I have been having hayfever and the skin around my nose has been really irritated from all the nose blowing. Luckily I had a small tube of this and I've been using around my nose in the red areas. When I use it on my face it feels a tiny bit thicker not super heavy but it's not the feel you would get from a light or gel but over the really dry rubbed raw areas it really feels good. The calendula and comfrey is soothing. It provides a very soothing sort of barrier but absorbs and I can layer my regular spf moisturizer on top without any problems. I have tried it on my full face and it hasn't broken me out but my fave use for this cream is around my red raw nose area. Now I find I don't need a lot of this moisturizer because of the texture. I'm on the fence about whether to repurchase this when the small tube runs out since I get hayfever half the year.

Tips: If you have hayfever and skin rubbed raw around your nose this is fantastic for soothing it and helping it to heal quicker.
Im finally getting to the end of the bottle of this after near a year of sporadic use. I have sometimes sensitive skin and at times have dermatitis and I found that this was quite gentle and did not cause further irritation. I would say this is quite well suited to normal to oily skin, its not a light moisturizer per se but is certainly not super hydrating. I found this sunk into my skin quite nicely and was non comedogenic. If this came in a spf version id be more inclined to repurchase.
This is an amazing moisturiser which is not too heavy on the skin and good for day to day wear. I think that the natural ingredients inside it of the calendula oil has helped heal my skin to make it less dry in winter. However the only downside is that the packaging is hard to use because when you press down on the lid to get product out, I have a bit of difficulty. The product itself is great and I would buy it again.
This moisturiser is very versatile and suitable for all skin types. It's not too greasy or heavy yet moisturises well. The scent is also very distinct and pleasant but not overpowering at all. I feel like this moisturiser would be slightly lacking for people with very dry skin as it is on the lighter side and thus better for day use rather than nighttime use. Overall, its a nice morning moisturiser with wonderful natural ingredients. I was worried that my sensitive skin would react negatively, but it's absolutely fine!
This moisturiser is a lovely daytime moisturiser. It's marketed for all skin types and I can see that it covers a lot of bases. It's smooth, it smells refreshing, it applies nicely and has beautiful packaging.
For me, it wasn't quite heavy enough, but that's because I like a lot of hydration in my skincare because it's pretty dehydrated. It is a good moisturiser and I like that it's got lots of goodness in it. There was one thing that took this into the skincare stratosphere though and that was mixing it with something else. I know you're thinking - what??? But yes!!! If you mix one (only one) drop of facial oil (I used Linden Leaves Miraculous Facial Oil) into it and then apply, it makes for the most delicious, but not heavy moisturiser ever. So much so, that I'm thinking I now can't live without it. The secret is, that is that it's light enough to add an oil to! If it was heavier than it all would have ended in a greasy mess, but because it's light, it perfectly matched wit the facial oil an the result was so nice. I wore it under my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and it made it look so beautiful on application. Then throughout the day my skin retained the moisture and instead looked fresh and glowy rather than dehydrated and dried out which is what it can look like with ELDW. I love it. I'm already thinking of getting backups. Oh and by the way, people have commented on how good my skin looks. Not bad for an old bird x
Tips: Try mixing this with a facial oil like Linden Leaves Miraculous Facial Oil for a gorgeous moisturiser to wear under long wear foundation.
My first impression of the Linden Leaves Essential Moisturiser was how simple and sleek the packaging was and I am always a sucker for pretty packaging. I found the actual product to be sufficiently hydrating but I did feel like if I wanted a bit moisture in my skin I had to use a second pump of the product. I applied this moisturiser every morning before makeup application and it served as a nice base for my makeup as it left my skin feeling smooth and well hydrated but it also absorbed into my skin really quickly and it left no oily or greasy residue behind. I also really enjoyed the luxurious smell of this product, you could tell that this product did not have a perfume scent, which would be good for people who are sensitive to perfumed moisturisers. In the past I have reviewed other moisturisers and with most of them I had some sort of reaction like breakouts, however with this moisturiser I had no breakouts. The only negative for me is the price of this product, however because it actually made a difference to my skin I will be buying this product once I run out because I feel it is worth the money.
Tips: One pump covers the whole face but for very dry skin I would suggest 1 and half or 2 pumps.
I love the soft colour on this crisp and clean packaging on the product. The tall skinny pump bottle is perfect for chucking in the handbag for moisture on the go. I found I needed two pumps to do my face and neck as this lil beauty soaks in straight away. I loved that as there's no oily residue left on your face to wreck your makeup application and no waiting around for it to absorb either. I found my skin felt hydrated all day and I believe it actually helped minimise my acne breakouts so definitely helped to balance my skin. I personally didn't find the smell of the product overly nice tho, it smells quite nutty to me, while not unpleasant it just wasn't to my tastes. I recommend this product for anyone with a time sensitive morning routine that needs a quick boost of moisture without the wait times!
Tips: Warm up the moisturizer in you fingertips then apply to spread it out more and I needed two pumps to cover my face and neck area.
I loved this moisturiser so much! It is from Linden Leaves' natural skincare range which means it contains natural ingredients, is suitable for all skin types, and the packaging was made with the environment in mind. It is a great moisturiser to apply in the morning because it's non-greasy and soaks into the skin very quickly which suits my hectic morning routine perfectly because I really don't have the time to wait for anything to sink in before applying my makeup. The product promises to help treat blemishes and help the skin's recovery cycle; which I have to agree with because it didn't make me break out, and my skin actually cleared up! The packaging in very cute and the bottle is very easy to use in a rush because it is a push dispenser. I would be very happy to use this product again, especially because it is New Zealand made!
Never have I ever tried such a luxurious moisturiser. The Linden Leaves Essential Moisturiser feels like silk and smells heavenly. It absorbs in 30 seconds leaving your face smooth and baby skin like. I use this along with other Linden Leaves products every day. I don't use a primer of any sort, just the Essential Moisturiser and Linden Leaves Porcelain brightening serum. My foundation looks absolutely amazing on top of this. I have sensitive skin. This is by far the most gentle and natural moisturiser I have used. It goes perfectly with my daily skin care routine and I believe along with the cleanser I use, (Epiology Anti-Acne Foaming Pre-wash) it goes well to help and clear my acne too.
Tips: It is the best moisturiser I have found that goes with my Anti-Acne foaming pre-wash. (Epiology) Mix this with a little bit of the Linden Leaves Porcelain Brightening serum every morning. This is definitely the perfect combination for my sensitive, acne prone skin. It is fantastic as a base for your foundation. I don't use a primer and my makeup stays on all day and looks fabulous!
I was surprised by this day moisturizer, it was a lot lighter than I normally use as my skin needs a lot of moisture as it's very dehydrated. It soaks into my skin well , I felt hydrated all day and what surprised me even more was how well my make up looked and stayed put during the day! I don't use a primer and I thought this moisturizer worked amazingly well. The packaging was great, love the white bottles, the company values with sustainable packaging, not tested on animals is important to me and it also contains calendula oil which is fantastic for sensitivity. The fragrance is pleasant , light not over powering, I would definitely use this moisturizer again.
Tips: I add a couple of drops of the miraculous oil into the palm of my hand , mix with the day cream if I feel my skin is extra dry
