Lush Big Buffy Body Butter Exfoliating scrub for your seating area. Use Buffy on wet skin, in the bath or the shower, to make you softer and smooth to the touch. Buff yourself all over, paying special attention to your backside; rinse off the ground up exfoliating bits of rice, almonds and beans and pat yourself dry. There’s no need for body lotion after a Buffy, because the cocoa and shea butters in it moisturise your skin beautifully. Slay that cellulite.

No need to moisturise after shower - woohooo!

I walked into Lush and told them I was too lazy to moisturise my body and so they handed me Buffy. You can imagine my surprise when they told me it will help smooth my back cheeks and reduce the appearance of cellulite. I stood there thinking to myself hmmmm I have no care in the world if my back cheeks are smooth or not until they jumped in with “but it can also be used as a body moisturiser in the shower”...ahhhhh I see.

I love this product and recommend it to those who are: 1.Lazy like myself to moisturise after bathing 2.Prone to dry skin 3.Wanting a great exfoliator and moisturiser in one

I loved it so much the first time round that in my next purchase I bought my besties a piece each because it’s just one of those small affordable luxuries you want to share with others. It comes in a solid bar but unfortunately for an amazing product it looks absolutely dull and boring. The exfoliator can be a bit rough for some people so best to ensure your body is completely wet before using Buffy. I run it all over my body (back cheeks too tiheeee) and it does an amazing job at exfoliating and moisturising. There is a light fragrance of shea butter mixed with almonds and I notice that the water just glides off my body. Once done in the shower I pat myself dry and jump into my PJs – all done. No need to moisturise – halleluia!!!

The issues I have with this product is that you need to be very careful when hopping out of your shower because your tub will be slippery and unfortunately you’ll probably need to clean the residue left behind. Another issue I have is the fragrance on my skin AFTER I’ve patted myself dry – it tends to smell like ‘fatty oils’ which doesn’t make me gag but I’m not overly happy about it. It’s not overwhelming so I use a perfume oil roll on ball (favourite is MOR in Snow Gardenia) to glide over my décolletage and my problem is solved. Last issue is that it can feel like an ‘oily’ residue on your skin but honestly it’s no different to putting coconut oil on as a body moisturiser you just need to give it time to soak in.

Buffy comes in 2 sizes and I buy either one depending on my budget at the time. How long it lasts me and the price point depends on how often I use it a week, how long I keep it under running water and how well I store it and all up it’s not too bad. The smaller size (90g) lasts me probably 2 months if used 2x a week and the bigger size (200g) lasts me just under 4 months. Another Lush must-have!

Tips: 1. Clean your body first then begin your Buffy routine 2. Ensure your body is completely wet before using Buffy 3. Pat yourself dry after your shower 4. If you don’t like the fragrance use a perfume oil or light spritz of your favourite night time fragrance

Buff away winter

BR member worldofsooziewong (aka the Lush Queen) recommended I try this when I was torn about You Snap the Whip - which I adore, but melts away. Time for a new hashtag - #listentosoozie

While I prefer the scent of You Snap the Whips, Buffy is otherwise better. The scent is very like that of the Brazened Honey facemask; quite a natural, honey-and-oats type scent.

I get the smaller size bar, which fits nicely into my palm. I can then scrub it over my skin easily.

This doesn't melt away anywhere near as badly as YSTW, which makes it much more pocket friendly. it's a bit 'scratchier' in that the scrubby particles are bigger, but i don't mind that. The bar is crammed full of soothing, hydrating oils, which leave skin really nice.

I got this to combat scaly dry winter legs, and it's perfect. I use this a couple times a week int he shower and my legs are smoother, more hydrated, and not tormenting me with late winter dry scratchy skin!

So, in short, if this smelled like You Snap the Whip it would be perfect, but it's near enough. Will definitely repurchase

Tips: go into Lush and play with this one - it can feel a little greasy on skin at first so give it an instore try out before you commit, perhaps!

Exfoliating, Nourishing, quick and easy... but

This was something i got in my Lush Legends pack, honestly, it didn't excite me, i didn't even notice it. It wasn't until i went into lush and tried it, that i needed to buy it.. and then had the happy moment when i realized i already had it! Yay.

This bar comes in a small square, and is a bit smaller than the palm of my hand to give you an idea of the size. For the size, i do think this is quite pricey, and not an economical as i would have hoped. However, i did receive it in a pack, so i'm not too disappointed.

They way this works, is you use it in the shower and apply it to wet skin, just like you would a bar of soap. It gently exfoliates, and hydrates at the same time. It feels nice using it, but i have to say that you do go through a lot of product. I'm not sure if that's just me personally. I used this all over my body because i want to exfoliate and hydrate my whole body, and i found because of this, this product only lasted a few weeks :(.

I will say my skin did feel smooth in the shower, but the buffy bar left a residue where i felt like i had to wash my skin again to get rid of it, but once my skin was dry, it felt silky smooth and amazing!

I still feel undecided on this product. It has pros and cons. It did exfoliate, but i dont think it did anything to my cellulite. It also hydrated my skin, but left a residue in the shower that i didnt like, but once my skin was dry it felt amazing. At this stage, i won't be repurchasing this product at this stage, but might reconsider in the future

Was Okay

I got this product in a Lush gift pack and was really excited to try it. It looked intriguing and I was interested to see how it worked.

The smell was average. I like quite a strong scent and to me this was more earthy which is something I wouldn't personally purchase. I found using it straight under water melted it to much so I had to wet my body, make sure my hands were warm and then use it. It moisturised well but I didn't find it gritty enough to exfoliate. This product didn't excite me much and to be honest I forgot about it till recently when I threw it out. I did use over half but found it didn't do a lot so just got rid of it. U would not purchase this one again but have purchased a different one in hopes I'll like that one more!

Rough!

I have brought this a couple of times now thinking I'll try it again to see if I can fall for it... NOPE

So to look at its not as exciting as the other lush products and cretin ally doesn't smell like them! Imagine a hard block of butter with sand through it. This is what it's like.

In the shower you need to have it kept away from the water on something so the moisture can drip off it as well.

Wet you skin and gently rub the bar on. It's good for exfoliating, it's good for on your legs/bikini area to reduce ingrown hairs. Rub it on the sole of your feet to keep the heels getting dry and cracked.

As this is sort of soft when it gets wet, it's like watching money melt down the drain. I guess depending on your financial situation if you would mind it being used up so quickly.

I find that I still need to moisturize after using it.

Tips: I would use it to shave legs with once a week for a good exfoliating session

Buffy Buff Buff

This product is one of my all time favourite lush products! I've been using this for a few years now and will continue to use it.

This particular body butter does get used up more quickly than the others but it's so good that I don't really care that much, providing I have the funds to replace. I use this over my entire body before I get out of the shower and left it soak in for a while to get full benefits. Afterwards my skin is so unbelievably soft it's insane! My entire body is like a baby's bottom hehe. It exfoliates, adds moisture and also helps get rid of these weird red rash patches on my arms. NOTHING has ever been able to heal these patches expect buffy, which is amazing because they were so embarrassing! To use I quickly run it under running water and rub all over my body paying particular attention to any real dry areas.

Buffy has a really subtle scent so if you don't like strong smells you will like this. It's also good because it doesn't interfere with your perfume. I love using this before I go on a date so they can be like, "wow you have such beautiful soft skin!" :D.

Would I recommend? Hell yes! This product is amazing and so worth it. It even makes my feet nice and soft which is usually a mission. It comes in two sizes so if you don't want to commit to the big size you don't have too. I also think it may come in an even smaller size in gift packs.

Tips: Keep it somewhere where it can dry out otherwise it won't last as long and it will melt. DO NOT keep it in the shower.

Smooth as a babies bum...

This product is gorgeous. I use it in the bath, and it leaves me with the most supple and smooth skin. I love how it makes my skin feel, although it does stay quite 'wet' feeling for a while which can be a bit annoying. BUT I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who gets unwanted shaving rash, and bumps because this product helps a lot! :)

Lush Big Buffy Body Butter

It's not that I outright disliked this product, but I was a little underwhelmed and disappointed with it. I use a lot of Lush products and I think this has been the first one that I haven't loved. I received a generously sized sample of this with another purchase.

The rich creamy scent was delicious but not as strong as some other things I have tried. I found that it melted away really quickly and left a hell of a mess in the shower. Unless I was using it wrong, I figure that you're meant to wet the bar and apply it to your skin like you would with a bar of soap?

It did an okay job of exfoliating but I wouldn't have deemed it better than anything else I have tried. As for lasting moisture, the initial soft feeling was great but it felt like it was gone as soon as I dried off and I had to use a separate moisturiser.

It wasn't a terrible product but I feel there are better things I could use in its place. I probably wouldn't go out and buy this.

Best exfoliating scrub ever!

I just bought this last week and there hasn't been a day that I haven't used it! This product smells so amazing and works really well. It exfoliates and leaves a layer of oil that soaks into your skin to leave you feeling moisturized and relaxed. If you're a person that gets backne as well, it will do a good job on clearing it up. I have already noticed a difference in the way my boyfriends skin looks already. Completely recommend to anyone!

Too oily and rough

I found this left my skin more oily that moisturized, also it was a bit of a harsh exfoliator, I now only use it on my feet and knees and its amazing for those areas, but not the rest of my body. Its a novelty item not a necessity

Tips: Use on your feet, it amazing for that
