I'm very familiar with my Japanese scents, and Yuzu is actually more of a tart, grapefruity kind of scent/flavour than an orange one, so I was excepting something a bit crisper than the (admittedly pleasantly rounded) citrus in this. It's a warm, rich scent that doesnt' really evoke yuzu or cocoa in particular but more of a chocolate and orange cake-type smell. It's lovely - just not what i was expecting when I was promised yuzu!
Lush are going to town with the bright colours at the moment, and this is no different, being a radioactive bright yellow. It's not my scene, colourwise, but does quite suit the product scent. Characteristic of the recent batches of Lush Shower Creams, it's thicker and creamier - prior batches have been liquid-y and harder to use.
The packaging is the standard Lush bottle with graphic black and white font on a clear bottle. These are clearly labelled with ingredients, expiration dates etc, which is always a plus.
This isn't a lathering 'wash', more of a cleansing, nourishing cream. It leaves skin feeling lovely, lightly scented, and smooth.
So, why the 3/5 for 'Would I use it again'? The bright yellow, the pleasant but unremarkable scent, and the fact that Lush simply do others I prefer. I'd use this again, happily. Would I actively choose it? Maybe not.
A typically packaged lush item. The scent is refreshing not sweet but definitely citrus infused cocoa. The thick cream disperses out of bottle easily it's kind of a shame it doesn't foam up none the less it feels creamy & leaves a beautiful scent to my skin aswell as invigorating my senses. Which leaves me totally satisfied with having washed myself with the cream. I don't think it's bad nor do I love it but I am glad I tried it & I would repurchase.
