This was a product I received from Lush as part of a gift set, and I had it for about 6 months before I used it. Mostly because I forgot I had it, but partly because I hadn’t actually heard much about this product and so I had no real desire to use it when I could use my range of other Lush goodies.
To sum it up, this bubble bar is super cute. It comes in a flat circle shape with a simple flower on top. My first one was pink, with a white flower, and it’s so simple but lovely at the same time. This is not one of the biggest bubble bars Lush sells, in fact, it’s probably one of the smaller ones but it is still another for at least two bubble baths.
This product smells amazing. I’m not good at sniffing out notes and things it smells fresh with a hit of citrus but also slightly masculine. I’m not sure if it just me that smells that, but this is a bubble bar that my partner actually likes the smell of (which is saying something).
The way I use this is by cutting it in half and then crumbling it under running water, and using half creates a whole heap of bubbles as well as making the water a pink tint (this tint will depend on the colour you choose).
Overall, I am super impressed with this product and it has quickly become a favourite of mine. If you like lush, make sure you try this product out.
This beautifully scent bubble bar has to be restocked the second I run out of them, as I use them on their own and also I pop one in when I am using a fizzy bath ballistic as well to really up the bath time fun!
Packaging, well this doesn't actually come in any packaging which is another love of Lush, that you use very little packaging and what they do use is 100% bio degradable and recyclable. You can purchase these from a container in store that stocks them loosely. Filling a simple paper bag that gets labelled upon purchase. This is probably the only downside of the product though, as good as it sounds to not have excess of packaging it does shorten it's lifespan incredibly so it must be used up within a few days if exposed to a wet, moist bathroom where the bar will become mushy if kept unused for too long in this environment. Or if you have an airtight container or display jar, or even storing outside of that environment, you can extend it's lifespan by just keeping it in a dry, warm location.
Formula, this bubble bar is made up of some heavenly scented compounds that have all been squished together into a round patty, with the cute daisy shaped popped on the top. These do come in a random array of colour options, which I guess is just down to what was being manufactured that day, as I have had this bubble bar where the bar is green and the daisy is pink, bar is blue and daisy is white and even pink bar and blue daisy. No matte what the colour being used the scent always seems to remain the same and so does the way the bar acts.
Pouring a warm bath, how I use this bar is in it's entirety, I have heard of people cutting it into half or quarters to make it stretch further, but call me greedy I tend to use a whole one at once to get maximum bubbles and scent. As the water runs I crumble it between my fingers under the stream of water where the lathering action begins and the water gets thicker with soap that then produces masses of bubbles, all creamy and heavy in appearance. The final scattering of the bar I sprinkle over the bubbles to give a confetti effect. The room is always heady with the wonderful aroma of bergamot a herb I love and a floral tone that is on the woody side so subtle but effect in its relaxation motives.
The whole experience is wonderful, if you are an avid bath lover then you can do no wrong by popping this bubble bar into your bathing routine.
