Lines be gone

I don't know what it is but I seem to have a slight obsession with face masks I have no idea why I brought this when I did a lush order but I did and I am not disappointed

First off the one thing I really really dislike about this is its fresh which means it has to stay in the fridge and the use by date by the time I received this was 2 weeks. Why couldn't they make it so you have to add 2 ingredients together or something similar so it lasts longer or self preserving. Anyway moving on...

I already loved their mask of magnaminty and this one I like slightly more because of the results. It says on the pottle for an instant face lift and it really is. My skin looked so good after I used this the lines around my eyes were barely noticeable I really had to search them out and my forehead has definitely smoothed out.

The mask itself has a funny smell it reminds me of pine needles it's a herby earthy kind of smell but as it dries it becomes less noticeable. I leave it on for about 20 minutes. Removal with warm water and a face cloth is easy it just wipes away unlike some where you have to wash and wash. I really love this face mask for the results my skin is glowing and a reduction in the lines around my eyes and forehead. I have been using it everyday just because I don't want to waste the product since it is fresh. Will purchase this again for sure

Instant results!

I am a mega huge fan of lush! From the customer service, to the buying online it all makes it feel really nice and personal. Even when you see the badge of who make the product!

This mask is magical. It comes in the wee black tub. Don't forget to save all the tubs and take them in to get a free mask! It's a great service!

Anyway back to the magic! You keep it in the fridge. I wash my face first then apply. It tingles as it goes on and feel cooling. It's slightly messy. I leave on while I watch a tv programme say 30 minutes. It's a mask that dries. It's easily washed off with warm water.

Now look at how smooth your skin looks when its all clean. It's soft and yes the fine wrinkles have lifted away. I used this the night before our wedding it's that good.

Now it comes with a expiry date, I always ignore this for this mask as it lasts weeks after expiration easily! Just keep in the fridge of course. I haven't had a problem using it. It doesn't change texture or colour after expiry.

I tend to have dry sensitive skin and I can use this with absolutely no reaction.

Would I buy it again, heck yes. I have brought many many tubs of this

Tips: Use your favourite serum/oil/moisturiser and your skin will feel like a million dollars

Thanks Mumof3munchkins xx If your face is feeling dry or flakey, have your skin wet with a wee bit more moisture on it

Noticeable difference

This mask feels delicious, smells delicious and you know what, it probably tastes good too. I got instant results with my skin feeling tighter, lifted and more healthy. You don't need to use a lot of it.

Tips: Use a couple of times a week straight from the fridge. Don't leave on too long as it can be difficult to wash off once dry. I use the Lush Dark Angels scrub beforehand.

One of Lush's best!

Here comes another "what are you thinking, Lush!?!" moment. This is on Lush's about to be discontinued list but is one of my favourite fresh face masks that they do. Firstly, I got this for free for trading in five empty black pots. I always take advantage of this to get the fresh face masks. I find them quite a wasteful product due to the short expiry dates so for this reason I don't usually buy them. This does make me use them at least twice a week (I get a bit lazy about doing masks otherwise) and I always give some away to a friend.

I'm not big on clay masks but this one doesn't dry completely or make your face feel too tight. It does give it a bit of a lift, as claimed, and did smooth out fine lines, albeit temporarily. My skin felt plump and moisturised afterwards. It does have a very natural smell and some large vege bits in it. Those who are used to Lush masks shouldn't find this too off putting. I apply with a brush to make things easier but it is a bit messy to remove (a muslin cloth helps)

Would I use this again? Absolutely, if it wasn't being discontinued! And I'm really not sure why? Could it be that asparagus is too expensive an ingredient when it's out of season? I've noticed that many of the products being discontinued have more expensive ingredients in them. Which is a real shame as this really is a great mask.

Lush Ayesha - Amazing Results With the First Use

This was one of the first fresh Lush masks to catch my attention, mainly because of the kiwi fruit. Kiwis are so high in vitamin C and the asparagus just sounded unusual in a face mask but I definitely go for anything that helps to brighten my skin. Unlike a lot of Lush goodies this mask doesn't have the best smell, but the results I got more than make up for it. The first time used this I spread a thin layer on my face and left it on for about an hour. You only need to leave it on for 5-10 minutes, but since it wasn't stinging and my face didn't feel tight drying I felt I could leave it on for longer while I watched something. Since it dried out completely on my face it took a little more effort to rinse off all the bits using just warm water. But once it was rinsed off my skin was incredibly soft for a mask that didn't feel like it was exfoliating my skin. It felt so smooth and soft like I had used a scrub and a peel with acids that would've stung my face a bit to get that soft. The fine lines I had on my forehead had softened a bit. Best of all my skin wasn't irritated or red or even tight and dry, but it did absorb the skincare I layered on well. This mask actually performed better than I thought. I thought it would just be another clay or mud mask that would leave my skin clean and mildly exfoliated, I didn't think my skin would be so smooth and soft like I had done a peel. The next time I used it the results weren't as dramatic even though I left it on for about an hour at least but I was still left with really soft skin. The following times I used it I got the same results as the second time. I guess once you open the pot the fresh ingredients don't pack as much of a punch. The only con I can think of with this is the short dated best before date and the scent isn't the best. But that wouldn't stop me repurchasing this or trading in 5 Lush pots for it.

Tips: You can get a free face mask if you trade in 5 clean empty Lush pots. I like to use it 2-3 times a week since it's really gentle on my skin and also to get as many uses out of it before best before date. You do have to keep this in the fridge as well. I plan to keep using mine even after it's best before date.

Ay Ay Ayyeesshaaa

My mission is to try all of Lush's face masks. I'm making a pretty good dent and I'm finding ones I like, ones I hate. I like this one!

When this arrived I smelled it straight away. Da heeelll kinda smell was this!? I can't pick out any smell properly, but it smells a bit earthy. When questioned, the man said it smelled like lavender and dirt. So. There you go. It's not an awful smell but it does take a minute to get used to.

On the face it applies nice and easy, with minimal "bits" to get in your way. It dries nicely, I think rather slowly as well which I like. Removal is just as easy - the clay dries and so once wet its revived and bought to life again, so you can move it around and get it off your face. The clay doesn't dry to a hard mask either, it's still quite soft and you can definitely still use your face while its on and dry.

It claims to smooth away wrinkles, and not that I have too many but I haven't noticed it doing anything of the sort. Upon further inspection of my face, my eye wrinkles have lessened slightly, but it could be because of an eye cream I'm using. Who knows.

While it's not something I'd repurchase straight away, I would in future if I wanted a clay mask. It's really nice!

Oh so refreshing!

A food mask? Surely this wouldn't do what it promises! But seeing as it's Lush and I love Lush I proceed................with caution. A couple of things annoy me about this Ayesha Mask. Number 1: It's price! But then you must be prepared to pay for natural NZ made products so ok I can look past that one. Number 2: The use by date only lasts 10-14 days in the fridge! I in no way can use this in 10-14 days even using it every day. It's a waste of product to have such a short use by date on it or have such a huge amount of it in the container. Last but not least number 3: the smell! I am NOT a fan of the smell of this mask. It smells of herbs and cucumber which isn't a delight to the nose when I have to wear it on my face.

I always love the little sticker that says who packed the product because it makes it that much more personal and like it was sent with care to me. I can tell Lush products from a mile away in it's no nonsense, clean and simple design with reusable pots and bottles to save on rubbish! I love that about a business.

It almost looks like and has the consistency of guacamole and is so weird to apply to the facial area. Once removed from the fridge though oh the fun putting the mask on! It's an instant hit of refreshing cold to the face which is perfect for the hot summer days we have had recently. In the heat however, it tends to melt a bit and fall off so I tend to put it on and go sit outside where it doesn't matter if it falls off and minimizes clean up operations. I used this mask every day for the 14 days and still had at least four masks left and for the price I think that is a bit much to be left over considering it has such a short time frame to use it in.

After rinsing off and leaving bits of the mask in the sink because it didn't wash down immediately my skin felt refreshed and soft to the touch. I noticed a slight tightening of the skin after the fourteen days which got me excited and willing to try it again if it is to have results like that. I think I would rather try a better smelling mask next time because this one really did make my nostrils cringe despite the good results.

Tips: I used it on my chest area too to help soften and firm it. It worked!
