I unfortunately suffer from excessive sweating on my face during the humid months, I have searched and searched for something to relieve this and have tried this product. It did definately relieve the sweating but did not totally eliminate it. It is a nice lightweight gel that does have a matte finish, and is perfectly fine under makeup. The reason I have given it 3 stars is I think that for the average sweater it would work absolutely fine but if you do suffer from excessive sweating it does not totally block it. Although something is better than nothing right!

Kind of works...?
Tips: Wait 5 minutes after applying before you apply makeup so it is totally absorbed. Ive also been told to apply products like this at night and then again in the morning.

Helps a lot!
I've purchased this a few times over the years. In Summer I am a sweaty mess and someone recommended it to me. My main problem area is my top lip, it's so annoying and makes me feel very uncomfortable.
I find the cheapest place to by from is the Chemist Warehouse. It comes a 50g squeezy tube, really easy to squeeze out a small amount. It is a thick, clear gel.
I only apply to my problem areas, a little bit definitely goes a long way. If you apply too much it stays sticky and feels really horrible.
For me I found this works quite well. It gives me a weird feeling though, it feels like I'm sweating but there is nothing there. On really hot days there is definitely some sweat coming through. I recommend to give it a go if you have sweaty face issues that are bothering you.

I'm not too much of a sweaty person on the face, only mainly around the lip area.
I applied the face saver gel during the summer time to give it a try, it did give my face a glow, but I didn't sweat at all. my husband tried it on too and he sweats more than me around his T zone, and he also didn't sweat but it gave our faces a little bit of a glow, looks like we came out of a facial.
I would apply Face Saver Gel as a primer more than on its own just so you don't risk having a little bit of shine.
I applied the gel after I cleansed my face and I let the gel sit and dry on my face before going out. but next time I will be applying it under my make up for sure. it does also smell a little funny, but it does the job and the smell isn't awful.
