Just not a fan.

I'm not a fan of body conditioners that you leave on after a shower, they just don't seem to supply a lot of moisture/nourishment to my skin. The Snow Fairy scent is quite strong, to the point that some would find it sickly. I like the fact that it makes my bathroom smell nice after use!

In-shower moisturiser

Lush Snow Fairy Body Condition was one of the products in the Lush "Snow Fairy" box that I was given for Christmas.

Now, being a Lush "newbie", I had no idea what Snow Fairy Body Conditioner was. I assumed that it was a body butter or body lotion, but boy, was I wrong! Thankfully, I read the instructions on the label before I used it, as it needs to be used in-shower and then rinsed off.

After the sickly sweet experience of Snow Fairy Shower Gel, I wasn't expecting too much with this product, which was just as well. The Snow Fairy Body Conditioner has a consistency of a thick lotion, or a thin cream, and is pink in colour with a hint of shimmer on top. It's easy to spread and massage over the skin before rinsing off.

It did moisturise my skin a little, but as it's winter, I still felt the need to use a body butter afterwards, as my skin didn't feel as hydrated or moisturised as it would have if I'd used a body lotion or body butter.

Sadly, so far, my Lush experience has not really been a good one. I'm not blown away by their Snow Fairy products and they're not all that cheap either. I definitely won't be purchasing any more Snow Fairy Body Conditioner, I think I'll stick to using my usual body butter.

Tips: I ended up using this as a dual-purpose product. It works well as a shaving cream replacement and it moisturises at the same time.

Silvene

It smells similar to Snow Fairy Shower Gel, just a bit more subtle and not as sickly sweet. I quite liked the smell.

Snow fail?

Ah snow fairy how much I love your sweet candy scent! I have a rather big sweet tooth so anything that is sweet and strongly scented I has me.

This comes in the standard Lush black tub. I love these black tubs they are practical and stand out.

I unscrew the lid and that sweet scent hits me although it is not as strong as the shower gel. I has a small amount of glitter on the top of the body conditioner.

After I have finished washing I apply probably 2 tablespoons of this to my body and rub it in. I notice it does feel quite greasy on my skin and not at all nice almost like it is sitting on my skin. Once I rinse it off though it isn’t as greasy. Once I am finished rinsing it all off I pat dry my skin so I don’t wipe off all of the body conditioner.

Once I have finished patting my skin dry I notice my skin looks slightly moisturised but I feel like it is still sitting on my skin and did feel quite greasy still. I also feel like my skin still needs more moisture, probably because i have dry skin. I notice the snow fairy scent isn’t as strong when I’m all dried compared to the shower gel, but if you team the two together it is heavenly sweet and strong.

I am a huge fan of body conditioners as I am a huge sook and hate putting on cold moisturiser after a warm shower. I have tried many different brands over the years and this would be one of my least favourite brands- Sorry Lush because I really do love you.

Fabulous in-shower body lotion

This is a product I found at Lush that I never knew existed but now can’t live without. It’s a body lotion that you put on while still in the shower - who wants to put on lotion standing in the cold when you can do it in the warmth of the shower? You swipe it on, give it a quick all over rub then gently rinse off before turning the water off. The fragrance I got was Snow Fairy which I absolutely loved for the first month of use as the smell is sweet like a warm sugary cupcake and coupled with the heat of the shower envelopes you in it’s scent. After showering with this your body feels moisturised all over and the smell lingers on your clothes when you go to bed which is lovely. I can also smell it on my towel the next day as well. I’m definitely buying a body conditioner again however not in this scent as it becomes too overpowering after a few months but the product itself is fabulous.

Tips: Get the naked version which is in a solid format with nil packaging except for paper. You just dry it on a soap dish overnight.

Lush Snow Fairy Body Conditioner

I am really becoming a Lush fan, havent used a product that I havent loved and this is another one I can add to my list of Lush loves.

I do have a sweet tooth and maybe this is why I love the sweetness of the scent, so yummy.

This is a thicker than a lotion and maybe not as thick as a cream, very easy to apply to your body. It absorbs nicely and once washed off your skin is left feeling so soft and nourished and smells amazing. There is also a slight shimmer which gives your skin a lovely glow.

I use this once a week. I dont need to add extra moisturiser after my shower, this is enough to last the day.

Tips: Team this with the Snow Fairy shower gel for a divine sweet shower experience.

For Snow Fairy lovers only

Just so we are all clear before I get started, I'm not a fan of Snow Fairy. It's just way too bubblegum sickly sweet for me. The kind of scent a teenage girl (which I am clearly not) loves to spray herself in and knock the whole classroom out with (I am not alone in my profession wanting a global ban on Impulse and Linx). However, I do love Lush's body conditioners. So when I received a small pot of this in bumper Lush gift box, I thought I would approach it with an open mind and give it a chance. It is a wee bit more subtle than it's shower gel counterpart (i.e. Not really subtle in the true meaning of the word). I tried teaming this with both Rose Jam shower gel and Yummy Mummy (Snow Fairy's more sophisticated older sister) to tone it down a bit.

As far as body conditioners go, this is nice. Quite a thick lotion, candy pick in colour and with a bit of lustre on top when the pot is newly opened. Like other Lush body conditioners, it leaves your skin lightly moisturised but hydrated all day long (although my legs feel like they need an added layer in the height of summer). The scent did linger all day too as I kept getting whiffs of it and I could still smell it in the bathroom at the end of the day. So that makes it a no from me but Snow Fairy fans and teenage girls will adore this!

Adds luxury to my bath/shower experience!

I am a big fan of the Lush Snow Fairy fragrance so if you like Snow Fairy - you'll love this! The pottle comes in a black sturdy recycled plastic tub (the classic Lush packaging) with white writing. I love that this is vegan, cruelty-free and that the packaging is recycled and can be returned in the store to be recycled by Lush as I am all for beauty products being more friendly to the planet. You can get the conditioner in a range of sizes but I have the 225g size. The conditioner is a bright candy pink in colour (much brighter than is pictured here which I think is the old formula) and it has a more subtle version of the classic Snow Fairy shower gel scent so you won't get scent overload if you use this along with the Snow Fairy shower gel, which is something I like to do. The scent is a delicious sugary sweet scent that smells like a combo of vanilla, candy floss, bubblegum, and cherries. It's unique and you just can't get a fragrance that smells so good or so unique elsewhere. A small amount of the body conditioner goes a long way so a small tub can last quite a while, which is good as this is on the pricier side. This leaves my skin feeling softer and moisturised after coming out of the shower and is great as it means I can skip using body lotion more often. I have dry skin so it doesn't fully replace using body lotion but it definitely helps me out a lot! The fragrances also subtly lingers on the skin all day which I love, as I am a big fan of shower products that keep me smelling good all day long and not just while in the shower! I repurchase this every year at Christmas from Lush and recommend this to those who love Snow Fairy to add a bit of extra luxury to your bath or shower experience. I find using this leaves me feeling pampered, but it definitely isn't an essential item that I would repurchase regularly but it sure is a lovely treat!

Tips: This is a polarising scent - people tend to love it or hate it. I recommend smelling this in a Lush store first to see if you like the scent rather than risking buying it online off the bat!

a subtle version of the SF scent

If you, like me, have been a fan of the Snow Fairy scent in the past but now find it a little....much, then this will be right up your alley.

Lush Snow Fairy Body Conditioner comes in a pottle in varying sizes. It's an in-shower conditioner; I believe you can use it as a lotion as well but I find that it's really sticky if you do that.

The colour is a soft pink with a wee iridescent shimmer layer, and the scent is a softer, creamier version of the super sweet shower gel scent. It's still recognisable as Snow Fairy, but it's a little less candy floss and a little more wearable.

The effect of the in-shower conditioner is lovely. Whether it's better than the MUCH cheaper supermarket versions is debatable, but as this is LE and tends to come out for Xmas it's a nice little treat once or twice a year. I bought a small one then regretted only getting one, so picked up another couple in a FB group. I think I'll grab 2 - 3 at Xmas if it comes out again.

You smooth this onto your skin in the shower, after washing, and then rinse off. It leaves a non greasy residue, that absorbs to leave skin soft, hydrated and scented. Your towel will end up smelling like it as well, and your bathroom retains the scent too.

Tips: remember to keep the black pottles! Once you have 5 of these, you can swap them in-store for a fresh face mask.
