My work mate got me these for Christmas. Sadly they crumbled before I even opened them and they can make a bit of a mess but they do what they say they should and they smell really nice. I have no issues with these other than if you are gifting them you need to handle with care haha

I oohed and aahed over this bubble set for ages when it came out at Christmas time. The rings looked like the size of little donuts and, after I stopped craving donuts, I got it in a gift set in the Lush sale.
When it arrived I was somewhat disappointed with how little the rings were, they were almost like the size of burger rings, but not as sticky and covered in way more glitter. The smell of them was a bit out there as well, it says vanilla but its not a nice vanilla I've smelled from Lush, it smells a bit artificial and bleh.
I used 1 ring for a bath and it turned the water a pale yellow with gold flecks, and the vanilla smell mellowed out somewhat. The bubbles from one ring was just enough for me, it wasn't out of this world but it was perfect. Paired with the right bath bomb it would be magical! I would probably repurchase this, just because I can get more than 5 baths out of it as I use it with other bubble bars and I'm not fond of bubbles in general ;-)
Ah, this was the product from Lush’s Christmas collection that I just had to try, but it was always sold up. I ended up doing an online order just for this when it came back into stock.
When this arrived, I won’t lie I was disappointed. Online, these product looks like 5 doughnuts, but in reality they were 5 flat rings that resembled chatter rings more than round doughnuts.. hmmm! I had high hopes for this product and my hopes were already dropping and fast.
This product comes on a string with the flat rings, and it is absolutely covered in gold glitter. I love glitter so you get no objections from me. However this product was meant to smell like vanilla, and all of Lush’s products tend to have a strong (delicious) smell to them, but I literally can’t smell anything with these rings.
I used one ring and just hold it under running water to create the bubbles. It quite a hard product and there is no way to really crumble it so it just had to hold it there and rub it a little to get the bubbles flowing which didn’t take long. It also turned my water yellow, instead of the golden colour I was expecting, and we all know that a yellow bath is not a good look! At least the golden flecks on glitter were nice in the bath, and the room did have slightly sweet smell but I wish it was stronger because I love vanilla.
Overall, these rings are a good buy because they last at least 5 baths, and give you bubbles as well as a touch of glitter. I do wish they smelt stronger, and turned my bath golden rather than pee yellow, but I will definitely be using the other 3 rings (yes I have already had two baths). Will I repurchase them? I am on the fence at the moment.
Hi my name is pintsize and I have an addiction to Lush! heehee I bought this a while back knowing nothing about it other than the selling points online... copious amounts of bubbles and a large amount of Gold somewhere mixed in. I also thought they looked like donuts and well I like donuts haha.
So armed with absolutely no clue at all I of course added them to my order. Once here they looked a lot smaller than I had imagined (still had donuts in my mind) but are still a very reasonable size considering the price too. The scent isn't very strong.. kind of like a vanilla shortbread biscuit (apologies to anyone who is now hungry after reading my review).
I broke one ring in half (this will be ample for a bath and as an overkill for my small set up), and it was very biscuit like and it took ages to dissolve in the water so I soaked it for a little bit them mashed it (probably all wrong but ooooh look at the bubbles), the water went bright golden yellow and I cringed as I thought this looks a tiny bit like potty training gone wrong but with bubbles galore and glitter... did I mention how much I love glitter?! The glitter isn't very clingy to my skin with only a tiny amount remaining there after toweling off but in the bath it looks like a glittery whirlpool.
The scent is very very muted vanilla and I found it almost impossible to detect anything other than a hint of sweetness... like smelling sugar.
Excellent value for money with around 10 baths in a pack (more or less depending on how much you use)
I couldn't wait to get my sticky little fingers on these rings. They looked so cute five golden coloured rings all strung together.
When they arrived I was surprised at how small the rings were. I don't know what I was expecting but they were only little, say if you made a circle using your thumb and index finger they would roughly be that size. They looked cute though in a rusty orange colour and dressed in lustre (fairy dust)
Upon opening the bag I am hit by a vanilla scent, I'm not sure why but I was actually expecting a musky scent (probably due to the colour of the rings) I crumble the rings under the running water and I'm surprised at how many bubbles form from such a small amount of bubble bar. The water turns errrr...... Yellow..... I'm not completely sold on the yellow coloured bath water.
The scent doesn't linger much though and I find doesn't leave any trace of the scent on my skin once I dry. And also like most of the other lush bubble bars it doesn't really leave my skin feeling lovely and soft and feel like I need to moisturise as soon as I hop out of the bath.
Overall though I wouldn't rush out to repurchase. It's ok but certainly not the best from Lush.
I bought this in the big boxing day sale on Lush website. Cmon I mean mention the word gold, a girl's gotta have it right? Well I did anyway. It's probably not the prettiest bath product that Lush had to offer but nonetheless I needed it in my life. Although in saying that anything xmas from Lush I 'need' in my life.
It was actually bigger than I thought it would be. I wasn't complaining, it means more value for money right! Now some people might scoff at the price of $12.50 for a novel bath product but when you are obsessed with Lush as much as I am then you will look past that. It is five big and rather rustic looking loops/rings on a thread. The rings themselves are coated in a gold like colour which give them bling bling factor. YES PLEASE!!
The smell is only slight vanillary! I love the Lush fair trade vanilla so this is right up my alley and beyond! It is sweet but sultry smelling if that makes sense. Upon crumbling it in the bath, it makes the water a crazy yellow/brown but looking past that.......GLIIIITTTTTEEERRR!! Glitter everywhere and the inviting vanilla scent filling my nostrils. Now you can choose to use one ring at a time to make them last but I wanted the full experience so used the whole thing.
The smell on my skin lasted only a lil while but I got compliments from my husband who kept sniffing me lol. Because I bought two, of course I let my little Lushee in the making try some. He loved it too and oh the sweet smell radiating off his skin was heavenly too. He just wanted the bubbles and glitter more than anything. Although he wasn't too thrilled to have glitter all over his face. Would I repurchase, hhhmmm for son maybe.
My lovely friend who also loves Lush bought these to use when she came to stay as she doesn't have a bath at home. She used one and then left the rest for me! I initially thought they were great value as you can just use one ring per bath. This did not create enough bubbles for me. I found that two, run through the little net I use (you could also use a sieve) created the preferred amount of bubbles for me. The vanilla scent was very faint and was overpowered by something else which I can't quite place my finger on.
These turn the water a rather disturbing yellow colour so the more bubbles the better to hide this! It also has gold lustre suspended in it. This didn't really stick to my skin but did stick to the bath but was easy to rinse away.
I didn't feel these moisturised my skin unlike bath bombs. In fact with all bubble bars, I feel the need to moisturise as soon as I get after the bath. The faint scent of this bubble bar did not linger on my skin at all.
I did enjoy my nice, long Sunday wallow in this but over all, I was a bit underwhelmed by it.
Lush has put a new spin on the five gold rings in the 12 days of christmas carol with their five mini bubble bars.
You could be super indugent and use all five rings at once, but for me this set is a really nice way of seperating my bubble bar into five baths instead of having to cut it into pieces myself.
The rings are gold with gold glitter that washes off fairly quickly when under the tap. The water then becomes "golden" as the bubble bar dissolves into the water. But it really looked more of an interesting shade of yellow. But other than the water that looked toxic it was lovely.
The bubbles are lovely as usual and have a light vanilla scent. I always recommend using spa jets if you have them to really boost the bubbles but agitating the water by hand works fine too.
