I went a wee but cray cray at Christmas stocking up on these because they looked cute and figured if I didn't like them or use them the mini me's would.
The cute bear shaped bath bomb easily fits in the palm of my hand. He's a bit boring though in white with a few brown flecks.
I pop him in the bath and watch as he slightly fizzes around. The fizzing doesn't really last long and he doesn't put on much of a show and the water doesn't change colour. There are a few circles of oil, it looks like a bath I would take whilst pregnant with a few sprinkles of bio oil in it.
When I'm in the bath i feel like something is missing the water looks naked no colour, no lustre no bubbles.. It was weird. There was a sweet, sweet scent though maybe from the Shea butter.
Once I hop out and dry, my skin feels super soft and moisturised. That is about the only good thing I can find with this bath bomb. Needless to say the mini me's took over the last 4 of these.
I'm going to start this review by saying that I'm really not a bath person. I much prefer having a shower and I just can't really see what is so great about having a bath. I'm also a lush addict though and since I'm not a bath person, this means that half of that shop is things that I just can't really use. I decided to change that and picked up a butterbear gift set in the lush boxing day sale (yes, it has taken me almost 8 months to actually try one out, what does that tell you!?)
These little bears are actually really cute looking. I got 6 of them in a really cool bear tin as well. They are a white/off white colour and have a really sweet vanilla choc scent. Although it's taken me so long to actually use one, I have taken them out numerous times to sniff. I so wish that lush sold a butterbear shower gel, I'd be all over that!
I had read that these didn't give off any bubbles so I decided to crumble up some pink fun to add some bubbles to my bath. Pink fun is a very strong scent so it did dull down the bear. I'm not sure what I was expecting when I dropped this in the bath but it was quite underwhelming. There were slight bubbles but no pretty colours or glitters. I did pick up the bear a couple of times and it looked kind of odd with little bits in it, I found while actually having my bath that these seemed to be bits of actual cocoa butter. I think these helped to slightly hydrate my skin but not enough to make me feel like I could skip the lotion afterwards.
Overall, this bear did not make me fall in love with baths. I feel like maybe this could be a good if you were going to add a bubble bar or something but on it's own, it's not really special. I personally won't use another one. I need something to blow my socks off and this very clearly, didn't do that!
