I got given a few small travel packs of these which are very handy but I feel I need to scrub my face raw to get my makeup off with these and they leave a soapy foam on my face. I feel like I need to rinse my face after using these and would rather not have to wash my face twice. I hate wasting product so will use them up but definitely wouldn't purchase myself. Nice refresher but not for makeup remover.

I used the ones recommended for night time with the 'calming scent' or something along those lines... HATED the smell and the way they made my face feel! Yes, they removed my make up and stubborn mascara, but my face was left feeling greasy, almost slimey. And I personally can't stand how they smell. Wouldn't purchase again, but I would recommend these to those with very dry skin as the oily feeling I got probably just feels hydrating to others.
Whenever I'm in the market for new makeup removing wipes I turn to BR to try and find something that I haven't tried before. I am still on the hunt for the perfect makeup removing wipe so I thought this time I would try these. I got them in the 'Night Calming' style because I quite liked the Johnsons ones in that scent/flavour.
The packaging of these is your standard wipe style but in a nice lilac colour. I find the lid manages to stick down quite well even after you use them for a while. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
So the scent of these I didn't actually end up loving. I expected it to be somehwhat lavender-y and calming. But I find it sweet and sickly and to be honest just a wee bit gross. The wipes are nice and soft though, and they are damp enough to manage to get your makeup off your face. I didn't find them particularly good at removing my mascara as I found I still had wee smudges under my eyes the morning after using these. It claims to remove waterproof mascara but I don't believe that one bit. My skin didn't mind these though and I didn't have any problems with breaking out or skin irritation while using them.
I won't be repurchasing these as they aren't very good at removing waterproof mascara.
I don't really love makeup removing wipes as they never get EVERYTHING off and while these are no exception to that rule, they're one of the better ones I've tried.
The packaging is nice and easy to handle, just like any other wipes to be honest.
The wipes themselves have just enough product on them to be neither too much nor too little - Just right I would say.
I find they take most everything off my face, except waterproof mascara, actually they even struggle with non waterproof mascara, however I've found this across the board when it comes to wipes. The reason I prefer these to all the others is they get my double wear off without having to scrub and rub at my face - a bonus for me :)
While I'm sure they are full of chemicals, there's nothing in there that stings or makes my eyes water.
Price wise, I find them a bit on the high side, but they often come up on special so that's great.
I will use these again as they're handy to have around when you can't be bothered taking your makeup off properly and they're the best of an average bunch.
Neutrogena is a brand I always fall back on when it comes to cleansing. These towelletes weren't my type of cleansing wipes I do prefer the handy pull out wipes over the towelletes. I felt the towellete were quite harsh on my skin and did tend to dry it out alot. I think the price is abit ridiculous also
These makeup wipes made my skin sting after using them, my skin doesn't easily get irritated but whenever I took off my makeup I would have to cleanse my face as well to stop the stinging uncomfortable feeling, however that would not be good if you were just using it for a freshen up because thats very unpractical so thats why I wouldn't buy these again.
I have been searching for a while for an effective cleanser so decided to try the Neutrogena wipes in between purchases. They are expensive for what you get so I wouldn't recommend using them on a regular basis in place of a cleanser but would use them if I was going away or on holiday. On opening the pack the wipes were not too dry which has happened to me previously and they had a lovely clean smell which was pleasant (very light). The wipes were effective but even though I wear make up lightly I still found myself using two to remove the make up properly, so went though them in a super quick time. Yes they were good, and they were effective but expensive and I probably would only use them if we were going away and I did not want to carry too much with me.
Tips: Make sure they are properly sealed or they dry up quickly.
I'm not usually a fan of makeup wipes and this was no exception. For some reason, every time I use makeup wipes they break out my skin, which these did as well. They did a good job of removing my makeup and the scent was rather pleasant but I won't continue to use them as my skin turns into a mess when I use them.
I've given up on using facial wipes, because I find them not to be as effective as proper cleansing. But, if I had to go camping for a week and didn't have running water, I would probably purchase a pack. And these were the wipes I most preferred, back in those wipe-using days.
My favourite feature is the packaging; the seal is really good, and keeps the moisture in. But, if you're not using them every day, I did find the last few in the pack dried out a bit.
In terms of performance, they did the trick at removing foundation and eyeshadow; waterproof products like mascara and eyeliner were a little harder to budge, and you'd get a small amount of lash fall, but nothing too dramatic.
These are great for those nights when you get home really really late, and can think of nothing more than climbing into bed, and you don't want to wake the whole household by pottering around in the bathroom. Ideal if you've had a few wines too, haha.
I had run out (yeah I know bad management on my part) of my normal make up removing wipes that I normally purchase off of iherb so I had to resort to purchasing some to tide me over from the supermarket during my weekly shop. Having a look over the different brands available and trying the majority of them I settled that the Neutrogena ones must be good to be the most expensive of the lot surely? so into the trolley they went, it doesn't count when it's part of the groceries right?
So after a day of wearing full foundation makeup with waterproof eye makeup I tore into the packet to remove it all before my normal facial cleansing. Opening it up I must say that the quality of the packaging and reseal tab is good, its the saving grace of the product to be honest, its robust and keeps the pack fresh effortlessly. Its also understated chic and simple in its blue tone.
25 wipes in total are held within the blue packet, each one of them felt under saturated in product, which meant that a little more rubbing was required to get the waterproof mascara and eyeliner off. Firstly it took off my foundation and powder easily, even my Velvetine went off without a fight.
Then came the eyes, it dragged slightly causing my mascara and eyeliner to smudge around my whole eye area into a panda mask. 4 wipes later and nearly all traces of the makeup was gone, but add on the 2 wipes used for my face and lips (I don't have a very big face surface to remove from either!) that was a total of 6 wipes to get back to nude skin. Doing the maths that is 4 days worth of removal for a hefty price tag of $15 so that would need 2 packs for a full week! thankfully my normal packs arrived 2 days later so I had no need to grab another make do pack.
On the plus side it didn't aggravate my skin or cause any breakouts but then I do use a facial cleanser/wash afterwards so no traces of the wipes reside would have been left on my skin to cause any reactions.
I honestly didn't know what miracle I was expecting these wipes to perform being 3 times the price of some others on the market but I was left disappointed.
