I was lucky enough to win a selection of products from the Manuka Honey range and this product was one of them. I love a foaming cleanser because my skin feels really clean afterwards and this was no exception. I’ve used this morning and night for close to a week and while it definitely cleans well the smell is quite off putting. I think it’s supposed to smell like honey but it just smells artificial. I have oily skin and this cleanser did work well on my skin type and dispensed just the right amount of foam to wash my face but because of the smell I just haven’t enjoyed using it unfortunately. I’ve given the remainder to my daughter and although she doesn’t like the fragrance she is enjoying the product. This is something I wouldn’t consider buying in the future but if you don’t mind the scent then you might like it.

Manuka Honey Refreshing Facial Wash Review
A luxurious foaming cleanser suitable for all skin types. The unique pump action aerates the liquid to create a luxurious foam to help remove impurities and rejuvenate the skin giving you a feeling of freshness. Aromatic Sweet Orange Oil provides both an uplifting scent and helps to detoxify the skin, while the natural properties of Willowbark Extract work to deep cleanse the pores. A combination of skin softening Sesame Oil and Hibiscus Extract moisturise and nourish the skin for a more youthful complexion.

I really enjoyed trialling this product, it smells great and over a long period of use did not make my sensitive skin react. I really like the packaging of the product which looks really elegant and natural and the fact that the product is 99% natural, made in New Zealand and utilises manuka honey. My skin feels very clean and fresh after using this product in the shower and the foaming pump bottle is very handy. I also like how the product is not tested on animals. Its a great product to use before the wild ferns purifying toner and also removes light make up.
Tips: I felt the need when using the product to use two pumps but this uses the product quite quickly and one pump is plenty :-)
1. PACKAGING: Product is packaged well inside a box that features clear print and an effective design. The Product itself is in a heavy duty plastic bottle with a good size pump and clear lid. The bottle is clear so you can see the product inside and the print on the bottle is clear and easy to read.
2. The Product: Contains a lot of beneficial ingredients, the main being pure New Zealand Manuka Honey. It has a refreshing fragrance which may not be something everyone will like as it can be strong when you first start using this product. I was never one to go for strong fragrant items but the more I used this the more I got use to it.
3. HOW I USE IT: Every morning I would use this the cleanse my face, I would massage warm water onto my face and neck, I would then apply 1 full pump of the cleanser to my fingertips and start to massage the product onto my face and neck (making sure to avoid contact with my eyes). After a couple a minutes of massaging the cleanser into my skin I then use warm water to rinse the cleanser off. I then repeat this step in the evenings before bed. If I wear a full face of makeup I would go in with the cleanser after using a makeup remover wipe.
4. MY FINAL THOUGHTS: Even though I found the fragrance to be strong when I first started using this cleanser, I found the more I used it the more I got use to it. After a week I started to notice my skin felt more nourished and appeared to have a more youthful glow (which is amazing compared I am in the mid 30s #WINNING). I suffered from dry patches and uneven skintone as well as hormonal breakouts. I think using this cleanser in conjunction with the toner and moisturiser has really improved my skins texture and appearance. Of course its helped with drinking 2 litres of water a day but since using WILD FERNS products I feel and notice a huge difference. Definitely worth investing in this skincare.
Overall Ranking: 8/10
Tips: Use Morning and Night, massage gently into your skin, avoiding any contact with your eyes.
The Wild Ferns Manuka Honey Gentle Facial Cleanser smells absolutely amazing - like real manuka honey! It's a very foamy cleanser rather than one of a lot of substance which means it doesn't entirely remove my stubborn waterproof mascara. But being natural my skin loves it and feels super soft after cleansing.
Tips: I use it in the shower twice a day and find about 1.5 pumps does the job nicely.
I received this as a trial from Beauty Review, thanks guys! Unfortunately it wasn't quite for me.
The product comes in a yellow tainted plastic bottle with a white pump on top. It's a foaming cleanser which i don't usually use so was keen to try it.
The product comes out pretty fast so you really only need one pump, if that. It feels nice and soft on the skin and did a good job of cleaning my face.
Although the product actually worked pretty well for me it had two big downsides. The first was the smell, I can't stand it! I think it smells of the manuka pollen and, although some people like it, it was just way too strong for me. I get quite bad hayfever so I get really sensitive to some pollen smells and this was just not enjoyable for me.
The other downside was that it really strips your skin and leaves it feeling quite dry. This wasn't a problem for me as I have combination/oily skin and always moisturise after cleansing, but if you had dryer, more sensitive skin it could leave your skin dry and patchy.
All in all, it actually does a good job but has a few negative aspects that really let it down. There products are also usually found in souvenir shops so I'd never really considered using them. I'll be sticking to my goodness cleanser.
I can say i really liked this cleanser. the pump bottle was great but every time i used it it got up my nose and stung really bad. It also didn't feel like it gave a deep clean like i was used to. I will continue to use the cleanser to see if my opinion changes as its not terrible i just think there are better products out there.
this cleanser is definitely very gentle on the skin and would be perfect for people with sensitive skin who can't handle exfoliants. This product comes out as a foamy texture and is very easy to apply to the skin. It is also very easy to use as you just press down on the dispenser unlike many other face wash containers.
Tips: If you prefer a deep scrub, you'd need to use an exfoliant 2-3 times a week as this is definitely just a 'gentle' cleanser.
My review is for the Wild ferns Manuka Honey foaming cleanser. I really love this cleanser. I have oily skin and I find it doesn't strip my skin. A half of pump is all you need, apply morning and night, rub in for 30seconds before rinsing. The smell is strong but I love the smell. I will definitely be purchasing this again when I run out. I have been using for 4 weeks now and still have 3/4 of the bottle left.
Tips: Follow with the toner and moisturiser.
I am very pleased with the results of this cleanser. It has a lovely bottle with a push dispenser that makes it a foam and the fragrance is absolutely amazing. I love honey and look forward to using it in the morning just for the smell. I have found after 2 weeks of using this (the regime) that my skin is so much clearer and translucent. It seems to clean my skin so well. I am also very pleased with how easy it washes off. Makes it a breeze in the mornings. I am in love this and this range and it will definitely be my only morning skincare routine.
Tips: make sure your face is wet before applying.
First off the packaging and presentation of this range is bright and pretty. Never used a cleanser that smelt so sweet it was a bit overpowering but welcomed. One pump is almost more than enough but it foam feels nice as you're applying it. I wouldn't necessarily say it left my combination skin feeling refreshing and detoxified but my skin did seem to be bright and glow-y after cleansing. Overall after using it for over a week I can confidently say it is not one of my favourites but feel it would be good to use doing winter because the skin can get so dry and this would help rejuvenate it.
