I was lucky enough to be selected for the trial team for this product and excited to give it a go. The design is lightweight and easy to use and charge. I have only used the product on one leg (thigh and calf) so that I could see any discernable difference during the trial. When I first used it I did find it quite tricky to use as I had massaged lotion into my skin as required for the process and my hands were still slippery trying to grip and manoevre the handpiece, noted for future use to dry hands well before beginning.
The process is easy to follow, 3-5 minutes on each area, I did this for 5 days and then rested for 2 days.
To date, I have used the sculptor for two weeks and at this stage have not noticed any difference in the texture and appearance of the leg which has received treatment and the one which has not. However, it has only been two weeks, so I am certainly going to continue using the sculptor. The dimpling of my skin is no worse, so with continued treatment (and more intense treatment) I am hoping there will be a noticeable change over time.
Thank you Beauty Review for the opportunity to trial the Manicare firming body sculptor. I found the design very user friendly. The handle is easy to hold and the machine is lightweight and portable so would be easy enough to travel with. The detachable section cup which has two rollers inside seems quite secure and can only be detached by pressing a button underneath on the base. It comes with replacement filter,a brush for cleaning and a USB cord for charging which I just plugged into my cellphone charger. No manual but easy to follow instructions on the box.
The device has two modes: Electronic muscle stimulation (EMS) which glow red on the device and Vacuum massage technique (LIPO) which glow blue.
For the purpose of this trial I wanted to trial the device on the back and sides of my knees/inner thighs as this has always been a problem area for me with bumpy skin.
After showering at night I generously applied my pure fiji body lotion to the back and sides of my knees/inner thighs. I then used upward motions over my skin for approximately 3-5mins. The release button on the device became my friend at times when the suction became too much. The lipo setting which has three intensity levels felt very strong for me even on intensity 1 to begin with and I haven't been able to progress past this setting yet as it's still quite painful. Hopefully after a few more weeks of use this will become easier. The EMS setting which has five intensity levels are more manageable for me at the moment as it feel like light tingling that gets a little bit stronger as you increase up the levels.
I like this device, it's easy to use and feels like it's working. My skin around my knees/inner thighs feels smoother but they have also has been getting regular moisturizer too in the past week. It's too soon to see any other results like increased skin firmness or reduction in cellulite after just 1 week of use but I believe consistency will be the key with this device. I will keep using for another 7 weeks and update my results at the end.
Tips: Make sure to hold skin your skin taut so no air gets into the suction cup and be generous with moisturizer.
