Makes your lips feel nice and smooth by rubbing a small amount on your lips. You can eat the scrub after using it but it doesn't have the best taste to it. I love the bubble gum smell though just not the taste. It can get quite messy if you pick too much on your finger so best to use it over the bathroom basin. I probably won't purchase this again as you can easily make your own lip scrub with products in you kitchen pantry. However I would like to try the other flavours

My lips are chronically dry and by dry I mean they're flaky and no moisture lives there. I'm always using copious amounts of lip balm and only use moisturising lipsticks to add extra moisture to my lips.
The BR girls are constantly raving about Lush and their amazing range, so I thought why not... Jump on the band wagon. I got the strawberry lip scrub and my oh my...
The consistency is castor sugar with strawberry flavouring and I need to point out that I'm amazed this isnt for human consumption because when I use it I cant resist a lick of the lips. The flavour is delicious!!
The consistency is gritty when you apply it to your lips but not rough at all. I use tiny amount, probably as much as what my index finger can scoop out, and alittle goes a long way. I apply to my bottom and top lip and rub vigoriously for about 1 minute. Even though you rub vigoriously, the gritty consistency doesnt hurt and its not painful on the lips. Its just like exfoliating but only on your lips. You can actually see the skin of your being shed which is so cool :).
After rubbing for 1 minute, I leave it for about another minute so my lips can soak up the oils in the scrubs. After that I remove with a towel and wow wee baby soft lips await me! I immediately apply lipbalm after the scrub to hold in the moisture of the scrub.
I use the scrub about twice a week and my lips after so much more moistured and soft and my lipstick is looking amazing on these soft, kissable lips. I recommend this scrub to everyone looking to scrub away dead skin and flaky lips.
Tips: Everyone should use this, even if you dont have severe dry lips because the natural oils in the scrub will only enhance your already moisturised lips.
I was given this as a gift, bubblegum flavour and I love it! It is something I had never heard of before but also just what I needed! I get quite dry lips so as a scrub this removed the flaky skin and tastes/smells devine! I have told heaps of people about it. You can exfoliate your body and face, why not your lips too!?
Tips: Use any time! I like to scrub well, then lick it off (because you can and it tastes so good!) then apply a moisturising lip balm.
People are constantly complains about how lip scrubs are a waste of money when you can make it your self. To be frank, what working girl has time.
Not only do lush lip scrubs leave your lips soft and supple but they also smell and taste amazing ( I guess because it's 98% sugar.
I tend to use lips rubs before I wear a matte lipsticks.
This is also great when your lips are stained from vibrant or pigmented lipsticks as it'll remove the excess colour that has stained your pout.
Tips: Apply to wet lip. Always use a hydrating lip balm afterwards.
Try not to eat the entire pot.
I LOVE this lip scrub so so so much! My lips are always so dry and before using this I could hardly wear lipstick! It looked horrible with my dry lips.
I use this morning and night with my finger and wipe it off with a tissue. I am already on my second tub of this and will forever buy this until I find something better (which is unlikely) For the price of it I believe its a good buy the tub lasts me about 3 months and that's using it twice daily.
Tips: Don't scrub to hard!
I was constantly sick of having dry lips and could not wear lipstick as my lips look hideous and dry after I applied lipstick! A friend recommended this lip scrub to me and I am so glad she did! l LOVE this product, the smell (and taste) is amazing and I don't know how I survived without it! I scrub my lips 2-3 times a week before a morning shower and it works perfectly for me! Now I can wear lipsticks without my lips looking dry and gross!
Tips: If you can't wear lipstick due to constant dry lips give this a go right now!! Don't scrub to hard and a little goes a long way!
I received the cola lip scrub in a Christmas gift set which by the way all lush sets/products make such a great gift idea! It has a red colour to it like a soft lip gloss with caster sugar to create the exfoliating effect. So maybe I went a bit gung-ho with my first application as for a good 20 minutes after my lips were still sort of tingling! They were very smooth and soft though. I rubbed it around the whole of my lips in circular motions including around the outside of my lips to give the whole area a good scrub-and I washed it off with warm water- it tasted fine but I'm really not into eating face products regardless. I'd definitely include this in my skin care routine to smooth my lips especially as we are heading tino colder weather and I think the extra blood flow that is stimulated gives a little extra temporary volume to my lips too.
I think that this product is a good idea and it really softens my lips and I do love how it leave my lips feeling! I can never stop licking my lips because they feel so amazing afterwards but the taste is just so so sweet which is a major put off for me! (I have the pink bubblegum flavour). I am going to have to try other flavours as this one isn't my style although I love what this product does to my lips. It makes lipstick go on nicer and not so dry and cracked looking aswell!
I bought a tub of this in the flavour of Mint Julep in Lush's Boxing Day Sale. I'd heard so many good things about it I was dying to give it a go, and I'm glad I did, because it's rather lovely... or should that be Lushly?
It comes in a sturdy little glass pottle with a plastic top, and the product is packed in. I used my finger to dig into it (after cleansing my face at night, so presumably my fingers were clean, haha), and the scrub went all over my bathroom sink - not ideal, especially as it's not exactly a cheap product to buy, considering the amount you get for the price.
But enough of the negatives - this product smells delicious, all minty and sweet. Once on my finger I smoosh it backwards and forwards on my lips until they feel silky smooth, which takes 30 seconds, maybe less. And then I lick it off my lips and swallow the sweetness down. I don't know if this is ideal, but it's so yummy I can't stop myself. The morning after my lips still feel smooth, and primed for a bit of lippy.
So would I buy it again? On special, yes. Not on special, probably not. For me it's more of a luxury product - what I'm more likely to do is make my own vanilla sugar lip scrub and reuse the pot.
Tips: Be careful when you're scooping it out initially, maybe cup your hand or use a little spoon of some sort.
This is the first Lush product I have purchased and i'm glad I did! It comes it a cute little 25g pot and smells delicious!
I just rub a small amount of the scrub over my lips and lick off the leftovers, and my lips feel super soft afterwards. This is perfect for using before matte lip colours to make sure the colour doesnt set into dry spots. The fact that it tastes good is just a bonus!
It can get a bit messy if you use alot so I normally do it over the sink just in case.
