so I thought this would be just as great. It's in a cute tin (I have the purple one-passion flower), but you can barely get any on your finger and it is so thin on the lips that it doesn't last long. It has a barely there scent in the tin but I can't smell or taste anything on my lips. I prefer a thicker lip product, I guess because my lips just like my skin tend to be on the dryer side so I want something to stay on longer. It is also on the expensive side and not super easy to find so it's not something that I will re purchase.

I purchased the light pink MOR lip macaron over a year ago when I was in Wellington and wanted to buy a MOR product. This one jumped out at me as the packaging is super pretty with the lovely colour combination of pastel pink and gold. The front view photo doesn't show it but the product itself resembles a macaron from the side. It smells amazing, and it was such a tough decision to pick between them all. It is sweet - like marshmallows, with a hint of floral to stop it from becoming sickly. The formula is thin and is great for underneath lipstick or as a quick touch of moisture during the day. It is the perfect product to keep in my handbag, but it's not something that I would reach for at night or if my lips were overly dry.
At $10.99 it is a little treat to tuck in my handbag. It would make a lovely gift, wrapped in tissue paper and tucked in a tiny box.
It's a pity this product isn't as good as many of the other MOR products. I totally agree with all the below reviews - it's too thin, the taste isn't great and it's not good for very dry lips. I actually think it makes my lips worse if I apply it when they are overly dry so for that reason alone I wouldn't purchase another one. Also find it a bit messy having to apply with your fingers.
Tips: Don't leave it anywhere too hot during summer as it melts very quickly.
I have been a fan of Mor for years - I love their candles and moisturiser in particular.
I purchased this because I like the brand and the tin was really pretty. Also the balm smelled really nice, which attracted me to it.
Unfortunately I thought the taste was gross, it felt like super thin grease on my lips and I didn't feel that it helped moisturise my lips whatsoever.
I wouldn't purchase this again and wouldn't recommend buying it.
I bought the pink one in this thinking it would have that signature MOR rose scent I love so much, but alas I was hugely disappointed.
The packaging lives up to the MOR standard, but that's about where signature MOR expectations stop.
The balm itself looked like a yellowed vaseline with zero glam to it - it literally has no scent (That or my olfactory system is failing and I somehow doubt that).
It does go on very thin and you have to really work your finger into this thing to warm it up and pick up the product for application. Once on, I felt it was quite good and made my really dry lips feel moisturised, but this lasts barely an hour before you have to reapply. I've stuck with it because I spent the $$ on it and it's almost finished now. I won't be purchasing another because paying less for a blistex which works wonders is probably a better bet.
MOR really need to work on a better formula for this one - but it's not all bad as I said. It does in fact moisturise, if you are willing to keep it handly and keep applying every hour or so as needed.
Not a testament to the MOR brand, but their other products are still amazing.
I got the one pictured that is suppose to smell like Sorbet (?) on here that I got in a subscription box.
I like the brand MOR very much, their hand creams are to die for. Therefore I had huge expectations for this product.
As soon as I opened the product I was put off, the scent was vile. Smelled like cough medicine. Ugh!!
The product it self was so hard almost like soap and just was impossible to get on my lips at all.
I don't know if I got a dud but this one was definitely not for me at all!
Like many others have been a fan of MOR products for ages..... Therefore was BEYOND THRILLED to find this in a recent "goodie bag" I received.... but oh dear - apart from a pretty container which does look like a macaron from the side, there is nothing I can really say about this product... virtually no fragrance, quite greasy, very thin.... so unless you are collecting really pretty tins this is a no go as far as I am concerned, especially when there are so many FAB lip balms out there...
Tips: Buy if you like pretty containers
These lip macarons smell and taste great but do little to improve the condition of your lips. This product appealed to me because of the wide range of flavours available. However, when I applied the balm it was very light, oily and sticky and my lips remained dry afterwards. I would not recommend this lip balm if you want something to improve the condition of dry or chapped lips.
Tips: Don't leave it in your bag on a hot day - mine melted within an hour or so and went all through my purse!
I have this gorgeous little gem in rose. Firstly, the tin is adorable (if not a little difficult to open sometimes!- but that just means it doesn't fall open in my hand bag!). It smells and tastes lovely, and it's super smoothing and hydrating. This is my absolute favourite lip balm, and I have MANY!! It gets rid of my flakey bits almost instantly, I was so impressed! The only rwason I haven't given it more is because I don't know how quickly I'd be willing to spend that much on a lip balm, or recommend because of the price, but I love it and i would be very, VERY tempted to buy all the flavours. Lovely!
Tips: I'm really surprised by all the reviews saying it wasn't great, but i do a lot to keep my lips in good condition so maybe that's why. Keep your lips exfoliated and use lip balm morning and night, and WHENEVER you feel thirsty. Thirst means dehydration, which means your lips and skin will be, too! Apply under a lipstick, as it means you'll have a slightly lighter colour, with the glorious shine given by the balm.
I received one of these in my Sample Bar subscription box and I thought the design was super cute. Its a nice size compact or tin whichever you prefer to call it, and the lid stays on really well. The texture for me was just a bit too thin. I like lip products to be quite thick and moisturising due to having super dry lips. It did glide on really well, but I found it to be a bit sticky and didn't stay on very well at all. I think if they brought one out for super dry lips, then I would consider purchasing this again, but just not for me I'm afraid. Also the flavour wasn't that nice either. So I guess based on all of the above factors, I would definitely only give it 2 stars due to how compact it is and the lovely design. Sometimes you can make a product look really pretty on the outside, but the most important points to consider is the quality of the product inside.
