I was a bit scared to trial this soap as its made with real honey and was worried it would make my skin feel sticky. It did the complete opposite, it made my skin feel clean and hydrated as well as making my skin smell really good. I love the funky name and highly recommend this product.

Lush Honey I Washed The Kids Shower Gel Review
Lush Honey I Washed The Kids Shower Gel Review
When your skin’s crying out for some TLC, Honey I Washed The Kids Shower Gel will come to the rescue. God bless Mother Nature for providing all the honey we pack into our luscious gel that nurtures as it washes. Honey is used for its many benefits for the skin. A natural antiseptic, it soothes and helps it retain moisture. We also add softening rosehip oil for good measure, while bergamot and sweet wild orange oils add brightness and lift the mood.

Lush is life first of all. I have to get that in there because it's true Lush has quickly become part of my daily routine. I have the soap Honey I Washed the Kids so of course it was only expected that I was to buy the Honey I Washed the Kids shower gel to go with it.
I am in love with the scent that Honey I Washed the Kids lets off. It smells of sweet honey and a hint of vanilla. It is beyond heaven to me. Honey is one of my fave scents in the wide world when it comes to body products.
The bottle it comes in is the normal Lush bottle design. It has the same writing and colour which is in keeping to its clean green image. I love the fact that you can reuse the bottles for other things. I use mine for my sons bath toys.
The shower gel itself is very thick and creamy like. Once it settles a bit it turns a milky white colour which at first made me think there was something wrong with the batch. Being so thick it means that I don't need much on my shower puff. It lathers up awesomely. The flubbles are great and thats when I know that I am clean.
Afterwards my body is cleansed and feeling great! The only and biggest problem is the smell! It doesn't smell like the soap. That is the scent I fell in love with and that is what I was expecting. I was horribly disappointed.
Tips: Get a sample first if you like me think it's the same as the soap and want to try it.
Has a really nice lather. I did feel that it made my skin feel softer (no need to moisturize!). I however did not like the smell. Too sweet and reminded me of sultanas of all things. This is one of the few Lush products I would recommend smelling before you purchase. Fragrance is the only reason I wouldn't repurchase this shower gel.
I have the 100g bottle and it had the settled particles in the bottom of the bottle (regular clear Lush bottle with black flip cap), it is hard to re-mix the product at first but as you use more and the air in the bottle is greater than the easier it is to mix. I was caught unaware by how runny this product is, it is not a gel as such, more of a shower liquid that will flow out quite freely if not careful. It doesn't lather as much as others in the range but it smells like sweet honey caramel (I almost want to smear it on popcorn... but NOPE).
The scent lingers on the skin well after use as well. It leaves the skin soft and hydrated but not oily and if you are prone to body breakouts I think this product would help balance the skin.
I am not planning on re-purchasing this but if it happened to come in a gift box purchase then I would use it happily.
Honey oh honey, I love honey. I think honey on toast is my ultimate comfort food and there is so much goodness in honey, what's not to love about it?
I bought a 100ml of this, this comes in the standard lush packaging a clear plastic bottle, with the black lush label and black flip top lid.
The consistency is rather thin so be careful when you squeeze it out. The colour is a very pale, almost see through brown.
I squeeze out a good dollop onto a shower puff and get lathering and yes this does lather quite well, I love lather and bubbles! This feels so good on my skin I feel clean yet moisturised. And the scent of sweet honey scent oh it's heaven. It doesn't leave my skin with that "squeaky clean" feeling either. No offence kiddos but I don't think I will be using it on you, this is mummy's only.
Afterwards my skin does feel baby bottom smooth and slightly moisturised. Will I repurchase? Yes definitely, I find myself reaching for this when I need a pick me up and when we have run out of bread, it really is my comforter.
This is one of my original favourite Lush scents, so the fact that it's available in a shower gel as well as a soap and a shampoo bar is SWEET (pun intended)
The Lush Honey I washed the Kids Shower Gel comes in various sizes, in the traditional Lush clear bottle with white graphic font on a black background The clear bottle lets you see the divinely toffee coloured gel.
The gel lathers into a creamy foam and isn't drying, stripping or harsh. it gently cleanses skin and washes away cleanly, leaving traces of the scent behind. The scent, by the way, is to die for. It's a honey-toffee-caramel hybrid that's warm and sweet and delicious.
Having this in a shower gel is more decadent than the soap, and (while I love the soap) I'd buy it this way over that, simply for ease of use and luxurious feelings in the shower.
Divine. Get this in your life <3
Tips: if you still need convincing, then pop into Lush and ask for a sample. They're always generous with these!
After trying the honey I washed the kids soap I just had to get my hands on the shower gel. I purchased the 250g bottle. It is a gorgeous caramel colour and smells devine like toffee caramel goodness. I want to bath in it.
The bottle needs a good shake before you use it as I find it seperates a bit. The gel is quite a runny consistency. I was a bit worried that I was going to have to use heaps but I started with a small amount on my shower puff and boy does it lather up well!
It leaves my body smelling amazing and my skin is left feeling clean and doesn't feel dry at all. The aroma lingers around for an hour or so.
I am happy I purchased the gel as I definitely prefer it to the soap. It is easier to travel with and more economical for me. As you need to use such a small amount I feel it will last for ages. Love it!
I brought this product from lush as I know it is one of the very popular products that lush has and so many people love it so I thought I would give it a go. I just got a small bottle of it to try out. It comes in the standard lush shower gel packaging. However when I used it in the shower, I found the smell to be too sweet and very intense to the point where I have only used the product a couple times because I really do not like the smell and I am usually a fan of honey! I wish I had liked it as so many people love it! I did find that it did lather up very well but I just could not stand the smell.
I bought a small bottle of Lush "Honey I Washed the Kids" shower gel, as I wasn't too sure how sweet the scent was going to be, and after the sickly sweet scent experience of Lush's Snow Fairy Shower Gel, I was erring on the side of caution.
This shower gel is a beautiful golden toffee colour, and contains honey, rosehip oil, bergamot and sweet wild orange oils. Combined, these create a wonderfully scented shower gel that not only lathers up luxuriously, but also has natural antiseptic properties and helps to soothe and moisturise the skin. The scent is sweet without being too sickly; it smells a little like caramelized honey, and the orange oil seems to help cut the sweetness a little.
Only a little of the gel is needed on a shower pouf, as it lathers up really well, so the small bottle lasts quite a long time. If you're feeling adventurous, try using this shower gel as a shampoo, for sweetly honey-scented locks. I have very oily hair, and I found that using this as a shampoo didn't provide any lasting oil control, but if I mixed a little of the body wash with my shampoo, I ended up with the best of both; clean hair that smelled divine, too!
I'd definitely recommend Lush Honey I Washed the Kids shower gel to those who like sweet scented products, and I'll definitely be repurchasing it.
Tips: Use sparingly ... A little goes a long way!
My very first introduction to Lush was the honey I washed the kids soap. One day I seen this and the sales lady said it would still be good for me. I was leaving the country to go on a cruise and she said its perfect as a shampoo and body wash. So off I went with a bottle.
The packaging is simple and typical lush. The liquid inside is thick enough that it doesn't run down the drain before you lather it up. I love the fragrance. It's stronger than the soap. On the cruise it would make the bathroom and cabin smell delicious which was perfection in hot humid climates.
It is ok for a shampoo. Did the job and I used to use it for a good year or so. It never reacted with my skin or scalp. It didn't dry out my skin as much as soaps do.
I don't buy much lush anymore (crazy I know!) As I'm exploring other brands. I do love this and I will use it again in the future for sure
