I liked the smell but I didn't like the results, I exfoliated before hand like I normally would but still had spots that didn't look blended, I'm thinking maybe it's just a product that takes more effort applying then I'm use to. It looked terrible around my feet and I'm always super careful there. It left an ok colour but I definitely prefer my usual tanning product and won't be reusing this one. I can't say how long it lasted as it looked patchy so I had a good scrub to remove. I used it straight but it does mention mixing it with a moisturiser, maybe I will return to it one day and try it that way!

I'm not sure why this is called gradual tan? As it somewhat misled me. I was thinking that meant apply every day to build up to the tan you want but that's not it at all, it is one application and only takes four hours to show. The best thing about this tan is the smell, omg the coconut aroma is heavenly. Admittedly the colour I ended up with "deep bronze" was too dark for my skin so I couldn't give the best review but the cream was quite runny so easy to apply.
Tips: I would say apply very sparingly, which is easy to do because of the runny consistency. Oh and make sure you select the correct colour for your skin ;)
Like others have said, the smell is nice but there are other products out there that do a better job & still smell just as good. I have very pale skin & I like my tan being reasonably dark, and this just doesn't cut it. I looked orange and splotchy. It does dry reasonably quickly, but I have other products that work much better than this for a similar price e.g St Mortiz. I might recommend this to a friend just to see if it looked any better on them, but I can't say I'm that impressed.
I was hopeful being a gel this would be much easier to apply than sprays or foams. I was wrong.... it's a messy flip top bottle, which the product seems to leak out of. I followed the instructions religiously, and used the Le Tan application mitt - however the colour was more yellow/orange than bronze and streaked on my legs. Only plus was I managed to get this for about $12 on sale at the Warehouse.
Tips: I've had better results from other tans and wouldn't be rushing out to buy again. The Le Tan mitt which is sold alongside these products is great!!!
I have had two sample sizes of this to trial and have only managed to use one. I found that it gave a nice looking tan but I found I hated the coconut scent it has as for me it was too powerful and I hate coconut. I found that this was streak free if it was applied properly. It also left my legs feeling smooth and flawless.
Tips: Use an exfoliating scrub prior to using a tanning product and also shave your legs legs prior to fake tanning otherwise if you shave after you have applied fake tanning products you are just shaving off your fake tan
I'm not a huge fan with self tanning, But i thought i should start trying a few! Now with this one my first impression was the smell, It was a nice coconut fragrance which i fell in love with. The consistancy of the tan gel seemed thick but not to thick. I first put it on my tummy incase a disaster happend lol Next morning i had a lovely bronzed belly! so i went on to the rest of my body, I had a few orange patches but that was purely my fault as i was a tad lazy in the prep, My bad! the tan gel seemed to last quite awhile on my skin which i liked. So far this is at the top of my list for self tanners.
This tanning gel is awesome, I like the coconut scent, it gives a very nice sun-kissed brown tan, not orange at all. It dries up quickly but it doesn't dry out the skin, however my skin is a bit thirstier the next days after using this tanning gel, but it's not a problem for me, I just quickly use a body lotion before bedtime and problem solved.:) I also use it on my face when I'd like to be nicely tanned and it gives me a nice, healthy complexion, I love it! To be fair I didn't try any other tanning gels before, so I can't really compare it to anything, but it works amazing for me. I find it's enough to use it only every other night to stay nice brown and I don't get any weird patches after I stop using it, it fades away evenly.
Tips: Moisturize to maintain the color and avoid white/brown patches
I do very much like this product and I think it does a fantastic job. These days I prefer natural tanning lotions but... I will still use this occasionally! This is one of the very few products I found that didn't streak. I'm very pale and this always develops perfectly on my skin. I used this before a concert.. The day before i exfoliated in the shower.. I jumped out, turned the bathroom fan on and dried my skin. I then applied it. I find that applying this when you don't have much to do is quite important so you can be floating around in loose fitting clothing letting it develop! I also find that if you apply it in the Bathroom with the fan on it certainly encourages drying and developing! The next day I woke up with beautifully, even bronzed skin. This lasted around 7 days and i thought it was fabulous. Its a non sticky formula and dries nice and quickly.. Didn't stain clothing either. I rate Le Tan some of the best tanning products. I've always been a fan and this product didn't disappoint!
Tips: Make sure you use a decent exfoliator that doesn't leave a film on your skin.. You will find your tan goes streaky or struggles to develop if you are using a product that leaves residue on your skin.
In my quest to find the ultimate holy grail self tan I've tried most of them on the market. I have very pale skin, so in the summer months I love to have a golden (fake) tan.
I can't say this is a favourite of mine. Even though I prepped perfectly, exfoliation and moisturised the day before as usual, this formula ended up patchy and slightly streaky around my ankles.
The colour was okay, but tended to look slightly orange In comparison to the normal fake tan I use. I prefer a deep, bronze look -which this didnt achieve.
A positive of this self tan is the smell, which smells much better than normal self tans. This smells very coconutty and pleasant. I'm a fan of anything that smells like coconut!
Overall, I was rather disappointed with this self tan and would not repurchase.
There are certainly much better self tans on the market!
