After talking about Lush and baths with some fellow beauty lovers I decided a rather fancied trying a lavender bath. So naturally I looked to see what Lush had to offer.
Lush's French Kiss Bubble Bar is lavender, rosemary and thyme scented. Personally I think a pure lavender bubble bar would have been even better but each to their own. For me the rosemary and thyme were just extra scents that muddled the relaxing aroma that comes with lavender.
To look at the bubble bar is purple and white with a sprig of lavender on it. It looks cute, romantic and I think would make a great gift.
In the bath, it makes the water a pale lavender colour and mostly smells of lavender but mixed in with a bit of rosemary and thyme which the later two remind me more of food smells. The bubbles were plentiful and as always I used spa bath jets to get the most out of the bubbles.
I bought this gorgeous bubble bar on line with other Lush products.
It looks really cute with purple and white swirls.
I crushed half of it into a hot bath each time.
It’s kind of doughy so it wasn’t easy to crumble – if that makes sense!!! The water was soft without being greasy and made my skin feel smooth and soft – very much like the other Lush bubble bars.
The scent? Kind of piney! not as strong as it could be, and didn’t really linger on my skin.
The ingredients are rosemary and lavender so the rosemary is most likely the piney scent that dominates.
I might buy it again, and might buy some to gift to my friends and family. It is $12.50, so it would probably need to be on special for me to repurchase.
I recommend it to others to try, but have to say, there are other, nicer bubble bars in the range, given the smell of rosemary isn’t really my personal favourite.
