Lush Olive Branch Body Wash Review

If your body is beaten by the rigours of the rat race, accept an olive branch. The Olive Branch has a welcoming, Mediterranean warmth to it, with fairly traded olive oil to soften your skin, an infusion of vine leaves, mineralising sea salt and the fresh juice of mandarins. When you wash with this one, your mind will be whisked away to mandarin groves and sunny beaches.

Will repurchase again and again!

I originally received a 100ml bottle of this as a gift and loved it so much that I had to buy myself a big bottle which is still going strong! What I love most about this product is that it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry like a lot of other body washes do. Because this body wash has olive oil in it, it leaves my body feeling moisturised which I love. I also find that I do not need to put much of it on my loofa to get a decent lather, which is why my bottle has lasted me such a long time. Its definitely worth the money since I haven't had to buy a new body wash in such a long time. The design of the bottle is great as the body of the bottle is quite long and thin so its easy to hold onto, the small hole in the lid also makes it a breeze to dispense the perfect amount. This is definitely something that I will be repurchasing.

Leaves you skin super silky and smooth

This was one of the first Lush products I tried. At first I wasn't convinced as I found it was just like a normal body wash from the supermarket, but my mind was changed. I love how smooth and silky this body wash makes your skin feel afterwards. It feels very luxurious and hydrating.

This body wash has a separated layer sitting on top of it if you leave the bottle just sitting there. So before you use it make sure to shake it well so the two layers mix together. The body wash lathers easily, I did however use a loofah to apply it to my skin. It's very easy to spread all over your body and you defiantly feel clean and refreshed after using it. The bonus with this body wash is that it's very hydrating. I would definitely recommend this to those that have dry skin.

To me this didn't really smell like olives, but I was glad that it didn't because I personally don't like olives. The smell is very delicate and fresh, I quite like the smell. I can pick up the Mediterranean scents and to me it smells a bit earthy and reminds me of nature. This body wash has a gel based texture. The consistency is why you expect from a body wash, maybe slightly on the thinner side. The colour of the body wash is a deep orange brown.

The bottle is the typical Lush bottle, simple clear cylinder shaped bottle with a black click top lid. The one downside I find is that the plastic bottle is quite hard, so when you get down to the bottom quarter of the product you end up having to squeeze quite hard. I ended up just leaving my bottle upside down to get every last drop out. I also love the fact that you can save up your Lush containers and if you return five of them you get a free face mask.

I am not a fan of eating olives but I will happy put this on my skin any day. It is on the pricey side, but organic products are always more expensive. I would defiantly they repurchase this product.

Tips: shake well before using to mix the layers up.

I could totally be a Lannister

I was gifted a very generous amount of this by my lovely friend Shana. There was more than half at least in a 100ml bottle and I got a lot of uses out of it. I was intrigued by the color, it was orange and then a milky orange, but Shana assured me it was supposed to be like that, as she had asked the Lush team and they said it was normal.

I used it the next day in the shower and I was on the fence. It was very summer feeling, Game of Thrones smelling gel. As soon as I smelt it I was taken to Kings Landing, standing under a silk canopy, wearing a 'don't mess with me' dress, and I was staring out at the ocean in the hot air.

The gel is the color of a mandarin and the orange milky cream makes it look like some sort of rare gem, or just a mandarin with the white pith. It lathers amazingly, covering my whole body and keeping me in Kings Landing for just a bit longer. It rinses off like it should and doesn't dry out my skin - bonus!

I really liked this, surprisingly more than I thought I did. I would gladly repurchase this, maybe not in a big size but a little one for sure.

Soft and Subtle

I got the medium sized bottle as a gift and although it wasn't something I would have straight away picked for myself I really love this product.

The scent is a really subtle mandarin fruity smell which lingers on the skin nicely. Consistency is pretty runny but I pop it on my shower puff and it lathers up nicely and is a really soft and light product to use. The packaging is in the traditional lush clear bottles with the name and description on the front and the ingredients on the back. You could say the product is a little pricey but paying a little more for a great, sustainable, ethical product definitely pays off for me.

Tips: Shake up the bottle to mix the olive oil through properly.

This has really grown on me

This is a shower gel I've looked over quite a few times whilst browsing instore and online but I decided to get a small bottle one day just to give it a go.

This is in a clear squeeze bottle like every other lush gel. It has a black label which has all the ingredients and also a sticker with who made it and when it's best to use it by. This gel is a lot runnier than what I'm used to. It also needs to be shaked as it separates. IT doesn't look to amazing separated but when you shake it, it changes to a gorgeous apricot colour.

The scent of this is really refreshing. IT has a light citrus kick, it's different to the kind of citrus you usually smell in products. The mandarin has no sour note but it isn't sweet either. I think I can smell a hint of olive oil as well, it sounds weird but it meshes really well together. I usually go for the strong, sweet scents and at first just didn't think this did much for me. Now after using it for few weeks and almost using up my bottle, I'm in love. I'm not sure how long this lingers on the skin afterwards as I use perfume and lotion after. I have dry skin and this doesn't dry out my skin at all.

This lathers well, better than you'd expect from such a runny product. I do find I use a bit more than I intend it too, it's hard to control how much comes out as you don't need to sueeze the bottle at all.

I have about 20 lush shower gels at the moment, so I won't be repurchasing any time soon but I will; definitely in the future.

Subtle warmth of the Mediterranean

Over the boxing day period I picked this up in the all the best box because I wanted to try the main staple items that lush sells. Everything in this box was on my wish list. The Olive branch can be purchased all year long which makes it easier to repurchase when it runs out.

The bottle this gel comes in is plastic. Like all lush bottles have black and white labelling. Instructions are pretty straight forward. The texture of this gel is runny . The colour of it is like liquid amber . Looks beautiful in the bottle. The scent reminds me of a warm mediterranean walk through a orchard of mandarins and lemons. This scent is subtle and soft smooth but not tart or overly sweet . 'It's just right '.

When I apply this to my shower puff it foams up into a white foam. This scent lingers in my shower. It stays on my body for a short time. I like that it doesn't over power my body lotion after showering.

I got the 100 ml bottle , I'm on to my second month of using it and it's lasting me a really long time. I love this shower gel for days where I want to whind down after a long day.

After trying this my skin still had moisture in it. My skin felt smooth . I also used it in my hair and it felt luscious and soft. Price wise it's pretty fair and affordable. I would hapily pick this bottle up for repurchase.

Lush Olive Branch Body Wash

I gave this product a good few sniffs at the store on more than a few occasions before I took the plunge and purchased the 250ml bottle.

You have 3 purchase options for this body wash,100g,250g and 500g. They all come in a clear plastic bottle with the little black plastic flip lid for ease of use in your shower.

I love it when I am a bit dubious about a product, but when I use it I wonder what took me so long to make up my mind. This is one of those times.

I bought the 250ml bottle which will last an absolute age as when you use with a shower puff you need the smallest amount. Amazing value for money.

I pour the smallest amount onto my shower puff and start to wash. It lathers up beautifully and you feel so clean and refreshed. Your skin feels soft and supple. The fragrance is manadins which is so pleasent.

The whole bathroom smells amazing and you do to!

Tips: Take care pouring onto your shower puff, you dont need too much.

The best Lush body wash!

This body wash can also be used as a hair wash (points for multipurpose) and it smells delicious.

It smells like a warm candle, musky and citrusy. Its a hard scent to name, but it smells so damn good! My friend recommended it to me and i was bit skeptical as i don't like the smell of olive oil, but it smells so good! not like olive oil at all!

the scent lingers softly as well, a little goes a long way too.

Tips: - can be used on a sponge, hand, cloth, puff anything! - start off with a little, as it goes a long way!

Lovely!

Foams up nicely. Smells amazing - not too musky, not too citrus! It even got rid of the red bumps on my skin, so it must be quite calming as well.

Tips: Shake well before use!

Leaves you smelling amazing

I do love this body wash. It is pricey and more than I would normally fork out for such a trivial body care item, but the smell is divine and the scent definitely lingers on you after showering.

Tips: A little goes a long way
