The lovely lush ladies said this will help my dry hands, nails and feet. I kept it at work to start with so I would remember to use it. I found it way to greasy. I was on computers all day and it made the keys all yuck. So I gave up using it there and brought home. I kept it next to the bed. I found I didn't mine the oily feel then.
Now it didn't make my hands or cuticles soft at all. I found when I was using it at work it made my face oily when holding the phone up to it and it would break me out.
I have recently found it again and tried again to love it and I just couldn't. So I've tipped the cream out.
I picked up this beauty when Lush was discounting stock after Christmas, and I'm so glad I did. It had never caught my eye before, but with a discount and a delicious lemon scent, I couldn't leave it behind. I will now be back to pay full price for this product.
This is an incredibly thick, buttery formula that melts into the skin. It is a butter/balm, not a cream. This makes it perfect for particularly dry areas as it absorbs well, but is thick enough to last. It is very nourishing and luxurious, and almost leaves you feeling like you have been at the spa. Application of this product is perfect after a shower, before bed, or in a moment of downtime, as it will leave you a little greasy. Like almost every Lush product, the scent is strong, but it is personally one of my favourites. If you want something without a scent, you will be better heading in the direction of the Trilogy Everything Balm.
A little goes a very long way with this product, however because Lush does have a shorter expiry on their products, I used this generously. I would use it around my fingertips and cuticles during the day, as an all over hand cream before bed, and on my shins where I get dry patches that show up when I fake tan. I actually found the shorter expiry a really good motivation to address my cuticles, as it is an area that I would often put off until 'tomorrow.'
I will be repurchasing this product next time I am near a Lush store. It suits my needs perfectly, as I would rather use an intensive product less often, than a basic moisturiser twice a day.
Tips: Don't be limited by the name 'cuticle butter.' This can be applied to any dry area - heels, knees, shins, elbows etc.
