I loved the idea of this massage bar. Like, really loved it. But expectations are hard to meet.
First of all, woah. The smell is overpowering. It was cloying and too intense for me once it was on my skin. Way too much fragrance.
The oozy middle was great, but it was a little too gooey. We had to stop the massage to get a towel because it was so runny and messy. It did add a nice twist to a relaxing massage though.
The oils did feel nice on my skin though and they were eventually well absorbed (once we scraped off a lot!). It felt nourishing and my skin was softer the next morning.
But the smell and the mess really turned me off.
I seen this at Lush and looked like a fun idea. I had used other ones of theirs as a rich moisturiser on my legs and thought if the husband doesn't like this for massages I'll use on my legs.
So it is a cute we heart shape and smells amazing, until you massage onto the body. Then it's way to over powering. It's a real honey chocolate scent at the same time. If you massage on after a shower your skin is warm so this melts easy. Or if you apply any other time it does take a few rubs to warm the product up.
Now the inside has the cocoa. When I brought this I didn't realise it would be as clumpy and messy. I brought it thinking it would help massage the husband's back after working on the farm after a hot shower. Well no this is really a product you need to use then shower afterwards.
I wouldn't use again as its just to messy for me
