I do love fruity scents and so I was able to get this for a little less than regular price when someone was having a Lush clearout. I do love berry scents and Lush so I thought it was worth trying out. This shower cream smells like blackcurrant and bergamot. The color is a pretty sparkly, pearlized berry fuscia shade. Actually the shade in the bottle would make a pretty eyeshadow or lipstick color and when it lathers up the lather is fuschia. This shower gel foams and lathers up well, if you use a shower poof you're only going to need a tiny bit and even a small bottle will last you a really long time. Now for the ingredients this is where the cons start for me the ingredients on the bottle I have are water, sodium laureth sulfate, blackberry and vanilla infusion, sodium cocoamphoacetate, stearic acid, lauryl betaine, propylene glycol, perfume, almond oil, lactic acid, titanium dioxide, bergamot oil, cassis absolute, cypress oil, limonene, linalool, snowflake lustre, titanium dioxide, colour 17200, colour 45410 and methylparaben. Now here's the list of ingredients from the website - Water (Aqua), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Propylene Glycol, Perfume, Almond Oil, Lactic Acid, Titanium Dioxide, Bergamot Oil, Cypress Oil, Limonene, Linalool, Snowflake Lustre, Titanium Dioxide, Colour 17200, Colour 45410, Methylparaben. The blackberry and vanilla infusion and cassis absolute are missing. So I don't know if they've reformulated the shower gel so the Comforter won't have any blackcurrant in it or it's just missing from the website. Another thing is that a very high percentage of this shower cream is SLS which dries out my skin and makes it blotchy and itchy after a shower. Already with lush shower gels, soaps, jellies etc. I have to cut back on them otherwise I have dry, itchy skin, this one I have to cut back even more. Because of that I won't be repurchasing this. It does smell nice but it dries out my skin.

Lush The Comforter Shower Cream Review
Lush The Comforter Shower Cream Review
A cuddle in a bottle
This berrylicious, reassuring shower cream brings to mind warm, familiar memories. The blend of sweet cassis absolute, uplifting bergamot and assuring cypress essential oils create a blackcurrant aroma. Lather up and you'll feel like you're being wrapped in a warm hug.

Tips: A little goes a long way with this shower cream especially if you use it on a shower puff.
I have NEEDED to have this in my collection of Lush for so long now. I got a sample from my Shazatron lovely a while back and loved it so had to get a big one. I have the 500g bottle which is all I ever really buy when buying shower washes. It just makes more sense to me to go big or go home.
I had only ever tried one shower cream before this so was interested to see if it would change my mind on how much I dislike them. It comes in the familiar bottle with the snap shut lid. I do dislike the lids quite alot because they tend to be hard to open and my nails are not fans of them for that reason! I love that the bottle is 100% recycled plastic, in sticking with my friendly environment products love.
The shower cream itself is a bright fuchsia colour and so give my heart warm fuzzies. It has a shimmer throughout too which satisfies my girly side....bring it on. Upon taking deep sniffs I am transported back to my childhood when all I can think of is that magic pink medicine that tasted of berries and lollies. The Comforter reminds me so much of that and it aptly named The Comforter because it did just that for me.
The cream is a bit too thin for liking and tends to dribble out of my scubby a bit too quickly so it's all hands on deck to make sure I don't waste any down the plug. It doesn't lather as much as I would like but it is still very pleasant to scrub on to my skin. One thing that annoys me above all that is the fact that it stains my loofah and my shower floor unless I scrub it off afterwards. In summary I do love this shower wash but not the thin consistency or the staining. I think I can look past that though.....the jury is still out.
Tips: Wash and scrub loofah and floor to avoid staining.
The smell is AMAZING! I wish it would last longer than only in the shower, I spend my spare time smelling it from the bottle it's that beautiful. It is very bubbly and a beautiful colour, and it doesn't fail to make me feel clean. It leaves my skin feeling very soft and supple.
I would definitely buy it again! It would be awesome if there was a comforter moisturiser, or perfume, so the smell lasts longer.
Tips: Use a cloth or a shower puff to induce a bubbly lather.
This bottle of very berry snug shower cream is packaged as a typical Lush shower item. Popping the lid open & the fragrance tingles your senses. It's as the stickers says a comforing berry snug hug. The downfall for me is that it's a cream & doesn't foam up so from using this I did enjoy it the scent the feel & the over all use. It let me down by being a cream though. What I did enjoy doing was using it as a hand soap & also layering it with the comforter body lotion left me berry happy.
My daughter gifted me a bottle of this for mothers day. I wouldnt have bought it myself, lush is very expensive.
It smells very sweet but its surprisingly refreshing rather than over the top sickly. The pink coloring is pretty too but it verges on staining my skin. It is also very runny so it makes sense it is called a cream and not a gel.
It lathers best with a loofah and i thought the scent was stuck to my skin for a good amount of time after. It did make my skin feel a bit squeaky though.
I was super excited when i heard that they turned the comforter bubble bar into a shower cream. I have been using it for a week and it's great. It keeps my skin slighty mosterised and makes it smell amazing. It lathers really well too. The scent to me is like a really sweet blackcurrant. The colour is a awesome hot purple/pinky colour.
Tips: At $23.90 for 250ml it's a bit pricey Also I find that it doesn't last long, probably because it's a cream not gel so you need more
This is SUCH a lovely shower cream which creates a gorgeous in-shower experience all round. Since it is a shower cream the consistency and colour of this product is quite thick - more like a lotion than a typical body wash. But it lathers up really nicely nonetheless, and is very soothing and moisturising on the skin. The scent is very strong, but if you like sweet and girly scents then this is the one for you! Like candy/candyfloss/bubblegum in a bottle, although perhaps more herbal than Lush's other sweet scents like Snow Fairy. Overall really lovely, and definitely lives up to its name!
Sweet blackcurrant, in a soft yet rich creamy liquid. This little gem of 100ml was in a gift pack I (cough) bought for myself, it was not something I had heard of prior but I had tried the bubble bar and soon I was hooked on this gorgeous shower cream. I have since purchased more as soon as it was released as an individual item... and I want to buy more next order too.
It is sweet but not as sweet as say snow fairy but it has a strong black current scent that is instantly enveloping. It does exactly what is says... it comforts! remember when you were little and had classes of Ribena, it was refreshing and sweet and wholesome... this is Ribena in a shower cream :)
It lathers well and doesn't over dry the skin leaving it feeling soft but not at all greasy (just like a regular shower gel but more liquid)
The purple/pink hue is of course an added bonus given that I love purple and pink, but the contents do separate in the container after a short while but easily mix when shaken for a bit.
I have been using The Comforter bubble bar in what feels like forever as it never fails to perk me up with masses of bubbles and that wonderful relaxing and soothing aroma so whilst browsing the city I stumbled into Lush and found it in shower cream format, I admit I purchased 2 of these bottles whilst I was there, my shower time just got heaps better.
Packaged in the Lush way, you know clear plastic bottle and understated labels just focusing on the goodness inside, this bottle allows the creamy formula to trickle through at a moderate pace without taking out too much, I just go straight onto a bath/shower lily/pouffe and lather it up into a mass of tiny bubbles, the fragrance is there in full power and it lingers on you for a good time afterwards which is what I loved about the bubble bar.
The ultra shocking pink formula is soft and opaque, quick to lather and doesn't stain the bottom of the shower cubicle, it has happened in the past with another item not from Lush I must add.
The only downside is I no longer can find the bubble bar so assume this cream has replaced it, oh well I can always squeeze a little of this under the running taps of a bath for the same experience I guess so there is no real loss.
I think this is totally over hyped. It may be an animal cruelty free product that also smells nice however, smell doesn’t stick to skin. Product doesn’t last long and there are no benefits to body after using this product
