There are SO many things I love about the Lush Charity Pot Body Lotion I barely know where to begin. I guess firstly I adore how by purchasing this lotion you're not only supporting the fantastic causes that Lush throws themselves into, but small charities that really need our help. Just such a great concept, and it helps that the lotion itself is a stunner! Super thick, super luxurious, smooths on like a dream and doesn't leave the skin overly greasy. I'm not obsessed with the scent but I also don't mind it. Definitely improves dry skin quickly, and in that regard is totally worth the price tag. Plus, since this is a black pot product you can bring back five empty containers and swap them for a fresh face mask. I will most likely continue to buy this awesome product for as long as they produce them!

I picked this up in my local Lush store when they were having a charity pot party supporting Shakti Women's Refuge who are a great charity, so I was keen to help out by purchasing this. I also got to make my own bath bomb to take home so it was a really fun event.
This comes in the usual Lush black tub which you can return to exchange for a face mask. It has a thick consistency which is more like a body butter than a lotion. It smells lovely - it's subtle compared to some Lush scents and reminds me of a delicious custard. It does sit quite heavily on the skin but leaves it feeling incredibly soft. It's does take a while to dry down so not great if you are putting jeans on straightaway.
I only used this occasionally as I usually use Lush's in shower body conditioners and butters so it lasted me awhile. It's so lovely and luxurious to use though that I will definitely buy it again.
Tips: Can also be used as a hand cream.
If I had a bottomless pit of money I would have a never ending supply of this!! If you're into super oily/creamy/delicious moisturizers then give this a go! A little goes a long way so it is worth the price - and it goes to charity (it's a win-win!!) Did I mention it smells delicious and it has the texture of a less oily coconut oil if that is even possible. Seriously, try it! I've never used anything quite like it.
I got this because I liked the scent and I liked the idea of the profits going to charities. This cream smells like a combo of vanilla, soft florals and there's that nutty note towards the end. I really like it. It's very nourishing and but it does take a little while to absorb, so unless you are freshly scrubbed or got really dry skin, I would recommend using this to layer a bit more moisture over drier parts of your body. I really like using this on the backs of my hands because it keeps them moisturized for longer than if I just used a light hand lotion because I'm typing and don't want a grease spots on my keyboard. Also great for knees and elbows after you get out of the shower. I would repurchase this, after all a small tub is very reasonably priced and the profits go to charity.
Tips: Use on drier spots on your body like knees, elbows when you're straight out of the shower. Also works beautifully on the backs of your hands.
Guys this stuff is AMAZING!!! It smells absolutely divine, not too sweet or over powering, just the perfect hint of that typical Lush scent on the skin. What has made me fall in LOVE with this lotion over anything is how easy it is to rub into your skin. You dont need a lot and it absorbs so quickly but still leaves your skin feeling hydrated & almost a little oily. Not that tacky oily thats annoying more that luxurious touch of oil that when my legs rubs together they just smooth past each other....honestly heaven! To top off this life changing cream is the fact that every time I buy it I am helping someone else.
love buying the charity body lotions because portions of the money made goes to whatever the charity of the month is, which i love.
as far as i know the scents change but theyre always delicious. theyre wonderfully thick yet thin enough to spread and they always, ALWAYS rub in so effortlessly and you feel and smell so amazing. used the night before you wake up feeling so soft and the scent still lingers on the skin. its just amazing!
id gladly repurchase this!
I bought a large pottle of this from Lush at some stage this year. This is a special product in that Lush donate the proceeds to charity. The only part that doesn't go to charity is the GST. I'm not sure of how many charities benefit from this money but my particular pottle has a sticker on top saying that Hurrah is one of them. I like that this is a NZ organisation, obviously overseas charities need our help too but it's nice to support something here too. As far as packaging goes, this is the same as any other lush lotion. It has a screw top lid and has a little sticker on it saying who made it and when you need to use it up by.
This has lots of great ingredients in it, lots of oils like jojoba and olive plus some cocoa butter. You can tell with just that, that is going to be very moisturising. This is a light off white colour and smells very good. I'm not quite sure what the scent is but it smells sort of like a musky perfume. It's quite warm and inviting. The texture is thick but not as thick as a body butter. You don't need a huge amount and it rubs in pretty easily. Not instantly though. I am enjoying using this on my dry skin now as I feel like it really keeps the dryness at bay. I think this would be the best for winter though. It's warm at the moment but I don't think I'd enjoy using something this rich during the hottest months. This pottle would last me around a month with daily use all over my body. I guess it is expensive so it's not something I'd use all the time but it's nice as a treat and you know the money is going to do good things too so win win really!
