Lush Lip Scrub Review

I had read so many good reviews about this product so when I made my first visit to Lush earlier this year I had to buy it! At first I thought it was quite expensive but actually I've used this quite a few times and I've hardly used any, it will last a long time!

I like the little pot that it comes in, its cute but at the same time I find it a tad inconvenient when getting product out. Because there is plenty of product still at the top it spills over & is a bit messy.

It's easy to use, grab some scrub, rub and then either wipe off or lick off - I like the licking off part haha. It smells great and tastes great too, I was hesitant on "eating" it but it clearly states on the pot that its edible.

My lips feel great afterwards, the product is gentle and doesnt hurt at all. But for some reason my lips feel slightly sore the next morning every time I use it . Lip balm fixes that but I do wonder what causes it?!

I bought my little pot of this in the Boxing Day sale in 2014 and have barely made a dent it! As with all Lush products, this has an expiry date. Mine is well past that date now but still looks and tastes fine. You need so little of this stuff that I can't ever imagine running out of it and having to repurchase it.

I only use this occasionally as I don't really suffer from flaky lips. I tend it use it once a week or less as tend to forget I have it. I just rub a wee bit over my lips then rinse off then dry my lips. They still feel moisturised even after its rinsed off. I apply it over the sink as it is quite hard in the pot and the sugar tends to fall out when you apply. Apparently you can lick it off and it does taste delicious - like salted caramel.

This is great to use before long lasting or liquid lipsticks to create a smooth canvas. Use it after cleansing and before applying makeup though as the sugar can stick around your mouth if not rinsed off.

This stuff is grainy in a good way. It really gets the flakes off your lips and conditions them. It also smells quite lovely. I do find it a bit pricey considering you could mix sugar w/ lip balm or vaseline and make your own. Rosebud salve would work with sugar too. However, this does smell good and taste like bubblegum and I love bubblegum. So, I'd say this is a bit better. You only need a dab. a little goes a long way. This should last you a long time.

I have this lip scrub in the flavour Bubblegum. I purchased it over 6 months ago and it still hasn't run out. I generally use it every 1-2 days, so at $12.50 a pot it is great value for money!

I like to use it first thing in the morning before I have done anything to my face. I find in the morning is when my lips are at their driest and flakiest, so it is the perfect time to scrub them smooth. I like to use the scrub before anything else because the little bits of sugar can get everywhere. It can get annoying if you have stray sugar all over your face, so I wipe my face with a cloth after using it.

This product is really good at removing the dry bits of skin from my lips. The jojoba oil in the scrub also helps to keep my lips moisturised. It leaves a nice smooth base which is important when you want to apply a matte lipstick or liquid lip product afterwards. The Bubblegum flavour tastes amazing and I can't help to lick my lips clean as soon as I have applied it. If you've ever wanted to eat the Snow Fairy products that Lush makes, then buy this lip scrub because they use the Snow Fairy scent to make the Bubblegum scrub.

The Lush scrub isn't too oily or too crumbly like some other scrubs can be. It has the perfect consistency. As soon as the one I'm currently using runs out, I will be buying a new one. This scrub has becoming a part of my daily routine and I couldn't be without it!

Love this lip scrub. Leaves my lips feeling soft and smooth plus smells so yum. A must have item during the winter months

So glad I picked this up at Lush the other week, I've used it a few times and it's so fun to use. I love it that all you have to do is apply it to your lips, rub them together, and then lick it all off :) I have the mint flavour so it's refreshing.

I'm not sure they have the cola anymore, but if they do then I'll definitely want to try that one next.... The lady in the store said they only had mint, bubblegum, and popcorn.

Based on the mint one:

Pros: - Great taste - Lips feel soft immediately after use

Cons: - The sugar tends to go everywhere around my lips - It's difficult to get the product out with a dry finger so I wet it with some water first as I am a bit adverse to licking my finger and then using the product.

You don't need much of the product and it works really well for dry lips! Smells and tastes AMAZING! I've had the mint chocolate one as well as the bubble gum one and loved both.

This is one of the only Lush products I can use because my skin can't handle their soaps or bathbombs etc (my poor heart).

When looking at the lipscrubs I was more leaning towards the bubble gum because HOW GOOD DOES IT SMELL?!?!? However, after a lady asking what I was after, she told me that the pop corn one was the best for actually really exfoliating and smoothing on your lips!

This. Product. Is. Bomb.

You take out a little on your finger tips and then rub onto your lips. It's appealing from the moment you take the lid off because of the smell and it just gets better from there. If I have chapped or dry lips it takes away a majority of any dry skin and always leaves my lips feeling so much better. Once you're done you can then just lick off the rest of the product (yum) or rinse it off if the flavour isn't your thing.

The popcorn one tastes more like caramel than popcorn but whatever - it's delicious and works a treat!

I definitely want to try the rest but this product has become my savior as I have started wearing lipsticks more!
