Lush Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub Review

So this is a beautiful scrub. I actually like mine a little abrasive. However, I only use this once every month and another scrub once a week. This clears out my skin and I swear makes my pores look smaller. I follow up with a lovely rich moisturizer and my skin looks amazing. It smells wonderful.

I had read alot of mixed reviews about this product, but after watching the YouTube presentation of it and after hearing that it smells like a Margarita because of the vodka I just had to try it out.

When I opened it the first time I was blown away with how pretty the blue sea salt was. But I gave it a good mix because it is so much easier to use then.

I only use this once a week sometimes even every two weeks because it is that "hard core"! It gets all the dead skin of your face or body. Yes, it can feel abit rough and harsh on the skin, but add some water and do not rub so hard and you should be fine.

Another thing that I love was the moisturizing properties it has. One would never think that about a scrub/exfoliator , but this does leave you skin feeling fairly moisturized after using it. But saying that I do love adding my daily moisturizer after as an extra boost.

This scrub is freaking incredible. I picked it up in the lush boxing day sale and was a little nervous about it because I have sensitive skin.

Boy! I had nothing to worry about. It is an extremely coarse sea salt scrub so you will definitely get a little redness regardless of skin type but personally I had no reaction to it at all and it left my skin feeling like a dream.

I take a decent scoop and rub it on to dry skin - this is important as if your skin is wet it will dissolve the salt quite quickly and you won't get the full effectiveness of the scrub. It does an incredible job of getting rid of dead skin and as long as you gently apply it in circular motions and dont go too overboard then it isn't too harsh.

I think the avocado in this does wonders as it leaves your skin feeling soothed and moisturised which is exactly what you need after exfoliating!

This has become my number one scrub and I recommend you get into it too!

This is a really coarse scrub that works wonders on rough skin like hands, feet and elbows. I love the smell of it and the smooth feeling I get at the end of scrubbing. I use it on dry skin when I first jump in the shower. Make sure not to over scrub as it can leave your skin feeling a little raw. I only use this on certain parts of my face a couple times a month, it's great for clearing my pores.

I have been on a salty obsession for a while when one of the lovely ladies at Lush pointed me to the Ocean Salt scrub. I was using Rub rub rub but felt it was too weak for my salty fix, but the Ocean salt scrub was a match made in heaven for me!

This smells just like the sea with a citrus twist. I use this on my body every few days to remove the dead skin and on my face as a weekly treat. When I first purchased this I used it on my face every day and that was too much for my skin to handle. I have normal to combination skin and it made it more dry so I made it a once a week thing.

It removes all the dead skin and is great for when you shave your legs and underarms, it leaves my skin feeling like silk and I smell like I have been swimming in the ocean. My husband loves and uses this too, it stays on your skin for a few hours which is an added bonus.

The price is a big splurge, but if you can afford it you must try it, this is a really awesome product. This would be one of my top Lush products that I have tried.

I have so many good things to say about this scrub that I don't even know where to start!

Firstly, I adore LUSH and it's amazing approach to ethical products. They don't test on animals, they use ethically sourced ingredients, they make everything by hand...the list goes on. And on. I feel like by buying LUSH you're not only supporting a cosmetics company, but an organisation that fights for ethics in so many different areas.

The scrub itself comes in the awesome recyclable packaging typical of LUSH. When you open it up the scrub is thick and creamy, with sprinklings of coarser sea salt on top. It smells incredible - very fresh and tangy!

Some people might find this quite a coarse facial scrub, but as a body scrub it would be perfect. I personally use it on my face, however, and LOVE the incredible smoothness of my skin straight afterwards. SO nourishing and refreshing. I even let the boyfriend use some as well, and he loved it too!

This is seriously the best scrub you will ever try, and the best part? Its all natural! Lush is one of my favourite brands because they aren't really expensive and all of their products use natural ingredients! This scrub will not disappoint, I am on my third tub already!

I was given a massive sample size of this product when I went into Lush to look for a new exfoliate. At first I found it harsh as it seem rough on my skin. But afterwards I found my skin felt so soft, clean and smooth and also refreshed. I have found I just need to be a bit more gentle with the way I use it than I have with other products. Its not the nicest smell and taste pretty damn salty as you would expect but the results are worth that.

Anyone who knows me knows I love a great scrub. Be it for the body or face, I just love scrubs! This one product ticks both face and body boxes for me.

It comes in the typical Lush scrub pot which I find convenient and practical. The lid screws off easily when you have wet hands.

The actual scrub is packed full of sea salt and you can smell citrus. So, so refreshing. I used it wet on my face as I thought it may be a bit too harsh on dry skin. It left my face feeling silky smooth and really soft.

I tried it dry on my body and found it very effective in removing dead skin. It rinsed off really well and left my skin feeling awesome.

The pot is one of the ones where if you bring back 5 empty and clean ones back to Lush they will give you a free face mask. Such a wonderful company.

I love this scrub. Twice I have been sent samples that have lasted me more than 2 weeks, and that's because I only use it with my face wash.

The product is white (at least mine is) and has large and small chunks of salt in it. Not so large they're uncomfortable when you rub it on your face, but enough that it gives you a slight exfoliation before disappearing down the drain.

It doesn't really have a smell that I noticed, probably cos I mix with a face wash, but either way, it does smell fresh. It leaves my skin feeling awesome and for the most part I don't get any pimples. I also haven't noticed it drying my face out, something I have issues with. I really like this stuff and I'll be buying more (but maybe not at $42!)
