I bought a small bottle of Lush "Honey I Washed the Kids" shower gel, as I wasn't too sure how sweet the scent was going to be, and after the sickly sweet scent experience of Lush's Snow Fairy Shower Gel, I was erring on the side of caution.
This shower gel is a beautiful golden toffee colour, and contains honey, rosehip oil, bergamot and sweet wild orange oils. Combined, these create a wonderfully scented shower gel that not only lathers up luxuriously, but also has natural antiseptic properties and helps to soothe and moisturise the skin. The scent is sweet without being too sickly; it smells a little like caramelized honey, and the orange oil seems to help cut the sweetness a little.
Only a little of the gel is needed on a shower pouf, as it lathers up really well, so the small bottle lasts quite a long time. If you're feeling adventurous, try using this shower gel as a shampoo, for sweetly honey-scented locks. I have very oily hair, and I found that using this as a shampoo didn't provide any lasting oil control, but if I mixed a little of the body wash with my shampoo, I ended up with the best of both; clean hair that smelled divine, too!
I'd definitely recommend Lush Honey I Washed the Kids shower gel to those who like sweet scented products, and I'll definitely be repurchasing it.
I brought this product from lush as I know it is one of the very popular products that lush has and so many people love it so I thought I would give it a go. I just got a small bottle of it to try out. It comes in the standard lush shower gel packaging. However when I used it in the shower, I found the smell to be too sweet and very intense to the point where I have only used the product a couple times because I really do not like the smell and I am usually a fan of honey! I wish I had liked it as so many people love it! I did find that it did lather up very well but I just could not stand the smell.
