Remember when you were 5 and you had a big bottle of cheap bubble bath?
Well... this product is the opposite of cheap bubble bath! This is a product from Lush filled with organic ingredients, so don't let the pink colouring put you off too much.
I wouldn't spend this amount of money on a body gel but was lucky enough to try it at my sister's house. To be honest it didn't do anything for me. It was like a normal shower gel that smelled sweet. The thing I liked most about this product was that it gave me a flash back memory and had the word fairy in it.
Lush's environmentally friendly ingredients and packaging start this shower gel ahead of the rest. I also love the combination of handmade yet professional that is offered in all of Lush's products. The Snow Fairy shower gel is only offered during the Christmas period, sells out quickly and has a cult following among the Youtube and Blogger community. Everything about the Snow Fairy shower gel had to me sold in store - from the glitter to the sweet scent of icing on a cake. I thought that this was exactly what I wanted in a shower gel. Upon actually using it in my morning shower routine, I realised that waking up to the sickly sweet scent of bubblegum, vanilla and cotton candy isn't as appealing as it seemed in the store. During my second week of using the Snow Fairy shower gel, I felt like a kid who has overdosed on pink icing at a birthday party. Alas, I had the massive (for Lush sizes) 16.9 ounce bottle to get through.
If you do love the scent (and even if you think you do, I recommend the smaller size), the formula is nice. A little goes a long way, particularly if you use it with a loofah. The formula is a little jelly like, and clumps together a lot more than The Body Shop shower gel formula. The scent lingers on the skin, and chances are it will mix well with your vanilla based perfume. The glitter is a nice touch, although it isn't visible on the skin. And again, no store can beat the ethical qualities of Lush. Snow Fairy either entered my bathroom as my preferences were beginning to shift away from sweet vanilla, or it pushed me forward towards fruity and woody preferences.
Tips: If this is your first time purchasing, try the smaller size.
