As happens with age and kids my thigh area had gotten a bit cellulite-y. I have also recently taken up exercising and noticed a little improvement in tone as well. I am currently out of action exercise wise due to a major ankle sprain and this machine arrived at the perfect time to test it. I opened my parcel and inspected the box, it was a pretty lilac pink with a photo of the sculptor. It appeared to have a lot of information on the box, almost overwhelming , so I took the time to read it all before actually opening it. After reading everything including the “quick start guide” on the back I opened the box so I could find a manual or proper instructions etc but there wasn’t any. I googled and went on YouTube and found no more info. re read the box again and found a QR code that took me to the website but it didn’t really provide anymore info. I’m not sure that I should maybe be familiar with how to use this type of product as a customer but I’m a complete newbie so that was a huge downfall for the product. Inside the box was a charger (you need to provide the wall adapter), the machine and the suction roller head and replacement filter things and a cleaning brush. Sorry I don’t know what they’re (no instructions) I worked out that when you use the moisturiser with it the massager can get a bit gunky and the little filters stop the moisturiser going into the suction part of the machine. I charged it up and had a go, I really felt like I was winging it with the quick start instructions. First of all make sure you use ALOT of moisturiser and keep it moving or it’s like a vaccumm on the skin and it’s hard to get off and painful. There is a release button to break suction. You can use the EMS setting and the suction setting at the same time. Are you supposed to? I’m not sure. There is also a switch on the side saying 1 and 2, nowhere could I find what it was for but it appears to make the suction stronger. I think. Btw it’s super loud. It was sort of uncomfortable at first but my skin quickly got used to it and honestly I felt results right away. I managed to do 4 days on 1 charge and decided then to recharge it so battery life is good. I got better at manoeuvring it around my body each day too and now after a shower I sit on the couch and use it. I’m loving the results after only 2 weeks. It recommends 5 days use with 2 days rest, much like exercise. Would I recommend it? Absolutely!!! It 100% works. A little disappointed there aren’t better instructions but for the results it gives it’s forgivable. That would be my only dislike about the product. I don’t even think it’s expensive for what it claims to do. It’s worth every cent. My skin feels amazing and it’s only been 2 weeks. I can’t wait to get to the recommended 8 weeks. My legs feel summer ready for the first time in years. Younger softer and more supple feeling skin.

Tips: Tips: use a thick moisturiser that doesn’t absorb too quickly. I use Nivea moisturising products (extra rich as I have dry thirsty skin) Shave legs beforehand for super softness Glide in an upwards direction and keep it moving Start on the lowest settings and use religiously 5 days on, 2 days off. Keep an eye out on YouTube etc for how others are using it
What a strange looking contraption! My kids call this 'alien tech' and keep trying to use it in their Doctor Who reenactments!
It's a nice little gadget, easy to hold and has a nice weight to it. I like that it comes with a charging lead, much better than having to change batteries.
The buttons/levels weren't as intuitive as I would like, I wanted to plug and play, but alas, I had to read first.
I still haven't figured out what the side switch between 1 and 2 is for - given you select the levels for the stimulator and suction on the front!
I've been using on my tummy and thighs for the trial period. I started on the lower settings but now have high. If you don't use enough moisturiser it will vacuum on and you will bruise if you're not quick enough with the release button!
I really enjoy using it and after I feel like I've done something, so it definitely doesn't feel like a wasted or frivilous exercise.
I think my skin is improving, I wouldn't say its necessarily firmer, this isn't as my husband delightfully put it, a 'fat sucker' but I do think my skin is softer and smoother to touch and does look much more even - and that's after just 2 weeks!
Tips: Use a moisturiser you don't mind using lots of at a time!
I'm a firm believer that to see a reduction in cellulite and skin texture, you have to put in the work. Drink water, eat healthily and exercise. BUT there will always be areas where this just doesn't get rid of it altogether and having a nifty gadget like this to provide extra attention and stimulation to troublesome areas is great.
It comes well packaged and is easy to get set up - literally you plug it in and wait for it to charge. I do wish it came with a usb plug too, as I did have to use my phone's in-wall bit.
The buttons are clearly labelled and it's not too much of a stretch to work out what to do from the instructions.
You need to be very generous with the moisturiser, otherwise it will not glide!!
I actually used a light moisturiser as I didn't want to clog pores with a heavier product.
I started on a high setting because I'm a rebel and cos, it didn't half tang - so I immedicately went to the lowest setting.
I've been using this on my upper thighs and butt - and I've enjoyed using it. I do think I look less bumpy in these areas and my skin feels soft and smooth. I definitely ache after use which I wasn't expecting - it's that post-workout/ post-massage ache that tells you things have been moving.
In conjunction with a good diet and exercise I think this is a great tool in the arsenal to further target areas and promote a more even skin texture.
I was really happy to be chosen to trial the new Manicare Firming Body Sculptor. I’ve been researching body firming devices for awhile now, but their price point was prohibitive. This Manicare body sculptor is affordable.
I googled the device to find out as much information as I could and read the instructional leaflet in the box to make sure that I followed the instructions.
I applied a thick layer of body moisturiser to my hips and thighs and did not massage it in. I set the EMS feature on the highest level and the lipo suction on the lowest setting. I then used slow gliding strokes up my thighs towards and over my hips.
The Manicare Firming Body Sculptor is quite a relaxing treatment with the EMS stimulation creating a very mild electrical charge. The LIPO suction however, provides quite an intense massage even on the lowest setting. However, this could be because I have a lot of fat and cellulite to treat. Also, there was the odd patch where I had not used enough moisturiser and this made the machine catch. When this occurred, I used the release button to remove the device from my skin.
The recommended treatment time is 3-5 minutes per day on the treatment area so it is very time efficient.
I really enjoyed trialling the Manicare Firming Body Sculptor as I could feel it working. I look forward to seeing the long term results from regular use in conjunction with my improved diet and exercise routine.
Tips: It’s essential to use a lot of moisturiser so buy a big tub of thick cream to use.
I was really excited to try the Manicare Firming Body Sculptor as I have never had a salon grade device at home, and I am not someone who likes to spend money on going to a beauty salon. At the same time, I like to look healthy and fit, and the cellulite on my legs has been something that has been bugging me for many years. When I opened the packet I was impressed with how well made the Body Sculptor looks and feels, and it has a shape that makes it very comfortable to hold. What I did not like was that it came with very limited instructions, and this is my main reason for not giving it a higher rating. The box contained some items that were not described anywhere, and it took me a while to figure out that they must be little replacement filters that sit over the inlet of the vacuum pump. There is no guide as to when they should be changed. Also, the device has a switch on the side that can be moved between “1” and “2”, but there is no information what the switch is for. I tried to find out more by scanning the QR code on the box, hoping that it would take me to a manual for the device, but it only took me to a website with exactly the same information that is also printed on the box. For such a technical device I was very disappointed to get so little information on how to use it correctly. When I started using the Sculptor I started with both the EMS and the lipo setting on 1, as advised, but I could not feel anything. I increased the intensity over the next few days to a 3 for EMS and 2 for lipo, and the treatment duration for each area to 5 minutes. This gave me a treatment that feels like a “good workout”, and I will soon increase it a bit more. I will also try to find out what the 1/2 switch on the side of the device does. Maybe it makes more intensity levels available? However, the instructions on the internet say that the device has 5 EMS settings, and these are all accessible with the switch in the “1” setting. The EMS uses electrical impulses, and I can feel them make my muscles twitch, so they are surely strong enough. The advice is to use the device 5 days per week and have two rest days, and I have been sticking to this. I have only had the device for 2 weeks for this trial, and so far I cannot see any change in the firmness of my skin in the areas I have been treating. However, according to the website, the change observed by others was after 8 weeks, so I will keep going. My skin is definitely well moisturised as you use a lot of moisturiser with the Sculptor. The downside is that the Sculptor gets covered in moisturiser, and it has lots of hard to reach places that are impossible to clean. It came with a little brush, but this is not suitable for removing moisturiser from the device. If the Body Sculptor reduces my cellulite and makes my skin firmer I will change my rating, but right now I am not convinced by this device.
Where do I even start with this machine. It definitely showed me results in 2 weeks. My skin felt firmer and it got my circulation going. I have really bad circulation and my legs have a lot of cellulite on them. I loved trying this machine because these are my biggest worries. I definitely noticed the difference with fluid from my legs. The machine itself is easy to use. It requires you to moisturize before use. First, using the machine was very strange. I started off with the lowest setting so I could get used to it. At first it hurt my skin as I didn't moisturize enough for it to glide along. That was a trial and error for me. It got better once I used more moisturizer. The machine is pretty straight forward to use. It's got lots of settings and you can do it harder once you get used to it. The little shocks targeted my muscles and I woke up feeling like I had worked out! I love that it's pink. Easy to clean and comes with a little brush to clean it. I fully recommend trying this product.
Tips: Use on the lowest setting first. Let your body get used to it. Make sure you really lather up to allow the machine to move along your skin. Make sure you clean after each use.
Starting with the good - I think the skin tone and minor imperfections got better over the week I tried this and it was easy to use. I’ll use it for a few more weeks to see if it helps any of the deeper lumps and bumps. Could’ve had better instructions in the box, in the end I found a video online showing how to use it. Initially I didn’t move it fast enough and my skin got quite red but it soon calmed down. I didn’t like where the handle was and ended up holding the head of the machine so it was easier to move up my leg. Hasn’t made any different to the deeper bumps and lumps yet, the box says noticeable difference in 8 weeks so there’s still time to see a difference in those. Also do listen to the instruction about using moisturiser, it helps move it along better.
Tips: Check out YouTube for how to use video
I've never used a tool like this before and it was really simple to set up and use, just put the attachment on, charge for a few hours and you're good to go. I especially love that it's cordless, that makes it so much easier to use and I found I didn't need to charge it after each use.
I have been using it on my thighs and I'm still getting used to the way it feels. It does feel strange at first and for the LIPO function, I have stayed at the lower end of the settings for now as the suction power surprised me and my muscles. I found the EMS to be easier to get used to. I will say that you need a decent amount of moisturiser (not for use with oils) and it works best with a thicker one or it doesn't glide as smoothly. I appreciate that you can use the two functions seperately or together and choose which one you want stronger. I used the EMS more than the LIPO function as I was worried about the suction of my skin everyday.
I also like the product design, lovely colour, nice to hold and very light. It's quick to wash and it comes with spare little filter things and tweezers to change them which is nice. I used it for the recommended 5 days and 2 days rest though I broke it up with two half sessions in the afternoon and evening to get my muscles used to it. I can feel a difference in my thighs, they do feel slightly firmer but I think I'll be able to 'see' more of an effect as I continue to use it. This is definitely a long-term use product. I'm pretty pleased with how it's going and I would recommend this product.
Ok, so I have read a lot on this type of massage and vacuum for orange peel skin but wasn't sure if it would really work or not.
To be honest I don't think I have used this machine for long enough to get the results I really want, however in the short time I have used it, it has definitely made some difference to the area I used it on.
I loved the pink box it came in - nice calming colour. The unit itself is cute, a good size and again I liked the colour of it. Nice shape and fits nicely in the hand. It was easy to charge it up, with lots of colour lights flashing so you knew it was on charge. It didn't really have any user guide with it but the instructions were on the back of the box (luckily I didn't throw it out straight away). I'm sure that you could get them off the internet anyway. I was a little bit confused on the buttons and what did what at first, but it was easier once I'd used it for the first time.
It said to use a good moisturiser on your skin before apply the machine, so I applied a good amount first. The unit really grips onto your skin! Even on the first level, you can let go of it and it sticks haha. I tried the first level of both the EMS and the vacuum to start of gently as it suggested, it is such a weird feeling! And it was difficult to get the thing moving so the rollers went as well, but once I got the hang of it - it moved along quite easily.
I put the levels up fairly quickly as I felt like it wasn't doing much otherwise, and had it on full bore moving it around the area that needed it. It actually hurts a bit! But not that bad, I could put up with it and it's not working unless you can feel it!
I really don't think that I have used this for as long as I needed though to get the best results. It did make a small amount of difference to the skin smoothness etc of the area I applied it to and am sure that after continued use (they do say 8 weeks), that it will be even better.
I have a couple weeks until Christmas so will continue to use it in hopes that I may be able to bare some upper thigh!!
I'll keep using this unit as I am quite sure it will improve even more.
Tips: Go slow! Start on the lowest setting until you're comfortable with the feeling and moving it on your skin. Do use enough moisturiser also
I wasn't sure what to expect with this - what would it feel like? Would it hurt? Would it be any good?
Firstly - there are very scant instructions so I had a look on the website and watched the video. Evidently I was over-complicating things haha, you literally turn it on and just run it up the area you're targeting.
The key thing to remember before you start: The suction can be quite strong, so familiarise yourself with the 'release' button.
It feels really... weird is the best word. Your muscles start contacting like those old fashioned ab belts but as you're constantly moving it it feels more energising and less twing-y. The suction is sort of massaging but it doesn't feel like a relaxing massage.
You'll likely be surprised by the feel of the targeted areas an hour or so later - you can feel they've been worked on.
Over the last few weeks I've been using this on my thighs only. That's 10 minutes a day / nearly an hour a week. Have I noticed an improvement? I actually have! The skin texture feels and looks more even, less dimply even.
I will continue use and update but right now, I'm very happy with the performance and results so far.
