The smell of this bath bomb is amazing, and dissolves quickly into the water.
I was slightly put off by the vibrant green colour though, it reminded me of the pinetarsol baths you had as a kid when you had chicken pox.
My skin felt soft and smooth after I buffed off the slimy feeling it left on my skin, I can't say this is one I'm interested in using again, compared to some of Lush's other christmas releases
I got this with my boxing day hauls. I didn't know what to expect so went in without knowing anything. I love bath bombs so that was the first part checked off the 'all the yes's list'.
Let's start with how adorable the bomb itself is. Cmon who wouldn't wanna squish santa's face looking that cute and jolly. After looking at it on the site I was rather thrown when it's more of a pink appearance rather than a red like the site showed.
It smells of snow fairy, Lush's christmas shower gel. It is very sweet and smells of a candy shop or fruit stick lollies if you know what they are. Although the Snow Fairy shower gel wasn't my cuppa tea and vegemite toast I actually quite liked the smell of this Father Christmas bomb. It was more subtle and not overpowering like the shower gel.
When I put it in the water, the magic of christmas was bubbling and developing before me. Inside his jolly little face was holly green and mixed with the pink/red of his face...oh what a christmas wonder to behold. The bathroom smelled of sweet shops, you could almost hear carolers hehe. No but seriously it was beautiful.
My skin after stepping out of the tub was very slimy feeling. It was a pleasant just moisturised feel. It was a filmy, slimy residue which I didn't love one bit. The smell stayed on my skin however and faded quick quickly after. I was highly disappointed after seeing a show when I first put it in to feeling like I was ripped off with the feeling and the faded smell. I don't think I will be buying this bomb again in the future.
Tips: mix it with another fave bomb to change it up
