Here we go......another Lush limited edition and yes, you guessed it, it has become a favourite! I picked this up when I took my five empty containers back to Lush. I don't think I've ever actually paid for one of their fresh face masks. Frankly, I don't think they are very good value as you usually only have a couple of weeks to use them. They do last a week or so beyond that but I find even using them a couple of times a week, it is hard to get through them before the use by date.
I'm also not a big fan of clay based masks but this one is different. First of all, the smell! I love it! I can defiantly smell the tofu. It actually reminds me of a tofu and ginger dish I used to eat in Japan - I think it's the fennel that I can also pick up. It's a pale pink in colour with bits of cranberry in it. Like all of the Lush masks, it looks very natural and handmade.
I only leave it on for about five minutes as I don't like the tight, drying sensation of clay based masks. When this is rinsed off, it leaves my skin feeling really soft and moisturised. Unlike some Lush masks and moisturisers I've used, it feels like the moisture has sunk into my skin - a lot just feel like they are sitting on top. I have skipped moisturiser after using this but if I do pop some over top, I wake to lovely plump skin in the morning.
I would definitely pick this up again, if only it wasn't a limited edition. Come on Lush! It's not as if we can stockpile this one!
I was lucky to get this face mask as it was the last one in the shop. The texture was quite thick and smelt quite musky. The colour is a vibrant red. When I put it on my skin I found it a little difficult because of how thick it was. Once I took it off my skin felt amazing and soft. The smell stayed on my face all day aswell
Tips: Leave it in room temperature before applying to face
