Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Face Mask

I love Lush as a company. I love how most of their ingredients are natural and how they are against animal testing. I have already tried their love lettuce fresh face mask and loved it. The lady in the store recommended this one to me as it helps people with dry skin, helps with the appearance of pimples and redness. I found that this mask didn't do that for me. My skin felt quite dry afterwards and needed some moisturizer on it. My pimples and redness showed more after I started using this product. The smell is amazing. My skin felt softer after using this mask but it still felt like I needed to put moisturizer on. You get a lot of product in the container and I find it quite hard to use all the product before the use by date. I wouldn't buy this product again. It just wasn't for me.

While my skin isn't really In the catastrophe bracket i have started getting annoying little pimples around my chin and since changing my skin care regime around a bit my normally very dry skin is behaving itself and its nearly normal still a little dry but much better. But I do love the ingredients that are in this and ultimately made me buy it.

Blueberries, they are full of antioxidants and they smell good (and taste good) chamomile, yes let me sit down and relax while I have a face mask on. Irish moss I love eating it, not sure about skin but I'm sure if it tastes good it will smell good.

This is a 'fresh' face mask so it does need to be kept in the fridge also the fresh masks don't have a very long shelf life this one has 21 days so I am using it twice weekly just so I'm not wasting it.

The colour is a mix of grey and blue with big chunks of blueberry In it. It's quite thick and hard to apply its almost like a putty. If you held it in your hand and rolled it into a ball it would easily hold its shape.

Once I get this spread over my face I sit down and relax, the smell of this is beautiful it almost has a bit of a floral scent to it. I leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash it off, it was quite dry and most of it just fell off into the sink making the rest easy to wash off.

Once dried My skin has that 'pregnancy glow' look to it. It's even, soft, and looks amazing. It hasn't dried my skin out or left me with more breakouts. Just healthy looking skin. I really like this face mask and will buy again

The name is so fitting. My skin was horribly dry and spotty my friend came up for a girls weekend with two pots of the "catastrophe" we sat in the spa for 20 mins with out face masks on. They reduced the redness and moisturised our skin. Relatively cheap. Easy to apply and get 2-3 uses out of each pot. I would recommend this as a gift as they smell beautiful, work really well on different skin types

Lush make the best face masks and I have tested them all out of course! The Catastrophe Cosmetic mask is the best smelling mask I have tried, it leaves the skin feeling so refreshed and soothed. The blueberries in it make this mask complete. So if you are looking for a good pamper night mask that leaves your skin feeling smooth - look no further!

This mask smells divine, and it works well too! It really helps to calm those angry breakouts. It obviously doesn't make them go away instantly, but it does improve the look of it. The only problem I have with this-but also with all lush masks, is the expiry. I believe thy only last 2 or so weeks in your fridge, and I don't use masks often enough to use it all up in that time frame.

Every once and awhile I like to treat myself to a fresh Lush Face Mask to pamper my skin. I was recommended Catastrophe Cosmetic by a friend who loved it and now so do I!

The first thing you notice when you open the tub is the lovely pastel blue colour of the mask, which is dotted with bits of real, fresh blueberry. The second thing you notice is the smell! Fresh, fruity, and you guessed it - blueberries! The mask smells delicious both in the tub and on your face, making the entire experience of using it delightful!

As the mask is fresh, you have to keep it chilled. This means that when you put it on, it provides instant, cooling relief. The blueberry bits make it a little bit difficult to smooth on evenly, but once the mask is on it feels fantastic!

It has managed to calm my skin even at its most angry, and always leaves it feeling smooth, soft and glowing. This is the perfect, gentle face mask for problem skin!

I got this for free as I took back 5 empty clean pots (the loyalty scheme they run), and I am definitely not disappointed! This is super soothing for sensitive skin, rich in antioxidants. It leaves your skin smooth and takes away redness. However I do find it a little drying so I moisturise after use. 5 mins is definitely all you need to get the benefits of this fresh facial mask, and it isn't stubborn to wash off like other face masks! Great little addition to my skin care routine. The smell of the product is not over powering, with hints of herbs and blueberries. The texture is soft with bits of real blueberries, so its best to keep it in the fridge.

A natural blueberry mask the smell of this is great. It's made with fresh blueberries so keep this in the fridge. And does have an expiration. A wonderful working mask for a treat.
