Lush Father Christmas Before making this, Father Christmas must have stopped at a sweet shop for stocking fillers because it smells like freshly spun candy floss. Soak away the hours in sweet, mouthwatering waters as the blushing red of Santa's cheeks fizz away to reveal a vivid, holly green centre.

Surprises from Santa

I simply had to buy a few of these when I saw they had the same scent as Snow Fairy. You can smell it through the wrap as a heavy sweet scent.

The face of Santa is quite cute and the bomb itself is one of the larger ones with Santa's hat protruding off the side a bit. The pink-red exterior with white facial hair area features made me think this would be a red or pink bath... oh how wrong was I. As it fizzed away it revealed very quickly that Santa was hiding something bright and cheerful, a brilliant green like I have never seen.

It fizzed away for a very long time and the face seemed to take the longest to dissolve. There is no glitter or shimmer inside this one and it is a nice moisturizing bath bomb too

Tips: If you love Snow Fairy's sweet Raspberry/candyfloss scent then you will adore this cute festive Santa

Sweet Father Christmas

When I completed my Lush haul of Christmas goodies this one was far too cute to pass over. I love that it is a round ball with Santa's face on it. Super cute. It is a light red with his face in white.

As usual it comes with minimal packaging which is great. Although I find it weird that when you order online they come in plastic wrap rather than paper.

The initial scent you get from this is extremely sweet and sugary. For me not usually what I'm in to but I actually kind of adore it. This quite a big bath bomb so you can probably cut it in half and use one half at a time, but I find when I want to have a Lush bath I go big or go home and use the whole thing. Once in the bath the outer layer frothed away to reveal a bright green inside! The bath water changed to a nice Christmassy green shade. I was impressed that it didn't stain my bath at all which was great. This bath bomb frothed for a really long amount of time which was great; made for a relaxing experience. This left my skin feeling nice and soft and somewhat moisturised.

Even though this scent wasn't something I would usually go for I really enjoyed it and I will even consider repurchasing it if I find it on sale on Boxing Day (p.s. keep an eye out for the Lush Boxing Day sale, it is always fantastic).

Sweet Santa

This pale pink Santas head bath bomb is quite big, and looks like a Santa with white bits for the hair and beard etc the face is embossed into the bomb.

So I'm greedy all or nothing for me, when I first popped this in the water it had quite a dull fizz releasing a pink trail leaving my bath softly scented with some Xmas delight a sweet candy fragrance, not strong but soft and sweet.

Then my water started going a bright green I picked it up and yes it had fizzed down into a green, so I soaked in my soft green candy scented water and enjoyed just soaking in luxury.

Im left with soft skin smelling slightly like a lollie shop, you know the first whiff when you first walk in, I was left feeling soft skinned while being completely relaxed.

I've always loved Santa!

If it's not clear to you now, I love Lush. Sure, not everything works for me, but I can admit that and I can admit I don't have a problem. I don't! I purchased this thanks to member Pintsize, who said it smelled like Snow Fairy. I have a lust for anything that smells like Snow Fairy, so this leapt into the cart and I went on my merry way.

It was bigger than I was expecting! Santa's jolly fat noggin is a whopping 200g, one of the biggest bath bombs that Lush have to offer. His cute little face sits snugly in both of my hands and if he didn't make my lips taste like soap I would give him a smooch.

I cut the majority of my bath bombs in half, so I was surprised to see that the inside is bright green. I gleefully hid the other half away and away I went. Once the bath was filled I plopped his head in and watched it fizz away. The outer layer was very cute, white and pink, and then the green hit and it was just gorgeous. The whole bath turned the bright holly green, and it reminded me of jelly!

The smell is very, very much like Snow Fairy, and it's so delicious. I can still smell the scent on me a few hours after the bath, and that's a big yes for me. I also know that there is no lustre in this bath bomb, yet I could see specks of it, or perhaps my mind is playing tricks on me. I would have preferred more glitter though! Either way, this bath bomb is an absolute winner in my books!

the jolliest bath bomb

When the description of this read “sweet like a sweet shop” I instantly thought snow fairy, so into the cart it went.

This is a decent sized bath bomb that is a bit bigger than a tennis ball, its white and light pink colour with the face of the man himself embossed on the outside of the bath bomb. Through the cellophane wrapper I can smell the sweetly scented almost snow fairy scent. I pop it in the bath and I am surprised that inside the bath bomb has a green centre that turns the bath a bright green shade, I decided to have a wee whiff of the green centre and it reminded me of “the fizzbanger” bath bomb which is like a toffee apple scent, and one of my favourites. This doesn’t have any lustre or shimmer in it but it doesn’t need it, it’s perfect the way it is. I soak away in the bath taking in the sweet scent. It’s sweet but not sickly or overpowering just a perfect balance. I love how soft and moisturized my skin feels after I have finished my bath. The sweet scent lasts a few hours if I don’t moisturize straight after my bath.

I will be repurchasing this next Christmas, it’s such a fun bath bomb for all ages.

Lush Father Christmas Bath Bomb

I received this little goodie for Christmas one year from a fellow BR member. Thank you :) At that stage I hadn't tried any lush bath bombs so was super excited!

Father christmas is a huge bomb! White and pink and smells sweet like candy.

You simply place it in your running bath and watch it fizz away. I was surprised to see that the inside was green! yes you end up bathing in a green bath which my children found funny.

It was such a relaxing bath and this bomb left my skin feeling so silky and soft. I was told to break him in halve as to get two baths out of the one bomb.

I'm not a Lush addict and can't wait to treat myself to more products from there. Would highly recommend.

Jolly old surprise

This cute pink pale and white faced father Christmas bomb is the cutest!

On opening the plastic to get the bomb out I noticed he smelt really sweet, almost like snow fairy. Once in the bath he was still quite sweet but I thought minty to.

Maybe it wasn't minty at all and the green in the middle trucked my senses?

Once the bomb had fuzzed out and dissolved the bath water is a dark candy apple green, and very relaxing too soak in.

I hope they bring him back out over Christmas as I loved this bomb and would love to have him again

All the xmas colours!

I got this with my boxing day hauls. I didn't know what to expect so went in without knowing anything. I love bath bombs so that was the first part checked off the 'all the yes's list'.

Let's start with how adorable the bomb itself is. Cmon who wouldn't wanna squish santa's face looking that cute and jolly. After looking at it on the site I was rather thrown when it's more of a pink appearance rather than a red like the site showed.

It smells of snow fairy, Lush's christmas shower gel. It is very sweet and smells of a candy shop or fruit stick lollies if you know what they are. Although the Snow Fairy shower gel wasn't my cuppa tea and vegemite toast I actually quite liked the smell of this Father Christmas bomb. It was more subtle and not overpowering like the shower gel.

When I put it in the water, the magic of christmas was bubbling and developing before me. Inside his jolly little face was holly green and mixed with the pink/red of his face...oh what a christmas wonder to behold. The bathroom smelled of sweet shops, you could almost hear carolers hehe. No but seriously it was beautiful.

My skin after stepping out of the tub was very slimy feeling. It was a pleasant just moisturised feel. It was a filmy, slimy residue which I didn't love one bit. The smell stayed on my skin however and faded quick quickly after. I was highly disappointed after seeing a show when I first put it in to feeling like I was ripped off with the feeling and the faded smell. I don't think I will be buying this bomb again in the future.

Tips: mix it with another fave bomb to change it up

Christmas in June

Santa has been sitting waiting patiently in my Lush cupboard since the Boxing Day sales when I bought him in a gift box. I'm discovering that it's not actually a good idea to hoard Lush bath products. Bath bombs especially can lose their fizz and fragrance over time. So this guy's day had finally come!

Santa was looking a little pale and feeling a little crumbly when I rescued him from his plastic prison. The smell was still quite strong though. A candy smell without being sickly sweet (Snow Fairy is too full on for me) When he first hits the water he's red, then quickly reveals his Christmas green centre. This is a fast fizzer so I didn't have to wait long to get in to deep emerald waters.

The water also feels more dense and with a fair amount of slip. This left me with soft skin that I didn't feel the need to moisturise afterwards -love it when that happens! There was no messy bath to clean out either. There was a very faint sweet scent left on my skin but this faded fairly quickly.

I would use this again but Lush releases so many exciting products each Christmas that this daddy might have to wait at the back of the queue.

Tips: mid-winter Xmas will be coming up at Lush soon, so who knows who will make a guest appearance?
