I was really excited to try the Manicare Firming Body Sculptor as I have never had a salon grade device at home, and I am not someone who likes to spend money on going to a beauty salon. At the same time, I like to look healthy and fit, and the cellulite on my legs has been something that has been bugging me for many years. When I opened the packet I was impressed with how well made the Body Sculptor looks and feels, and it has a shape that makes it very comfortable to hold. What I did not like was that it came with very limited instructions, and this is my main reason for not giving it a higher rating. The box contained some items that were not described anywhere, and it took me a while to figure out that they must be little replacement filters that sit over the inlet of the vacuum pump. There is no guide as to when they should be changed. Also, the device has a switch on the side that can be moved between “1” and “2”, but there is no information what the switch is for. I tried to find out more by scanning the QR code on the box, hoping that it would take me to a manual for the device, but it only took me to a website with exactly the same information that is also printed on the box. For such a technical device I was very disappointed to get so little information on how to use it correctly. When I started using the Sculptor I started with both the EMS and the lipo setting on 1, as advised, but I could not feel anything. I increased the intensity over the next few days to a 3 for EMS and 2 for lipo, and the treatment duration for each area to 5 minutes. This gave me a treatment that feels like a “good workout”, and I will soon increase it a bit more. I will also try to find out what the 1/2 switch on the side of the device does. Maybe it makes more intensity levels available? However, the instructions on the internet say that the device has 5 EMS settings, and these are all accessible with the switch in the “1” setting. The EMS uses electrical impulses, and I can feel them make my muscles twitch, so they are surely strong enough. The advice is to use the device 5 days per week and have two rest days, and I have been sticking to this. I have only had the device for 2 weeks for this trial, and so far I cannot see any change in the firmness of my skin in the areas I have been treating. However, according to the website, the change observed by others was after 8 weeks, so I will keep going. My skin is definitely well moisturised as you use a lot of moisturiser with the Sculptor. The downside is that the Sculptor gets covered in moisturiser, and it has lots of hard to reach places that are impossible to clean. It came with a little brush, but this is not suitable for removing moisturiser from the device. If the Body Sculptor reduces my cellulite and makes my skin firmer I will change my rating, but right now I am not convinced by this device.

Where do I even start with this machine. It definitely showed me results in 2 weeks. My skin felt firmer and it got my circulation going. I have really bad circulation and my legs have a lot of cellulite on them. I loved trying this machine because these are my biggest worries. I definitely noticed the difference with fluid from my legs. The machine itself is easy to use. It requires you to moisturize before use. First, using the machine was very strange. I started off with the lowest setting so I could get used to it. At first it hurt my skin as I didn't moisturize enough for it to glide along. That was a trial and error for me. It got better once I used more moisturizer. The machine is pretty straight forward to use. It's got lots of settings and you can do it harder once you get used to it. The little shocks targeted my muscles and I woke up feeling like I had worked out! I love that it's pink. Easy to clean and comes with a little brush to clean it. I fully recommend trying this product.
Tips: Use on the lowest setting first. Let your body get used to it. Make sure you really lather up to allow the machine to move along your skin. Make sure you clean after each use.
Starting with the good - I think the skin tone and minor imperfections got better over the week I tried this and it was easy to use. I’ll use it for a few more weeks to see if it helps any of the deeper lumps and bumps. Could’ve had better instructions in the box, in the end I found a video online showing how to use it. Initially I didn’t move it fast enough and my skin got quite red but it soon calmed down. I didn’t like where the handle was and ended up holding the head of the machine so it was easier to move up my leg. Hasn’t made any different to the deeper bumps and lumps yet, the box says noticeable difference in 8 weeks so there’s still time to see a difference in those. Also do listen to the instruction about using moisturiser, it helps move it along better.
Tips: Check out YouTube for how to use video
I've never used a tool like this before and it was really simple to set up and use, just put the attachment on, charge for a few hours and you're good to go. I especially love that it's cordless, that makes it so much easier to use and I found I didn't need to charge it after each use.
I have been using it on my thighs and I'm still getting used to the way it feels. It does feel strange at first and for the LIPO function, I have stayed at the lower end of the settings for now as the suction power surprised me and my muscles. I found the EMS to be easier to get used to. I will say that you need a decent amount of moisturiser (not for use with oils) and it works best with a thicker one or it doesn't glide as smoothly. I appreciate that you can use the two functions seperately or together and choose which one you want stronger. I used the EMS more than the LIPO function as I was worried about the suction of my skin everyday.
I also like the product design, lovely colour, nice to hold and very light. It's quick to wash and it comes with spare little filter things and tweezers to change them which is nice. I used it for the recommended 5 days and 2 days rest though I broke it up with two half sessions in the afternoon and evening to get my muscles used to it. I can feel a difference in my thighs, they do feel slightly firmer but I think I'll be able to 'see' more of an effect as I continue to use it. This is definitely a long-term use product. I'm pretty pleased with how it's going and I would recommend this product.
Ok, so I have read a lot on this type of massage and vacuum for orange peel skin but wasn't sure if it would really work or not.
To be honest I don't think I have used this machine for long enough to get the results I really want, however in the short time I have used it, it has definitely made some difference to the area I used it on.
I loved the pink box it came in - nice calming colour. The unit itself is cute, a good size and again I liked the colour of it. Nice shape and fits nicely in the hand. It was easy to charge it up, with lots of colour lights flashing so you knew it was on charge. It didn't really have any user guide with it but the instructions were on the back of the box (luckily I didn't throw it out straight away). I'm sure that you could get them off the internet anyway. I was a little bit confused on the buttons and what did what at first, but it was easier once I'd used it for the first time.
It said to use a good moisturiser on your skin before apply the machine, so I applied a good amount first. The unit really grips onto your skin! Even on the first level, you can let go of it and it sticks haha. I tried the first level of both the EMS and the vacuum to start of gently as it suggested, it is such a weird feeling! And it was difficult to get the thing moving so the rollers went as well, but once I got the hang of it - it moved along quite easily.
I put the levels up fairly quickly as I felt like it wasn't doing much otherwise, and had it on full bore moving it around the area that needed it. It actually hurts a bit! But not that bad, I could put up with it and it's not working unless you can feel it!
I really don't think that I have used this for as long as I needed though to get the best results. It did make a small amount of difference to the skin smoothness etc of the area I applied it to and am sure that after continued use (they do say 8 weeks), that it will be even better.
I have a couple weeks until Christmas so will continue to use it in hopes that I may be able to bare some upper thigh!!
I'll keep using this unit as I am quite sure it will improve even more.
Tips: Go slow! Start on the lowest setting until you're comfortable with the feeling and moving it on your skin. Do use enough moisturiser also
It is first time I have been using such product on my body so thanks for the opportunity to trial it. Let's start from the packaging. It comes in a cute pink box and will make such a lovely gift. The device's size is great and it is easy to hold and use. The cleaning afterwards is easy too. I find that it doesn't need to be charged often, well really depends on how often you use the device. I apply a body lotion with thicker texture before using the sculptor as I found light moisturizers aren't working that well. I use the product mostly on my stomach and thighs as my skin is lose there. Don't use the device on your face, it is quite strong. To start with I used it for few days on EMS mode as my skin is sensitive and I couldn't tolerate LIPO mode at first. I still find EMS is easier to do but LIPO is definitely more effective especially for my stomach skin. It is recommended to use for 5 days and then have 2 days of rest which I did. It is a bit unpleasant to use after a break but I am getting used to it quickly. This product isn't a magic however I definitely have seen improvement. My skin doesn't look so lose and saggy and my cellulite on thighs has improved a lot. The suction at first isnt pleasant and I think some people may not enjoy it. But overall if you want to improve your skin elasticity and don't have funds/time to go the salon, this device is really so helpful.
Tips: Apply moisturizer with thicker texture before using the sculptor.
Ok first things first, it did take me a while to get the hang of it. It gave me a bit of a fright because I wasn’t expecting the suction to be so strong (it’s a good thing). It’s a light weight device that comes with a detachable suction cup with two little rollers inside and small bag of replacement filters. It’s cordless too which is amazing because all you have to do is charge it and away you go. The battery life is very impressive, I have only had to charge it twice over the two week period which is a huge plus for me.
The machine itself is small but wow she packs a punch (in a good way). I have a lot of cellulite on my upper thighs so throughout this trial I only focused on this problem area. I wanted to do a comparison between my two thighs so I only used this machine on my right thigh. It’s recommended to use it for 3-5 minutes every day for maximum results.
Somedays I had used it a couple times throughout the course of the day because I was so excited about the results I was seeing. Compared to my left leg, my right leg is so much smoother and I can now see a pretty impressive difference between the two. My skin is firmer with less visible bumpy areas which is super super exciting!
For me I found that the easiest way to position myself when using this machine was me standing and resting my leg with a bent knee on the end of my bed. I found it was the better position for me to be able to use the machine properly without the suction being too strong prompting me to continuously use the release button like I was doing when I was standing upright in-front of the mirror lol. Finding the right position for you is 100% vital so you can get the full benefits of this product.
Overall I think this machine is fantastic and I am so excited to continue using it.
Tips: Make sure you use a decent amount of lotion when using this device, it makes a noticeable difference when you have enough lotion as the machine glides more effortlessly.
I was so excited to get to trial this device and the results so far haven’t disappointed. The first time I tried this I hadn’t quite understood the instructions on the box so ended up with a very bruised thigh. This made me nervous about using it again but I’m glad I persevered. On the second day I fiddled around with the settings and after applying a body lotion (this will help with conduction) I attached it to one thigh and dragged it towards me, pressing the release button to release suction once I had reached the top of the thigh. I continued this for 3-5 minutes everyday and after almost 2 weeks of use I’m definitely noticing some improvements to the firmness of my thigh. I only did it to one because I wanted to see if there was a visible difference. I’ve played around with different body lotions and so far I think a body butter is best as it’s thicker and seems to hold suction better than a more lightweight body lotion. I’m excited to start using this on other parts of my body and see what difference it makes to the other wobbly bits. A great product that we didn’t know we needed
Tips: There are instructions on the box but you definitely need to play around with the settings a few times to find a comfortable level that works for you. This does state that it shouldn’t be used by anyone with a pacemaker or heart condition, broken or inflamed skin as a dragging motion is needed for it to be effective.
Firstly I would like to thank BR for the opportunity to trial the Manicare Salon Firming Body Sculptor.
This device has 2 functions to it, firstly Electrical Muscle Stimulation and also LIPO Vacuum Suction with massaging rollers.
The main purpose of this device is to stimulate blood flow and help to eradicate cellulite and to firm and tone your muscles and appearance of your skin.
This comes with an attachable roller which you roll over your body while it creates suction plus massaging while it emits EMS.
You must use a lotion otherwise this won't work and I read online not to use a body oil otherwise the EMS won't work. I tried one body lotion and ended up splashing water on to make it roll across my skin but found it wasn't suitable so I switched to the Nivea Organic Oat body lotion with great success.
This is a tricky device to use initially but once you get the hang of it it does become easier.
I especially like the EMS as I felt it working that much so it made my fingers tingle when I did my arms. With this in mind I would not use if you have a medical device or checked with your doctor beforehand.
There are different levels for the EMS and the suction. Also you can increase the suction further switching the button on the side from 1-2. You do need to keep your skin as taut as possible otherwise this device will suck and will be difficult to move however there is a release button.
I used this on my upper arms, thighs, buttocks and stomach.
I have trialled this device for approximately 2 weeks and have felt my muscles are more toned particularly my arms where let's face it with age they do start to lose some tone. With more time I believe that I will see more improvement and will be able to increase the suction to a higher setting from 1-2.
It does really emit a pulse which feels a little sharp if used on the highest setting and the LIPO suction is very strong too and can hurt if you have it set too high.
I will definitely continue to use this as I feel I've had an improvement.
Tips: Find a suitable body lotion and persevere while you get the hang of it.
I was really happy to be chosen to trial the new Manicare Firming Body Sculptor. I’ve been researching body firming devices for awhile now, but their price point was prohibitive. This Manicare body sculptor is affordable.
I googled the device to find out as much information as I could and read the instructional leaflet in the box to make sure that I followed the instructions.
I applied a thick layer of body moisturiser to my hips and thighs and did not massage it in. I set the EMS feature on the highest level and the lipo suction on the lowest setting. I then used slow gliding strokes up my thighs towards and over my hips.
The Manicare Firming Body Sculptor is quite a relaxing treatment with the EMS stimulation creating a very mild electrical charge. The LIPO suction however, provides quite an intense massage even on the lowest setting. However, this could be because I have a lot of fat and cellulite to treat. Also, there was the odd patch where I had not used enough moisturiser and this made the machine catch. When this occurred, I used the release button to remove the device from my skin.
The recommended treatment time is 3-5 minutes per day on the treatment area so it is very time efficient.
I really enjoyed trialling the Manicare Firming Body Sculptor as I could feel it working. I look forward to seeing the long term results from regular use in conjunction with my improved diet and exercise routine.
Tips: It’s essential to use a lot of moisturiser so buy a big tub of thick cream to use.
