The pediPRO callus file arrived in a somewhat plain plastic box, nothing too fancy. At first glance this could have been just another standard foot file, however the glint of silver drew my eye - when you notice the Diamondcel grit pad you can tell this file really means business! And boy did it deliver!
One touch of the Diamondcel grit confirms the intensity of this file, the coarse raised bumps are so rough they even cling to the grooves on your fingers. The finer side of the file does feel similar to the texture of a pumice stone, but the metal look does remind me of a mini cheese grater.
I firstly tried out the file dry, on the coarse side - I was blown away with the amount of dry skin turning to dust from my heels! It took mere minutes to transform my heel and reveal the smooth soft layer. I finished off with the fine side to buff and fine tune the sensitive soft areas on the side of my heel.
I did also try the pediPRO in the shower but I found it easier to monitor the amount of dry skin removal and control the intensity when the file was dry, I was wary of shaving off too much skin.
I really love the slim profile of the file and the soft touch handle, it is not big or bulky and sits comfortably in the hand - it doesn’t slip even whilst using in water.
I was most impressed with the end result, especially considering it was painless and only took mere minutes to achieve. Overall I would recommend the pediPRO to any women or man who wants soft feet with no fuss, this is a great little tool at an affordable price point to keep in your beauty tool kit.
Honestly the thing didn't look like much, mostly plastic and the glue wasn't very intact on the inside, when you squeeze it it makes a popping sound. BUT, apart from this, the file itself worked wonders, I only used it for 10 sec on the rough side then another few more sec with the fine side and my skin was smooth for a good week. Surprisingly good little tool and now I use this every week on my heels too! (ps. I used it dry)
Tips: always use the rough side first, then the fine side, brush off the dead skin and moisturise!
