I have been using facial oils for several years so was really excited to try the Miraculous Facial Oil. Reading the list of ingredients I was surprised at there being benzyl alcohol but gave it a go anyway. I found the oil sat on my skin rather than absorbing into it as I expected. So I mixed a couple of drops into the Essential Moisturiser and found it absorbed better then. The fragrance is lovely & the dropper applicator is very convenient. I've never broken out from using a facial oil but I did with this one. To make sure I wasn't imagining things I used the Miraculous Oil on one side of my face and another 100% facial oil on the other. Although it's not a very scientific experiment due to the oils being different the result was the 100% oil side being smoother and softer than the blended oil. For the price, in my opinion there are better facial oils on the market and I'd only use this one again if I had nothing else.

Tips: Blending this oil with the Essential Moisturiser aided absorbtion. And less is definitely more, even for dry, mature skin.
I was super excited about trialling this product - my skin had been really dry and scaly, especially around my mouth etc (I think air con at work wasn't helping). So have been using it for a week - replacing my moisturiser and using this instead. I think that it might been too much for my skin. My skin has gone very patchy, rough and worse than it was.
I dont know if it was me using too much, and too often, or that my skin just doesnt agree with it, but not really working for me.
I will definitley try again though, once my skin has totally cleared and see if it is better. But yep, think I went a bit overboard and my skin was just not that into it!
Tips: Use less amounts, and maybe not every day.
Firstly the packaging is lovely, so fresh bright and clean of clutter. Linden Leaves is on ooint with its branding and the packaging is very appealing. This product, with it's eye dropper applicator delivers just the right amount, if not a little too generous for what you actually need. I found the tiniest amount of oil went a long way. The smell was delicious in the bottle, with the slightest hint of floral. But on my skin it takes on an ugly 'fish and chip' used oil smell, which might be due to my skin chemistry rather than the product itself. I also found the oil did not absorb well into my skin when used on its own and rather sat on the surface. Leaving a smudgey film behind as it dried. I also tried to combine it with the moisturiser and night cream of the same range and had the same issues. Lastly I mixed it in with a different moisturiser and had success with the dry down, the oily smell dissipated, and it seems to have absorbed into my skin leaving it soft and smooth. I am not 100% sold on this product, I have found it fussy to use and seen no results after using it every day for almost 2 weeks. I might try some in my hair as the next step and see if it improves some of the dry brittleness in the ends. Although, such a smal bottle it is probably not an economical solution for a hair treatment. I probably wont buy this again as it has not delivered on any of the claims of the product and it didn't seem to agree with my skin.
Tips: Mix a couple of drops in with you moisturiser and have great feeling skin all day!
Such a lovely product. Makes my skin super soft and when I wake my face feels hydrated. But I can’t get past the smell. It’s not a great scent and can’t get past it unfortunately.
i tried this and i think it was just my skin type but it started to feel itchy so immediately stooped using it after about three applications because the irritation wouldn't go away. i tried the product because a friend recommended it, but my skin was highly sensitive to it :(
There are pluses and minuses to this product for me. I have combination skin that is also prone to acne. I loved the crisp look of the packaging in white with a hint of pink detailing and that the box is recyclable due to use of vegetable inks. I love that this product is cruelty free which is a huge tick on my list when looking at New products to try. The bottle is gorgeous in a sort of white marble look with a white glass dropper top that looks stunning in any makeup and skincare set. The bottle is easy to use and dispense an accurate amount of product. I used this product as a once a week overnight boost due to my acne prone skin. The oils fragrance wasn't the nicest facial oil I've tried but wasn't bad just not my taste. The oil applied easily and smoothly to my face and neck. In the morning my face felt a bit oily and I found my skin would have a couple of small pimples pop up in the day after using this oil but nothing like my usual acne spots. I found my skin after the morning cleanse really supple and soft!! I also found that it reduced the darkness under my eyes a little but may have been more significant with more regular use of the product than once a week. Overall I don't find my face needing much in the way of facial oils as my moisturizing regime is enough but this was a nice wee treat for my skin and would likely be a great product for those with dryer skin or those less prone to acne. I definitely recommend this oil but for the higher price tag it's not something I personally eod invest in.
I received a free sample bottle of this oil with my purchase of a body wash in this range so I was so happy as I had read great reviews about this product but sadly my skin did not like it one bit.I have pretty sensitive skin and using oil serums on my face tend to break me out I have noticed, this one was not any different.I used the serum for about 4 days on well cleansed skin at night time and while it did give me a nice radiant glow,it also made me break out. This serum had such a lovely smell and felt lovely to use, even absorbed well into my skin but just was not suitable for my skin unfortunately which is a shame because I am starting to love Linden Leaves products.
I used it every day for two weeks and thought it would make the dry skin around my forehead better but this wasn't the case. Also didn't really like the smell of the product.
Tips: If applied in the morning before mineral foundation it helped the foundation last the whole day.
This product was part of a skincare range and I found it to be the less liked of the three. The packaging was easy to use and the product would last as you don't need too much for each application. However, I found when I used it my skin didn't feel the positive benefits as promised. I felt my skin was left too oily and felt clogged. I could use this product sparingly however wouldn't make it a regular in my routine.
Tips: Be careful how much you put on.
I read so many good things and raves about this facial oil on numerous blogs. So I was thrilled and lucky to score this in the first beauty vault. The ingredients sound promising and the beautiful, white porcelain bottle coupled with the luxurious vanilla scent suggest facial decadence. I decided to wait till winter to use this because I thought it would be too oily for my normal/combination skin. I used this nightly over winter and hoped I would soon see the miraculous on my skin. Unfortunately, for me the widely publicized smooth, brightened, clearer complexion that a lot bloggers with different skin types accredited to this oil, never happened for me (main reason why I don't subscribe to blogs). The things I like about this oil is the natural ingredients, beautiful white bottle and gorgeous scent. It did moisturize my skin but it's probably the thickest, facial oil I've ever used and even when my skin was drier during the winter it didn't really absorb instead it sat on top and soon proved too greasy for daytime use and so I used it at night and cut down to using it as a treatment oil after exfoliation or using a peel or mud masque. If an exfoliating treatment it would absorb better but I still had a slightly greasy face. I finally ended up buying some jojoba oil and adding a couple drops of this at night to enrich it and it worked best for me that way. Personally unless you have really, dry mature or extremely sensitive, red, dry skin this probably isn't worth the price. I was lucky to score in the vault but if I had actually paid for it I would have been really, disappointed. I might consider this in the future, like many, many years from now when I'm much, much older and need a good, thick oil for my face. However if you want a thick, luxury treatment oil to enrich a plain facial oil, like rosehip, jojoba or argan or you just want something to add to masques or facial moisturizers this will last you a long time.
Tips: This is a really thick oil so try to test is before you purchase it. If you are gifted a bottle or have purchased this find this is too thick you can just apply this as a treatment after doing a exfoliating masque or peel or add to your facial moisturizer or masque. Or if you want to use it daily get a plain facial oil, like rosehip, jojoba or argan and add mix a couple drops with the plain oil in your palm prior to application.
