I'm sorry to say, but this product is definitely not one of my top picks for Lush products. After reading the reviews and the description, I was very excited however it didn't meet my expectations, unfortunately (I still love lush in general though!). The smell does not make me think of chocolate. It has that fake 'chocolate' fragrance that all companies use when adding a 'choc' scent to toys, stationery etc. and I personally, am not a fan. It had a burning, stinging sensation on my face probably due to the fragrances/essential oils and also that my skin is on the sensitive side. After rinsing off, my face was very red and flushed.

Lush Cupcake Face Mask
Invented with teenage skin in mind
Cupcake is our one Fresh Face Mask that was created for a bit of fun. At the time, our inventor’s daughter was a young girl having slumber parties with her girlfriends every weekend, so he whipped up a chocolate mint mask for young, oily skin (officially solidifying him as the coolest dad ever). If you suffer from oily or spotty skin, slather it in this cocoa concoction. With spearmint oil to cool, vanilla absolute to calm redness and Rhassoul mud to deeply cleanse- Cupcake is a sweet savior for young faces. Smothering yourself in chocolate for clearer skin? Every teenage girl’s dream. .

Tips: Not for people with sensitive skin!
I'm usually a fan of lush masks, especially bb seaweed. However this mask just wasn't very enjoyable, and did nothing for my skin. The mask itself just sat uncomfortably on my face and did nothing for my skin. A bit of a let down.
I brought this product when my skin was super spotty. I used it once a week, like all masks should be used, and I found my skin feeling too tight (was far too drying) and I found my spots getting no better than when I started. Good thing, It smelt amazing and I always looked super funny wearing it around the house. Overall, I would not buy this again, as my skin was not happy with it, but it may be just what you are looking for.
I've been curious about this one for a long gime, so decided to give it a go. i've used it every week for ther last month or so, and really? it did nothing for me. Like any mud mask, it leaves the skin feeling smooth and clean, I liked that this one didn't dry me out, but it's really nothing to write home about. I like skinfood's rotorua mask beacause I can actually see the oil being absorbed from my pores, this didn't do anytbing drastic for me. It feels lovely, and it smells very nice, it's non drying, but I probably wouldn't bother to buy it again, especially as you're meant to keep it in the fridge- that's way to much admin for me!
Tips: give it a try if you're new to mud masks, but don't expect miracles for your pores.
I used this mask after hearing rave reviews about the lush face masks - boy was I wrong! I spent the next week in hiding as my skin had broken out in places it never breaks out in! Had massive pimples everywhere, would not recommend to ladies with sensitive skin!
The title says it all really! But let me tell you why I don't like it.
The mask comes in the usual small tub, and even though its 60g it goes a long way because it's quite thick. The mask is chocolate brown and looks like, well, cupcake mix! But it's a lot thicker than cupcake mix, and I find it quite hard to apply. I started putting a bit of water with it to mix it through, and then applying it, as well as applying it to a wet face.
Inside the mask is some gritty goodness, I'm not entirely sure what, maybe almonds? It smells like peppermint chocolate but the smell is about the only thing I like about it. The mask goes on and dries fine. I hate removing it, I don't know why but for some reason this mask from Lush is no beuno.
This also did nothing for my skin - it made it slightly softer but it did nothing for breakouts or anything. So I'm not impressed, and I won't be buying it again.
This face mask smells incredible!! It smells like chocolate!! I love how fresh the lush face masks are and the great ingredients they use. This face mask left my skin feeling smooth and soft, however a little bit dry. I know it's great for acne-prone, oily skin and as I have dry/combination skin I did expect this effect. However I had to try it because it smelt so good.
