Bah Humbug is often associated with the miser Ebenezer Scrooge. However these bars cost to much to be the bubble bars of misers and the bubble bar itself is generous in its bubbles and not miser-like at all.
Lush's Bar Humbug Bubble Bar to me feels like the Christmas edition of The Comforter Bubble Bar with it's white swirl and replacing the pink with purple. As a result, this bubble bar has the scent of black liquorice. Which I personally can't say is a scent that reminds me of Christmas, but it is a yummy scent anyway.
Crumbling this bubble bar under running water then agitating the water creates plenty of bubbles and then using spa jets can create even more. As such I don't think the whole bubble ba is needed at once because with the whole bubble bar you can create more bubbles than your bath can hold. Personally I cut my bubble bars into quarters. But if you have a bigger bath or want to really treat yourself, half a bubble bar is plenty I think. But it depends on the size of your bath.
I wish they had this bubble bar out all year round.
I love lush bath time I have yet to find a bath bomb or bubble bar that has disappointed me so when I saw this Bah Humbug in their new seasonal range for Christmas it was the first thing to hit the cart.
Packaging wise as with all Lush products there is no official packaging as the company has a no waste policy and so the bath bombs and bubble bars are sold loose and then wrapped up in Lush's recycled paper upon purchasing.
This gorgeous plum purple wrapped with a white filling looks pretty but smells divine as I love the smell of liquorice and it has a blackcurrant and anise type aroma too so it is very enveloping and relaxing yet stimulating too a total win for the morning after cure of hangovers.
Crumbled under a running warm tap the bar creates masses of frothy bright white bubbles that if like me you use the whole bar in a greedy mode where you can easily cut this into 2-3 servings to be more economical. You end up with a confetti of purple, pink and white crumbs all over the tops of the bubbles by the time you immerse yourself within them and into the dark murky purple waters below.
Not only do you get a blissful and relaxing bath that you don't want to leave but once you do pressured yourself to exit it your skin is left soft, supple and highly moisturised. A perfect seasonal treat for mind, body and soul.
