I got this as part of a gift pack for Christmas last year. First off this body lotion smells amazing and is very festive in terms of scent. It's a very thick, rich lotion and possibly a bit much for my skin. I found this body lotion was nice on my skin but it did tend to sit on top of it and leave an oily film on my skin. I put it all over one morning and for the rest of the day my skin was slippery and just felt a bit yuck. It did soak in and make my skin feel nice but the residue it left on my skin was not great and put me off using it. I will only put it on before bed now to avoid the all day oiliness that it bring by putting it on in the morning. I will use the rest of the small pot i have but to be honest I wouldn't repurchase this body lotion.

Reviews
This review is coming in a bit late since this was a limited edition Christmas release and it's now nearly March! But I've only just got round to properly trying out this goodie, so better late than never eh.
The Lush Celebrate Body Lotion is absolutely lovely. I'm a total Lushie already (Cruelty free? Hand made? Recycled + recycable? Fairtrade? Yes please!), so wasn't surprised to fall in love with this lotion as well.
It comes in a MASSIVE pot, filled to the brim with delicious product. A screw-top lid makes it slightly less easy to use than a pump-top, but I don't really care - it's what's on the inside that counts! This lotion is quite thick without being a body butter. It's creamy and soothing on dry skin, chocka with nourishing goodies. It smells fresh and sweet without being overpowering. It's less 'festive' smelling than I expected, and more like a tropical-cocktail-on-the-beach-type scent. Really lovely. I use this after showering, before I go to bed, and I always wake up with soft, smooth skin.
Tips: If you clean + return 5 of these black Lush pots, you can swap them for a free face mask!
This was a lovely festive moisturiser, and managed to grab this in one of the BR Vaults. It is very thick and creamy, a small bit definitly goes a long way. I wouldnt recommend this as an everyday moisturiser as I found it to be a bit too rich and sticky, but it is great once a week or so. I prefered to use it after doing a body exfoliate to really hydrate and found my skin absorbed it much better. It is a bit pricey but as I said a little goes a long way!
I would prefer this to have a different sort of packaging as the screw top is a bit annoying, but at least it counts as one of the 5 pots to return to get a free Fresh Face Mask!
I managed to nab a 45g tub of this body lotion that came as a gift pack in the christmas stock. I had heard so many great things about this lotion so of course I bought the gift pack just to get this gem.
It comes in its familiar black tub with its name on the top and front. It has a screw top lid to seal in freshness and goodness. I love that I can stack the tubs up to save space which makes me happy.
The lotion itself is creamy but not thick. I usually prefer a thicker consistency but I push ahead anyway. The first scent that hits me is a fresh citrus, lime I am thinking as I huff it in. The second is a cocoa butter like smell which would make so much sense in a body lotion to keep the skin smooth. The colour is creamy off white with a hint of faded lime colour, all very in keeping with its fresh scent.
To the most important part, I smooth it over my entire body (besides the face) after I have showered. My skin drinks it in quickly and leaves my body smelling of a citrus tree (yum). After it has dried to the touch my skin is already noticeably smoother and plump. It feels as if a thirst I didn't know was there, was quenched by this. After using the entire tub now, although I love it my eczema areas of skin dislike the lime intensely. It is well known that citrus flares up eczema so I stick to using it everywhere else on my body but avoid these couple of areas. This works for me perfectly and I continue to have soft moisturised skin to show off, yussss!
Tips: Do not use on eczema because it tends to make it worse due to the citrus
I received a very generous sample of this moisturiser in a 45g tub, it was included in part of an online order. The same black tubs that can be exchanged for a free fresh face mask. Upon opening the tub I was greeted by a fresh scent of flowers, lily would be my pick, it has a light uplifting fragrance that has citrus tones but heavy on floral notes. It's quite pretty and feminine but not something I would choose for myself.
The product is creamy white and very dense. I find the scent too strong for my liking and the actual moisturizing properties make my skin feel oily and at the same time like I need more moisturiser (I don't have excessively dry skin). I tried so many times in different ways (after showers, first thing in the morning, hand cream etc etc) because I really wanted to like this product but sadly I can only use it before bed and mostly apply it to my feet before popping bed socks on.
I wont personally repurchase and it's not something I would gift (one friend springs to mind as I know she would love the scent but she is allergic to one of the main ingredients in this).
When I first spotted this on the Lush website, I laughed out loud, there was no way I was paying nearly $40 for a body lotion. When I saw it in the BR vault, however, I sat there refreshing on vault day because I couldn't let it go, and I had to have it. And have it I did.
Surprisingly, a little of this goes a long way. It's thick like TBS body butters but at least I know this is definitely cruelty free. It's stark white and smells like the Golden Wonder bath bomb, but I feel like this smells more like the Fruit Loops cereal than anything else, and I ain't complaining because my inner and outer child love that colorful delight.
As I said, it's thick, so you don't need a lot. I scoop some out with my clean hands and apply to body, rubbing until its mostly in. The one thing I hate about this is that it never absorbs properly, so if you want to wear skinny jeans you better believe you won't be wearing them in a hurry.
I do like this moisturizer but if I can't wear pants with it on I don't see the point of it. I don't think I'd repurchase it, sadly. It's not a miss for the company, as it is so lovely, it just has a big negative I can't get past.
I’m not entirely sure where I got this from now, possibly the beauty vault, but I found it recently in the back of drawer – surprising seeing as I love Lush products.
I noticed it said it was best before July – oops it's October now! Anyway I opened the black, screw top pottle it to see if it was still alright. I was greeted by the smell YUM!. It is kind of fruity but not exactly citrus – which may be because of its age (eek).Anyway, it is lovely, and lingers on the skin.
I loved the buttery feel of the thick, white, cream when I was rubbing it on my skin. BUT sadly, like most other people, I found it very greasy and after 15 minutes of rubbing my hands, I gave in and washed it off. I have to say though, my hands were soft after I’d dried them, and the scent was still very strong. So while it definitely is too greasy, it is still usable.
I don’t think I’d buy it, it really is too greasy for me, and I haven’t really thought of a suitable alternative use for it. Sad though, it really does smell lovely.
Here we go.....yet another limited edition Lush product which is now longer available. Why must you always do this to me Lush!!! This hasn't been seen since Christmas 2015 which is strange as last Christmas' limited edition shower gel 'Bubbly' shares the same scent (I'm sure I'm not the only person who likes their shower gels and body lotions matchy matchy)
I bought this a couple of times in the larger pots and have clung onto a smaller 45g pot from a gift box. Having just examined the usual made by/expiry sticky I've just realised that this is now seven months out of date! Whoops! However it has not deteriorated at all and smells just as amazing as when it was fresh. Mmmmmm.... its heavy lime and Brazilian orange oil scent is rounded out with a bit of cognac oil. It definitely makes me feel like drinking cocktails on a Brazilian beach!
The consistency is more body butter than body lotion. Unlike other reviewers I find it absorbs quickly and whilst a layer sits on the skin, I don't find this greasy (I would describe my skin as normal - if there is such a thing) Once applied to warm skin, I find the scent of this so uplifting!
Would I buy this again? Absolutely! And I'd pair it with Bubbly shower gel. Oh, that's right, I can't buy it again. Hmmmm...sort it out Lush!
I received this in a Christmas gift pack, I was so happy as you can't have too many moisturisers in the middle of summer. Swimming, sun shine, t-shirts and shorts it's all tough on the skin. So any moisturiser I get is welcomed with open arms.
This comes in the standard small black tub with screw top lid, I love these tubs!
I lift off the lid and I am greeted by the most sweet lime scent, unlike anything I have ever come across I love it. It's not typically something I would go after but it really is mouthwatering.
The white cream is gorgeously rich and thick and unfortunately this is where the love of this product ends.
I start rubbing it on my skin and find it really oily and greasy, it didn't absorb into my skin very easily it just felt like it was an oil slick on top of my skin. My skin still felt greasy the next morning, I couldn't wait to get in the shower to wash it off. Unfortunately I won't buy this again and I won't finish the tub either. Such a shame as the scent really is gorgeous.
I picked up a massive sample of this in October when the range first came out and loved it, but had plenty of lotions on the go so wrestled with myself about need vs want.... then managed to pick up a full sized pot of it in the BR vault in Dec '15...YAY!
Lush Celebrate Body Lotion comes in the larger (and the mid, I believe?) of their classic black pots - remember, these are recyclable, and if you take 5 back to Lush they actually gift you a free pottle of face mask worth around $15! The posts are screw top, which is admittedly a little awkward with slippery lotion hands, but thems the breaks and you get used to it.
The lotion itself is thick - you can hold the pottle upside down (momentarily) safely, and a rich, creamy white. The scent is citrus (lime and orange) with almond oil and cognac, so it's not especially girly. It's a warm, rich fresh scent, and (typical of Lush) not particularly subtle, so may interfere with perfumes etc. I tend to use it more as a fragranced lotion, so in lieu of perfume.
As it's so rich, it takes a little working into your skin, and a while to absorb properly. Once it has done its thing, skin feels amazing and is lushly, beautifully scented, but the waiting is a bit annoying. I put this on sitting at my work station this morning, but in winter i think i'd do it immediately post shower, or at night. (not that it'll last until winter :p)
Golden Wonder bath bomb has the same scent, if you're into layering, or want a cheaper way to try it! AS it's LE you might not be able to buy it other than in xmas packages, which are still (as of 11 Jan 2016) available online and instore, but might be worth checking out a sample when these come back into stores this year, as I think this is one of Lush's better lotions.
Points lost for the absorbency, screw top pottle (inconvenient!) and the price point, which is very high for a lotion in my opinion. I don't think I'd pay $37.90 for a full size for myself, but then again it's special function is pretty useful (see 'tips) so maybe!
Tips: This is actually really, really good on post-shaved skin *everywhere*, if you get my TMI meaning!
