For those that know me on here, they know how much of a Lush addict I am and love the majority of their products. Unfortunately this has to be the worst product I have used.
The one thing I like (and only thing I like) about this massage bar is the cute heart shape, super adorable and very romantic looking.
Scent - I really did not like this, I can't really put my finger on it, but it did not smell nice at all, maybe similar to expired chocolate mixed in with an old moisturiser that should have been thrown away a long time ago.
Using Soft Coeur - Its quite a small bar and I found it a tad hard to apply. Also I'm not sure if I was using it correctly but the chocolate went all over my skin and stained it, it felt horrible and smelt horrible and had to go and have a shower to wash it off.
This definitely does not put you in a romantic mood.
I got this in the Boxing Day Sale. I definitely like using massage bars in the evening sort of like a solid body oil or they're fantastic for massaging the girls. This cute heart shaped massage bar boasting a honey and chocolate scent and nourishing natural butters and goodness caught my eye and I had to try it. It is smaller than the other massage bars so I definitely wanted to wait till I could get it half off. I really glad I didn't pay full price for this bar. What I did like about this bar is that all the ingredients are natural and skin nourishing - cocoa and shea butter, honey, natural fragrance, almond oil, glycerine and sweet orange and bergamot oil. The heart shaped bar fits easily in my hand and glides over my skin as the butters and oil melt and moisturize my skin. However, this is where the praise of this little massage bar end. I think this would have been a much better massage bar if they left the cocoa powder out. It's one of the those ingredients that adding it was good in theory but a mess in application. The cocoa powder mixes with the melted butters and oils on application and leaves dirty looking, dark brown streaks on my body and a mess on my hands as I hold the bar and massage my skin. I have tanned skin naturally so if the streaks show up on my tanned skin then it definitely stands out more on lighter skin tones. I did try tasting those brown streaks because I wanted to see if maybe it's a romantic thing sort of like the streaky version of edible chocolate body paint, after all this is supposed to be a romantic massage bar. But this tastes horrible. I tried to rub in the cocoa streaks hoping it wouldn't stain my sheets but it just balled up on my skin. So other than looks and the idea of chocolate the cocoa powder doesn't serve a purpose in the creation of this massage bar. Maybe the bar I received had too much cocoa powder but that dark brown center took up more up about a quarter to a third of the already small bar. I did try to remedy it by carving out as much of the cocoa powder as I could but once I did the bar started breaking up understandably and I only got about five full body uses out of this massage bar. Not impressive considering for the size of this bar it's one of the more expensive massage bars. I'm glad I only paid half price for this because I pretty disappointed with this bar. This isn't the worst massage bar from Lush but it definitely didn't make it to my list of ones I'd recommend or repurchase.
Tips: If you did purchase this you can lessen the amount of cocoa powder on your skin by scooping out the center where it's mainly concentrated but the bar is more likely to break. If you really must have this massage bar I would recommend choosing one out in store as opposed to buying it online just because you can pick one with less cocoa powder in the center. But honestly I don't this bar is worth it there are other massage bars from Lush that you get more for the price and don't leave dirty marks on your skin or stain your sheets.
