For the cost I expected this to glide on and remove make up beautifully... unfortunately not the case. I found it thicker than previous oils I have used and harder to spread. Perhaps I'm so used to micellar water that's why me and this product just didn't 'gel'!

Tips: Save your money!!!!
I've tried four oil cleansers, and this one's pretty good, but not the best. I would rate the ZA and Body shop ones above this, personally. I picked up a travel size of this months ago and it's lived in my travel bag ever since. I travel a lot and so this has easily had lots of use in multiple locations.
The packaging is simple, sexy, and effective. The travel size is a green tinged bottle with a pump that simply clicks to the side to lock - and has never leaked on the rest of my toiletries, woohoo!.
The oil is the typical slightly yellowish shade, and a thin consistency - perhaps slightly thicker than the ZA, more like the Body Shop one. You smooth this on to your face and massage it in to melt off makeup and other impurities. This does a fantastic job of taking off all but the heaviest eye makeup, and rinses away cleanly, leaving only a slight residue, which wipes off when you dry your face.
I'm a big fan of oil cleansing and this one does live up to expectations, it's just expensive. The others I mentioned are just as good for much cheaper. So saying, I would buy this again in the travek size, which was maybe $20, just because it's convenient, it travels well, and I know it's going to work.
If you're a MAC fan and don't mind the price tag, I dare say you'll like it too :)
Tips: start with the travel size to see if you like it
I love the MAC Cleanse Off Oil, it is unbelievably fantastic to take off makeup. I'm in love with this, the travel size is perfect for travelling in the plane. There are lots of great ingredients like the primrose oil. It makes my skin feel lovely and clean, while being refreshing. If you are looking for a more affordable option, ZA Cleansing Oil works really well.
I am a huge fan of oil cleansers, and could rave about them until the cows come home. I brought the MAC one, just because i wanted to try a higher end oil cleanser, and I was doing a MAC order anyway, so I thought why not!
This oil cleanser comes in a tall, slender bottle, with a pump dispenser. The bottle in plastic and see through, and you can see the how much product is left which i love. The bottle is also really sturdy and sits easily anywhere and everywhere. My favourite thing about the design is the fact you can lock the pump feature which means its easy to take this travelling, and this is a feature not many oil cleansers have (even though the need to have it).
This oil is good. Its a slightly yellow colour in the bottle, but once you pump it out is looks transparent. Its quite light and runny, which i like! It has a slight sweet smell to it, with a hint of fruitiness. It actually reminds me of something but I can't place my finger on it.
I use about 2 pumps of this, massage it between my hands and then massage it all over my face and the makeup literally melts off my face, even more stubborn makeup like mascara. I also find when i get this in my eyes (it happens), it doesn't sting or hurt at all which is always good.
This product removes makeup easily, and leaves my skin feeling clean, smooth and soft. The downside to this product is the price, but i do think it beats out my ZA Cleanser.
I will repurchase this when i have the money, but the finances are a little tight at the moment so i won't be able to repurchase it for awhile.
I had recently done quite a large MAC haul through their website but I had to split them up into two orders as there is a limit on how much you can spend overseas and I didn't want to get stung with a huge customs bill.
I was only going to order one sized to go cleanse off oil (I like to try smaller sizes before I comit to the full sized products) but something told me I needed to buy two, and I'm so glad I did.
The first time I used it I instantly fell in love. I had to use roughly 4 pumps to get enough product (with the sized to go oil less product comes out which is why I needed a few pumps), I massaged it into my hands and applied it all over my face. As soon as I applied it, I noticed my makeup basically just melting away. I could instantly see my bare skin. It broke down my makeup so easily. I was completely blown away.
It felt so light on my skin, the more I massaged it in, the more it felt like a relaxing facial massage oil. It didn't feel oily even though it is an oil cleanser.
It removed my face makeup with ease and it even removed my eye makeup aswell. With my Za oil cleanser I struggle to remove my mascara and end up having to thoroughly masssge my lashes to help remove my mascara but I didn't have that problem with this oil cleanser. I simply wet my fingers and ran my fingers over my lashes a couple of times and the bulk of it was removed just like that.
It's so easy to wipe off the oil once you've finished. You can either get a a warm (or cold) flannel and simply wipe it away.
My skin feels so refreshed afterwards, it doesn't have that squeaky clean feeling which is great because I'm not a fan of that squeaky clean feeling at all.
I find that no matter which form of makeup remover I use, I still use my skinfood cleans all afterwards just to ensure that my skin is clean. Even though with this cleansing oil it breaks away and removes my makeup completely, I will still follow up with a cream cleanser. And that's what removes the excess eye makeup.
I haven't noticed any new breakouts or any other problems with my skin since using this oil so it's definitely something I'll repurchase.
There is a subtle scent to it which smells quite lovely though I can't quite put my finger on it.
I have already added the full size version to my cart so it looks like anoter MAC order wont be too far away.
This was given to me as a gift and probably isn't something I would buy myself due to the price.
However in saying that, I have loved using it! You only need one or two squirts and that covers your whole face. I just use my hands to spread it all over and all over my eyes.
You then need to use another product, tissues, babywipes or water to wash off the oil. It takes off every single bit of your makeup completely, even all eye makeup!
If you can afford would recommend
Tips: Only tip is that its important to wash the oil off properly after otherwise it just sits there and you wake up in the morning with the oil still sitting on your face. For me not so bad as I have dry skin!
I recently did a order through Nordstrom using my YouShop account. I chose to order some MAC products through Nordstrom as I wanted some other beauty products at the same time. It is a great place to order from if they have the MAC products you want as you get the same cheap US prices but you can get other products at the same time (eg Charlotte Tilbury). I picked up the smaller travel size of this to start with as I like to try out skincare before buying full sizes where I can.
The packaging of this is lovely. I like that the bottom half is clear so that you can see how much product is left. The pump is very practical. It is matte black. I like that you can move the lid to the side to lock it so that when travelling extra product doesn't come out. The pump doesn't dispense very much product, but this is a very good thing as you don't need much product as you would think.
The oil itself is clear, it has a very pleasant scent like Lavender and herbally. I really like the scent. You only need a tiny amount to rub all into your skin and it just disintegrates your makeup. I then add a wee bit of water and rub it into my skin, it continues to just make your makeup including waterproof mascara disappear. Once you rinse this off it all disappears and doesn't even leave a residue like my other oil cleanser does. Impressed. I haven't had any problems with this breaking my skin out at all. Also as it is an oil it doesn't strip your skin at all so leaves my skin feeling really nice and moisturised.
I have quite a few cleansers on the go at the moment but this is definitely on the repurchase list! The only reason I wouldn't recommend this to a friend would be the price and availability. I would recommend getting the smaller size first to anyone that has sensitive skin.
First thing is first, I have a deep love for cleansing oils! So I didn't think twice about trying MAC's Cleanse Off Oil, and I'm glad I did.
Now I am always after packaging that is simple, effective and easy to use & access. The MAC Cleanse Off Oil is in a pump bottle, giving you the enough product just with a pump or two. Once you have pumped enough product, you can twist the lid to lock it so it doesn't spill or leak.
Now, the part you are probably all waiting for.... How is the product? Well, I loved it. It's a must have! I prefer oils like I said earlier, it looks and feels more like a thick water, once you add to water it turns white and becomes more of an oily texture. The best thing is it removes everything, just picks up all the makeup and cleanse it off. I always wash with a cloth to get everything out of all the little areas of your face, best thing is it removes your heavy eye makeup. I also found there is no excess oil after.
I was introduced this by a fellow BR lady at a meet and greet. We were swatching MAC products in our hands, she put a bit of this oil on and wala! Off it came easy peezy!
I wanted to buy it then and there. It was priced out of my budget. I recently did a online order and found this was heaps cheaper. Into my cart and into the country it came to live.
Anyway, the bottle is simple. Nice lid, the squirted top lets out a small amount. I normally use a couple of pumps. I put it directly on my face, massage all over. It's weird, it goes kind of white. Not what you would expect a oil to do I mean. You see the makeup lifting up. Even the hard to remove makeup comes off easy. I have washed off the oil with just water. With toilet paper. With those fabric wipes and just normal facecloths.
It leaves your face feeling nice. To me it's like it's moisturising my skin as well. I even use this if I haven't worn makeup.
I can use this daily even with sensitive skin. It doesn't dry my skin out at all. I really do enjoy using this.
Hmmm I just read the "description" and totally have to agree 100% with what it aims to do. I feel as the bottle is a decent size and you only need a teeny wee bit, it will last for ages!
Tips: If your budget is tight, do a MAC order online. It's so much cheaper.
I was wondering what I would use once my ZA oil cleanser had run out, and now I know.
I have not bought any of MAC skincare products, I do enjoy their make up so it was probably a natural progression that I try some products in their skin care range.
I have struggled in the past to gey waterproof mascara off [with the exception of ZA] and I feel that is a true test of a great make up remover.
I put some oil cleanser on a cotton pad and gently swipe across my eyes and off comes all the make up I have worn all day. It is really that simple! I use it on the rest of my face, just easy. It is really effective, removes every trace of make up every time. My skin feels soft and clean after every use.
It comes in a 150ml clear plastic bottle with a pump applicator which is so easy to use. I will purchase this again.
Tips: This comes in a smaller size, so it may be useful to buy this first to see if it suits you
