Mecca Cosmetics Tender Loving Scrubbing

I was super excited to try this body scrub, as to be totally honest I haven't used one in a while! The smell is very citrusy and incredibly refreshing, and while the smell doesn't linger long on your skin it does make your bathroom smell lovely for hours after.

The formulation is quite soft, and I did think it would have been a bit more abrasive as it is a sea salt based scrub. I do quite like a harsh scrub, and I found I needed quite a bit of the product to get the abrasive action I needed. My skin did feel really smooth after using and the shea butter is extremely hydrating. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 is because I think it could be a little more abrasive and also because of the price!

I haven't used a body scrub for years (gak!) But this product bought back really quickly the reasons why I, (and everyone else) should do.

The product just smells DEVINE, it has a fresh Grapefruit smell that I just love so I was hooked almost at once. The base of the scrub is sea salt, but not a really big chunky mix, this is more of a finer slurry.

So away I scrubbed and then I rinsed and OMG how silky and smooth did my skin feel! It seriously felt like I had "shed" a whole layer..which I probably had.

I rarely react to anything and I like a harsher scrub on my face than many facial scrubs provide, so I even used it on my face and there you have it a great result there as well.

To be honest, I love it so much I have to stop myself from using it every day!

The only reason I haven't given this 5's all the way, was the price. Yes it was amazing and it is a generous pot so given you'd probably use it one twice a week max, it will probably last 4-6 weeks, but $58...hmmmm, the jury is out for me if i'd shell that out on a regular basis.

I loved this scrub. Definately the best body scrub i have ever used. It delivered what was promised, i have never had such soft silky skin. It created the perfect base for the self tanning products i use. Its the perfect balance of exfoliating sea salt and moisturising shea butter. My skin felt soft and moisturised after using this and i didn't actually find i needed to apply a moisturiser like i normally would. It has a nice, thick luxurious and slightly grainy texture and smells like pink grapefruit so smells fresh and invigorating. I would definitely use this again, it's slightly out of the price range that i would usually spend on a body scrub. But it's definitely worth it. Lovely product!!

This is an amazing product. I had to send my review in after 2 days of use as everybody should have this in the shower. The scent is very light with a citrus smell. The scent does not stay on your skin so it will not distort the smell of your favorite perfume. After using it I felt so awake and ready for the day my skin was soft and could not stop touching it! I felt more refreshed and awake then I do with my normal body scrub. I also noticed some red blemishes that would normally have turned to spots are fading. You don’t need as much as the instructions say you do, I only needed a small amount so the pottle will last quite a while. I would never swear 100% by a product would definitely swear by this product. Also to top off a great product it is against animal testing!

Oh my word this is definitely the creme de la creme of exfoliators, this salt based exfoliator does what it says it will do, there was enough courseness in the scrub to get the right balance of exfoliation without any irritation and the shea butter made my skin feel so so soft and i didnt need to moisturise after! I used this every day for 5 days and i have noticed the difference it has left a silky feel to the tops of my legs and arms without leaving an oily residue, most impressed with this product and the smell of it makes me want to eat it its that good!
