator to put some product on my fingers and tap it into my skin. This works heaps better for me.

I will continue to battle my drooping eyelids and repurchase this product.

Initial impression of this silver glass bottle is opulence. The serum is a milky colour and slightly creamy. The lid has a metal tear drop applicator designed to massage the serum around your eyes and lash line.

Designed to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, depuff eyebags and reduce dark circles as well as beautify lashes.

I used this morning and night for approximately 3 weeks and found that the lines around my eyes appear less noticable and believe the massaging pearl has also helped with this. I feel that over a longer period of time this could improve more.

I don't have puffy eyes so cannot vouch for that and my dark circles unfortunately will never go due to genetics. As for my lashes they will need more time to notice any difference and will add to this review if I notice any change.

The skin around my eyes are kept hydrated/moisturized while using this serum as well as using a moisturizer on top. This will not be in everyone's budget however it is worth a try.

Whether I like it or not my skin is getting a little bit older and one of the most affected areas for me is my eye lids of all places! They have become a little 'hooded' over time so a product like this is just what I've been looking for and it delivered. I've only been using it a week and yet I can see a noticeable difference in the firmness of my lids. They are just not so saggy. The applicator is very good - well sculpted to get to all those hard to reach areas which when you try with your finger usually ends with some in your eye. Another be beautifully elegant bottle from Lancome. Awesome experience from beginning to end. Will definitely buy again.

The packaging is smart and clean, with easy to follow instructions on the flap of the box once opened. I was really pleased to see those instructions, as I think they helped in the overall experience, and probably help to deliver the results that are promised.

The applicator wand is innovative in design, helping apply the serum sparingly and not in a sudden blob. The instructions of how to apply the serum are clear, both in print and picture making the application simple. The serum itself is slick, but thick enough that it doesn't threaten to run where it shouldn't. It is immediately soothing and feels very luxurious. The light-diffusing properties within it makes you feel younger from the first application. I love that!

The amount of product is generous. I'm not quite sure if I see many improvements to my eye contour as I think it needs longer of a trial period to be sure, but I love it regardless. This is a product I will definitely be putting on my keeper shelf.
