Christmas cranberry face mask

I was lucky to get this face mask as it was the last one in the shop. The texture was quite thick and smelt quite musky. The colour is a vibrant red. When I put it on my skin I found it a little difficult because of how thick it was. Once I took it off my skin felt amazing and soft. The smell stayed on my face all day aswell

Tips: Leave it in room temperature before applying to face

Fresh and Glowy

I picked up a tub of this a wee while ago after one of the lovely LUSH girls did a demo of it on my hand. (Unfortunately?) now I wish it was available all year instead of just at Christmas!

The Cranberry Festive Mask is a very thick paste-like mask, with dried cranberries and fennel seeds scattered throughout. The clay and tofu base is tinted slightly pink, and smells quite herbally (not unpleasantly), with a hint of cranberry.

As it is very thick it can be a little hard to spread evenly over my face, so if needed I sometimes scoop some into the palm of my hand and add some water (very little) to mix it to a slightly thinner consistency, which makes it easier to apply.

This mask takes about 10-15 minutes to dry fully on me. The only annoying thing I find with it is that as it dries the cranberries tend to fall off my face and make a bit of a mess. Apart from that, it’s completely fine, and tightens a little as it dries, like a typical clay mask.

I do find it a bit hard to rinse off easily/non-messily, so I like to put this on before I have a shower and then just wash it off in there, to avoid any mess.

Once removed, my skin is left feeling soft, hydrated, and a bit more glowy/radiant than normal, which I love. It doesn’t cause me any breakouts, and it leaves my skin balanced and happy. I love the results, and because it’s quite gentle I can use it at least twice a week (which is good, as the fresh face masks expire relatively quickly, so I don’t have to worry about wasting any).

Like all LUSH products it is a bit more pricey, but I love the results, and would definitely purchase again. If you have normal/slightly dry skin like mine, then I’d definitely recommend giving it a go. :)

Cranberry delight

I had been hanging out for this ever since it first came out, but every time I placed a lush order I saw those 3 words "out of stock" next to its name, so when the day came when It was in stock I could barely contain my girlie excitement, it just sounded so good and I love cranberries.

The 60g black pot has to be stored in the fridge since it's a fresh face mask. This pot can also be cleaned out and taken into a lush store along with 4 others to receive a free fresh face mask.

This is a pretty pink coloured face mask that is like a thick clay mask with the red chunks of cranberries throughout. I can smell the delicious smelling cranberries with a hint of a herbal, earthy scent it's not strong or off putting though.

This mask is quite firm and takes a bit of spreading to get it to stick to your face. This mask is perfect for summer and applying it after hot days is cooling and refreshing since it is stored in the fridge.

After I rinse it away my skin is left looking healthy and fresh looking. It also feels beautiful and soft, this is a lovely face mask for this time of the year.

Festive Lush Face mask

I saw a few fellow beauty enthusiasts talking about this mask and knew I had to pick it up and give it a whirl.

It was the last one in store when I went in so it is very popular. It comes in the standard small black lush pottle that you can return when you have 5 for a free face mask.

It is a light pink colour with a very clay like consistancy and chunks of cranberry though it.

It was a little difficult to apply evenly over the skin. It did have a very cooling and tightening effect.

Once washed off my face looked fresh and plump and moisterised.

the biggest downside is how quickly these expire- a good and a bad thing considering there are no nastys and only fresh great ingredients. This should be kept in the fridge also/

I would repurchase but i will wait until I have finished this one too see if I truely want this one again or to go for one of the standard, always available masks

Festive face treat

Here we go......another Lush limited edition and yes, you guessed it, it has become a favourite! I picked this up when I took my five empty containers back to Lush. I don't think I've ever actually paid for one of their fresh face masks. Frankly, I don't think they are very good value as you usually only have a couple of weeks to use them. They do last a week or so beyond that but I find even using them a couple of times a week, it is hard to get through them before the use by date.

I'm also not a big fan of clay based masks but this one is different. First of all, the smell! I love it! I can defiantly smell the tofu. It actually reminds me of a tofu and ginger dish I used to eat in Japan - I think it's the fennel that I can also pick up. It's a pale pink in colour with bits of cranberry in it. Like all of the Lush masks, it looks very natural and handmade.

I only leave it on for about five minutes as I don't like the tight, drying sensation of clay based masks. When this is rinsed off, it leaves my skin feeling really soft and moisturised. Unlike some Lush masks and moisturisers I've used, it feels like the moisture has sunk into my skin - a lot just feel like they are sitting on top. I have skipped moisturiser after using this but if I do pop some over top, I wake to lovely plump skin in the morning.

I would definitely pick this up again, if only it wasn't a limited edition. Come on Lush! It's not as if we can stockpile this one!

Tips: Get this limited edition whilst you can! Don't forget to save the tub to take back to Lush.

Yeah, I don't really get Lush's reasoning behind their limited editions. They always seem to be their most popular products which people end up stockpiling. I'm not keen on any of the shower gels in the permanent range but love all the LEs

I am always curious as to why they don't keep the more popular masks permanent and take away those that are not so, they would get more orders that way. I would have loved to try it as I love face masks.

They should do this one all year round especially as it's been so popular.

Didn't work for me.

This product unfortunately didn't work for me and i put it down to my skin being very sensitive and the face mask having too much fragrance in it. In saying that i have heard really great things about it so i do suggest trying it for yourself but if you have sensitive skin or eczema it probably isn't the best for you.

y lush make u seasonal!?

I had been eyeing up a Lush face mask for a long while, but none of them really caught my eye until this delectable little darling popped up in the limited edition Christmas collection, and the pink caught my eye immediately. I ummed and ahhed about the price and size for a while, but I knew that I wanted it, so I got it!

The little jar is 60g, and it seems like you get a lot less product. I actually scooped mine out of the container so I could weigh how much I got. I could fit it all on a tablespoon, but even after one use it was bang on 60g. So be wary that you do get little product, but so far I've gotten 3 masks out of it, and I gave away some and that was another 2-3 masks there. So it does go a long way. Thankfully!!

The color of mine isn't the same pink that's on the website - there's hints of it, but otherwise mine is a very grey pink, and there's also bits of cranberry throughout. There may be bits of other things but I think the bits of fresh cranberry are what gives it the pinkish color. I can't quite describe the smell either, it's a bit herbal, earthy, and it smells a little bit tangy as well.

I slather a small amount over my face and wait. The mask is very cooling thanks to being in the fridge, and something in it stings my face slightly but it disappears and the mask starts to dry. It's a clay based mask, which I love as they just seem to work on my face really well. I wash it off and my skin looks bright, clear and feels so soft. Best of all it doesn't irritate my cheeks and cause the redness to flare up! I would definitely repurchase this, it's one of the best masks I've tried from Lush!
