So I get the idea of a in shower body lotion. I used the nivea one, I liked the nivea one. This? Smells really nice. That's about it. A) I like practicality, and having to reach into a screw top jar and scoop out products while i'm in the shower just doesn't work for me. B) it made my skin feel like rubber. It was all weird and... honest;y? like rubber. You know the feeling you get on the inside of a swimming cap? like that. just.. Ick. I hated it. I couldn't get it off so I ended up scrubbing it all off with a loufer. it sisn;t feel moisurised at all. Just sat on my skin feeling heavy and strange. never again.

Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner Review
Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Ro knows good rose and her nose knows it! Use like a hair conditioner, simply shower as normal and then apply all over the body, rinse off and pat dry.
A beautiful, rose jam scented body conditioner that’s full of the most emollient, moisturisingingredients possible to feed and nourish the skin. There’s cypress oil, capuacu butter, Brazil nut oil, cocoa butter, shea butter and super softening almond oil, along with Argan oil of course, which is rich in vitamin E and incredibly moisturising and soothing on the skin. There’s also a touch of spring water to cool the skin down. The 20% glycerine locks in all this moisture, leaving your skin soft, smooth, supple and the fragrance leaves you delicately scented like a rose bush being kissed by the first rays of morning sun.
Reviews
I received a couple of these small 45g tubs in gift packs and when a friend couldn't use hers because it has almond oil in it to which she is allergic, I am not really an in-shower-moisturiser user to be fair and this product (even though it's Lush and I am apparently addicted to the brand) didn't change my mind.
It comes in the standard black Lush tubs which hold it safely without spillage or letting external environment in, it smells beautifully like roses and it it easy to apply. It is thick and creamy but I have different colour variations across all three tubs so I think it's kind of a light caramel colour but I am not 100% sure if that is the colour it is meant to be but it seems to work the same on all of them and they smell the same too (none are expired or close to either). I find I have to use lots to get a good coverage and therefore a small tub only lasts 4-5 applications... I am not a tall person and I think I may have been too heavy handed but even still maybe another application tops. I like how soft my skin feels afterwards, it's nice and hydrating and the scent is not too strong once rinsed off; but I find it awkward to use in the shower and also remembering to use it regularly doesn't happen... this seems to be my Sunday night treat instead.
I am using it up for the sake of using it, but I won't go out of my way to buy it. I rated it 2, 4 and 3, because it does work if you want to add it to your shower routine, but I can't recommend it to all my friends and for me it's not a justify-able spend for what it does.
I am looking forward to going in and swapping 5 empties for a free fresh mask
I've noticed that my skin has been quite dry lately. I've tried the Nivea body conditioner, which I liked, but it wasn't quite moisturising enough. I thought I'd give the Lush one a try.
The cost was a bit off-putting, but I took the plunge.
The scent is quite rose-y (which is, as advertised :)) I'm not a massive fan of rose, but it isn't the worst scent in the world.
It goes on very smoothly, and feels amazing! I've noticed a definite improvement, my skin is not as dry as it was. It also doesn't take a lot of product to get good results.
Would I buy this again? I'm a bit torn. While it works really well, the scent isn't really my type of thing.
I will say, if you're a fan of rose, this product is a great buy for you!
So I brought the lots of love gift set from lush and inside this box of 7 gorgeous goodies was Ro's Argan body conditioner I was so excited because I have read the great reviews And it was on my Wishlist to buy anyway. But I'm not really fussed I'm sorry just hear me out...
The conditioner itself is lovely thick creamy consistency and you want to just smother your whole body in this tan coloured cream.
The scent however is just way too extreme for my liking. It is very rose scented it was quite sickly rose I know a lot of people will love that but I'm more slightly scented gal not a full on rose/floral but I know each to their own and I know a lot of people that love the stronger rose scent will love it BUT if you are like me and don't like the extreme rose or floral scent it might pay to try something else.
So just like the Nivea in shower body conditioner (which I love) you wash yourself then apply the conditioner and wash off and pat dry. I find this quite waxy or oily when I wash this off and find it takes longer to absorb. However once dry my skin does feel amazing!! super super soft and very moisturised. And the rose scent lasts all day I did find it clash with my perfume. I really love how moisturising this is and how great my skin feels after using it just wish it was a slightly mutual scent
Tips: Try to sample or smell it before you buy it if you don't like strong scents
I do LOVE this product, just not for the use it is intended for, hence the reduced rating.
I have permanently dry skin, from head to toe. I think I was born with zero oils in my skin, so I was rather hopeful when I bought this product. However I used it religiously for the first week and noticed no difference whatsoever.
I was still having to moisturise after my shower, which defeats the purpose entirely. To me, it was just an extra unnecessary step. The Lush sales assistant said it can also be used as a hair treatment, but I already have a hair routine I'm happy with so haven't tried it for that.
The way I've made it work for me is by using it as an under arm shaving cream. I'm telling you, it's amazing! I used to constantly get irritated underarms after shaving but since I began using this 4months ago I have had zero irritation. Nada. Zilch.
I too, in the beginning, was not a fan of the scent, but as time goes on I really don't mind it. An added bonus is that I've still only used half the tub, so I definitely feel like I'm getting my monies worth!
Tips: I always pop some in a tester sized container to take with me when I'm traveling, super easy!
I bought the Elf's Workshop gift from Lush at Christmas and this was one of the incredible treats inside it.
It wasn't full sized, only 45 ml but it was still a lot. The first of two problems I have with it is that I used it up in two uses. So it's about 20ml per bath/shower which will amount to ten uses for a whole container.
I seriously do not know where the Rose Jam scent in this is, because I only smell the overpowering scent of brazil nut - which to be honest, I really love! I had a bath with this 5 hours ago and I can still smell the brazil nut as if I just applied it.
If you've used the Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion - this is exactly the same! Just a slightly thicker consistency, a bit messier because it's in a pot and not a bottle and it smells so much better.
This is exceptionally good for my dry skin, and if I use this I can go up to a week without applying any other cream/body lotion/body butter etc.
The second problem I have with this is that when you wash it off it doesn't really come off and you can feel a bit oily for a few minutes until it has absorbed fully into your skin. It doesn't come off on your towel, but it takes a while to absorb.
I would buy this purely because of the smell, but not for everyday use. I'd buy it as a treat, yes.
This is a great thick body moisturizer for use IN The shower. But I feel that it just leaves me feeling sticky. Also the scent is a bit sickining however I found a different use for it. I slather it on my dry feet then pop socks on and off to bed I go. I wake up to the SOFTEST feet in the world. Seriously. So while not a personal favourite for my body love this on my tootsies.
I love the idea of body conditioners - being able to moisturise while you wash? Amazing!
I picked up a smaller (45g size) Ro's Argan pottle when I had a Lush voucher and got myself a present pack, which had this and a Sultana of Soap in it.
Even in the smaller size, Ro's Argan comes in the classic black Lush screw top tub, which is recyclable and emblazoned with graphic white font and the Lush logo.
The product is a thick creamy beige-pink. It is very similar to Rose Jam shower gel in terms of scent - but I prefer this over Rose Jam for the simple reason that it's not as smokey.
When you use the product I find it slips away a little easier than I'd like - I actually prefer the consistency of the Nivea one. I find I can waste a bit of it when it falls off where I put it....
So saying, skin is left soft and hydrated after using this product, with a pleasant scent, and i wouldn't be at all opposed to receiving it as a gift (or buying it in this smaller size as part of a pack) but for me, personally, when i can get one I like for less than $10 i'd rather spend my Lush funds on something else.
Tips: Lush are epic for samples - just ask for one and they'll hook you up.
Once you've bought the black tub, (and emptied it,) wash it out and put it aside. Once you have five of these Lush actually swap you a free face mask for them!
im a big fan of the lush range, love this product i think it smells great looks great, i aint a fan of the texture of the context, it feels gross between fingers, but i do like product
I really did. I first received a sample of this from my darling Shana, and then I got a gift box with this also in it - a 45g tub. The smell is what drew me in, and I loved it, but that's where the love ends for me.
The color of this delightful smelling cream is like a pale grey, hinted with pink. It's quite thick but not as thick as say, their Celebrate lotion. The smell is so gorgeous, just like Rose Jam shower gel, but just a little bit different in a way I can't quite explain.
I showered as usual and then applied this to my skin, rinsed and got out. Yuck. I do not like the feeling this left. It was greasy but like I was covered in wax at the same time. Sure, I smelled good, but I didn't feel good. I jumped back into the shower and scrubbed it off and left it off. My skin was soft and moisturized after this fact, and I thought surely I was using it wrong somehow.
Much as I tried I just couldn't get this to work, and I hated it even more as just a normal body lotion (it worked better but I still didn't like it). I wouldn't buy Lush's body conditioners in general again because I hate the feeling on my skin!
