Firstly, love the packaging, slim , in a nice green pump bottle. It's easy to use, nice to look at and made with 100% cold pressed avocado oil, bonus! I found it went on easily and blended into my skin instantly. My skin felt nice afterwards. I did find it quite runny though and the smell wasn't that great.

This body lotion smelled like pine trees, which for some people I feel like they would like - it was definitely a fresh nature smell. I tend to like sickly sweet or fruity body lotions so this was just a preference thing.
However the lotion didn't leave a whole lot of sticky residue on my hands after rubbing at in as some body lotions do which was a nice change - I could just continue on after applying and not have to worry about wait for my hands to dry off. I liked the finish that it left, it was quite a subtle moisturizing effect and didn't last too long <24 hours. the only reason I wouldn't use again is because of the smell and the finish not being silky smooth.
Ok I got this body lotion along with the system of Nature Box products to review.
Whilst I really like using all of the products together as a system, as they are meant to be used - this lotion was my least fave of the lot.
The packaging is cool - the colour is nice and I like the size of the bottle. It's a really nice green which definitely makes you think avocados. The pump is easy to use and worked well. It is the smell that I really am not into much, it's not so bad with the other hair products and even the body wash. I just really didn't dig the smell of it on my skin, not sure why?
In saying that I have been using it as sometimes things can take a bit to grow on you haha, but it wouldn't be the first lotion I reach for when I need one put it that way.
I really like the fact the avocado oil is 100% cold pressed and that it is free of parabens, sulfates, silicones and artificial colourants, that's a really big up for me and one reason I will continue using it!
So it does tend to hydrate my skin well so does it's job, but for me it was really the smell. All-in-all a good body lotion.
Tips: It tends to be a little runnier than some other brands, which is fine but be careful with the pump as you may get more that you need
This is quite a rich body lotion, the first day I trielled it I used 2 pumps for each leg, this was too much and I ended up a geasy mess. So from them on I used 1 pump per leg/arm. This left my skin feeling soft and smooth, but a little greasy still.
The pump bottle makes it really easy to apply, however this wouldn't be great for travelling as the lock isn't very firm.
Unfortunately this also has the same bad smell as the rest of the range, and this has stopped me rating it higher than I have. I will continue to use it occasionally but I will not repurchase.
Tips: A little goes a long way
I love products with avocado in them, so I was very happy to be given the opportunity to trial the Nature Box avocado range. The range is free from silicones, parabens and sulfates, and is vegan. It is made from 100% cold-pressed avocado oil.
The body lotion comes in a 385ml opaque green plastic bottle with a black pump lid. The label is black with Nature Box written in gold on it. The lotion itself is white, and quite runny. But it is easy to spread and is easily absorbed by the skin. It is gentle and non-irritating, and it has a yummy, citrusy scent.
I think this is great value for money, and I will continue to use it after the trial is over.
Thanks BR for the opportunity to review this Nature Box Collection. The first product that I used the second I received this package in the mail, was the body lotion. I had just finished up my usual Vaseline lotion so it was perfect timing. Im quite fussy with lotions as I enjoy feeling moisturised, refreshed or what have you, but I hate the feeling of being sticky or of a really heavy moisturiser that just sits on your skin and doesn't soak in. This has a nice consistency, not too thick but not watery thin. It does a nice job of making me feel moisturised and gives soft skin, which i'm sure is the 100% cold pressed avocado oil at work. It soaks in somewhat quickly and doesn't leave me feeling sticky or leave behind residue. Love that the range is vegan as well. You get a great amount of product for the price and I really enjoy the packaging visually, but its also made from 25% recycled products which is always brilliant. Scent wise i'm not a lover of avocado, but I don't find it to be offensively strong or overpowering, just a fresh, natural almost earthy scent. Can't wait to purchase product from their other ranges.
I'm always up for trying a new body lotion, as I have quite dry skin that get's itchy, especially when I'm fake tanning.
To start, the packaging for this body lotion is nice and simple. Hardy bottle and I love that it has a pump! I noticed straight off the bat this lotion is quite a thin formula, but this proved to be a blessing as not only did a little go a very long way (one pump easily does both of my legs), the thin formula sinks into my skin SO quickly, and it left my legs feeling moisturised but without that horrible greasy layer that never seems to go away. The scent is pleasant, I can't quite pinpoint it but it's relatively subtle and doesn't smell fake or over powering in any way.
This really is one of my favourite body lotions I have tried to date, it leaves my skin feeling super soft and hydrated and it sinks into my skin beautifully which is something I've struggled to find in a body lotion.
Also, a massive tick of course for being both cruelty free and vegan.
Tips: Don't pump too much - a little goes a long way!
This is product comes in a funky green plastic container that is made of 25% recycled plastic which compliments their product composition being free from silicone and parabens- I really like how earth-friendly everything about their product is. The colour scheme is green/black/gold and I like it, I think its nice and simple and sleek. I like that it has a pump lid to disperse the product and it is easy to use and control how much product comes out. You can also twist to close it to stop leakage, especially good if you are taking it away with you which I thought was thoughtful and not a lot of pump lids have. The product itself is white and creamy, thinner than I thought it would be. It applies very smoothly on your skin and absorbs well, so you don’t need to use much. The scent is a very subtle one with an ever so slight hint of nature. I really like the smell, it’s so fresh and not too overwhelming. It seems to be a reasonable price and compares well to other brands I have used. The fact that it is paraben free, would attract people who have skin allergies and the packaging is not too girly so men might be more inclined to select it. All in all, a good solid product and one I would use again.
Loved this product most out of the avocado range. Easy to apply with excellent absorption and no 'white streaking'. I needed an average amount to cover my body. The smell was a tad strong but did dissipate over time. My skin felt and looked moisturised, so it definitely did what it said it would. I would consider re purchasing because of its moisturising properties, however, the fragrance is a bit of a turn off.
Tips: Best used on its own as opposed to after the avocado wash due to the strong fragrance
Thanks so much BR for choosing me for this trial. I loved the idea of the avocado range with all the benefits it promised. The power of natural ingredients can be amazing so this was something I was really excited about.
I really like the colour and packaging of the bottle - the pump dispenser works easily, and you get the perfect amount of product.
Sadly for me, that’s where the love ended. Like the shower gel, this reminded me of the cheap complimentary lotions you get in hotels. The scent is so unappealing. The product itself feels really thin and strange to apply, and while it absorbed well, I haven’t noticed any change in my skin - if anything, it’s feels a little dryer than when I use my normal lotion.
Perhaps if the cream was a little thicker, and they added some better scent to it (basil and grape perhaps) it would be more appealing. As it is, this is definitely not a product I will be purchasing
