I do like trying to use more natural products especially when they are made in NZ and from a business that originated in my home town.
I purchased this because of the ingredients listed. It sounded great on paper, but to use it leaves more to be desired to be honest.
In the box is a tube with steel roller ball. Nice and cooling to use on the eye area.. even better when kept in the fridge. It’s a small amount for the price paid so I would only ever purchase on sale.
The box and packaging is ok appearance wise. I feel like the linden leaves packaging in general isn’t really for me.. it’s a bit dated some of it. The eye serum packaging isn’t the worst as it’s one of their more simple style packaging designs.
The serum solution itself is nice. It’s a clear gel with a decent viscosity so it doesn’t really get wasted as it can be hard to see how much your using with the rollerball in the way.
The gel I noticed sort of sits on the skin, dries and sometimes rubs off. The morning after I would recommend washing your face prior to makeup application etc as I would sometimes rub my eyes and rub away left over product.
Effective wise it was soothing and cooling. I feel like it did slightly hydrate, but I don’t think it did anything to minimise signs of aging. It didn’t really smooth skin. For the price I paid I think it should have been more effective.
The ingredients are great I love it has naturally derived ingredients and antioxidants. I only wish it was a bit more effective as a solution.
Linden Leaves Eye Rescue Serum is paraben and sls free, is not tested on animals and is a soothing, cooling, nourishing and hydrating eye serum with a wonderful rose scent that evokes memories of walking through a rose garden after a rain shower. The liquid lotion is packaged in a simple, white 15ml plastic tube with a roller ball applicator and screw on lid.
Containing the antioxidant properties of organic white tea, the toning and nourishing properties of rose and the balancing and hydrating properties of grapeseed oil, this eye serum is suitable for all skin types (including sensitive skin) and promises to help minimise visible signs of ageing and refresh stressed or tired eyes.
The simple packaging makes the eye serum really easy to apply. I simply roll the roller ball applicator lightly under my eyes (avoiding direct contact with my eyes) and then gently pat the product into my skin using my ring fingers.
The serum does feel soothing and refreshing but, to be honest, I haven't really noticed a reduction in fine lines (or visible signs of ageing) around my eyes, so I can't really comment on whether this product lives up to all its promises.
Linden Leaves products are expensive and compared to other eye creams and eye serums that I've used in the past, I really can't see much difference between an expensive product like this and a cheaper, more affordable alternative (other than the organic ingredients that this one claims it contains).
Would I purchase this product again or recommend it to a friend? Probably not.
Tips: Try storing it in the fridge for an extra refreshing boost.
