Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub Review

I haven't tried Neutrogena before. This was my first product experience from their range. I was given a mini sample. After using this sample I went on to purchase this at my local super Market.

This scrub comes in a 125 ml. You get a lot of product in one tube. The tube sits on itself. It is made out of plastic. This product comes out of the tube like paste.

The texture of this product is like a lotion with tiny little beads. I'm not sure if they are micro beads or not. I see orange and white beads in this.

I normally wet my face and then apply this to my skin. I love the feeling of a face scrub, it feels like my skin is getting a deep clean. After using this scrub my skin feels softer. I think $14 is reasonable for the amount of product you get in one tube. One tube of this lasted me almost two months. I did enjoy trying this product and I would love to try more.

I was introduced to this scrub that same way as most of you, which was through the first beauty box that BR made. Honestly, when it comes to cleansers and scrubs I don’t get excited that easily simply because my skin is sensitive, and those two items seems to really aggravate my skin, so I wasn’t expecting much from this product.

The packaging of this is simple. It comes in a squeeze tube with a small hole in the nozzle which means only a little bit of product is released which is perfect because I hate wasting product. This is the exfoliator I keep in the shower , versus the vanity, and i find the shape is really easy to hold with wet hands.

I actually really like the formula of this exfoliator. It’s a white creamy texture, and speckled with orange and white exfoliator particles, and it has a beautiful citrusy scent. However, one huge negative for me is the exfoliating particles, which I’m 99% sure are micro beads which suck for the environment, and i prefer not to use product with artificial exfoliants.

This product does a nice job at exfoliating my skin, its gentle enough not to hurt my sensitive skin, and doesn’t break me out either which is good. It leaves my skin feel pretty smooth and soft, but it is not as effective as other exfoliators I have used.

Overall, this is a good exfoliator, but this is not my favourite exfoliator, and the micro beads is a huge negative for me so I won’t be buying this product again.

After discovering this scrub by chance early last year from borrowing a friend's, I have not changed my scrub since. It's gentle on my skin and doesn't feel like it's ripping off a layer. I actually love the microbeads and my face always feels super smooth after every use. Highly recommend this product especially because the scent for me is such a winner! It's sort of fruity and citrus-y, and very fresh-smelling. Hard to explain, but the smell is so lovely. I would honestly keep buying this on the scent alone. Thank goodness it ticks everything I want in a scrub: gentle on my skin, prevents breakouts, deeply cleanses, leaves skin feeling soft and smooth!

I have normal to combination skin, my skin is relatively great other than a week before getting my monthly. I have small blackheads on the tip of my nose and I knew this would be a chance to get rid of them.

After you wet your face, you apply a coin size amount to your finger tips and work it in to the problem areas. It has a very light scent and it has small beads that help exfoliate your skin. Once your done you rinse the scrub off, pat your face dry and moisturize. I found if I used this every day it made my skin dry around my cheeks, chin and forehead. So I use it every 3-4 days, it leaves my skin clear and smooth while removing the gunk from my nose.

I enjoy applying makeup after using this scrub as it makes my skin so flat.

I will be repurchasing again and would like to try the rest of their Deep clean range.

I buy this from my local supermarket, it seems to be on special fairly often but i find it affordable at approx $20 or less. you do not need to use a lot at one time so it doesnt run out fast. after use my skin feels soft and smooth. and my sensitive skin has no issues with it.

This is by far my favourite cleanser. It makes my face feel really smooth, along with ensuring it stays clean. It is really gentle when applying and rinses off very easily. I definitely recommend buying this scrub.

I was given a small tube of this when another lovely member decided to surprise me a with a few beauty goodies. I was happy to get this because I love skincare acids this has Beta Hydroxy Acids and I also have problems with black heads on my nose. I since the tube was travel sized I decided to take it with me on a family vacation. First the things I liked is that it was gentler than most Neutrogena foaming cleansers I've used and the beads are small and not harsh. My skin felt clean after using it and it helped to do a thorough cleanse after I took off my makeup. I eagerly scrubbed at my t-zone for the first two days then after that my skin felt really tight, dry and a bit sensitized. I stopped using this and my skin sensitivity went away. I don't think this is gentle enough for daily use. Another thing that doesn't appeal to me is the artificial micro beads. I personally prefer natural beads like jojoba beads. I have cut way back on the use of this scrub and now just use it once a week or every other week. Once the tiny tube is used up I don't think I'll purchase the full sized tube.

With any exfoliant I'd ideally like it to suit my sensitive skin and use it Atleast once a day to remove the dry flaky skin I get on my cheeks for head and around my nose.

This exfoliant I however couldn't. This product is not for me.

I used this for a week before giving up. The first wash it was ok the beads were little and gentle not harsh at all but my face stung a little with use. After a few more washes my skin dried out and the sting worsened.

After a full week of using this scrub every morning, my chin broke out with major pimples! Big sore red pimples.

The formula is a white cream with little microbeads that yes do help rove the dirt and cleanse the face, remove dead skin and clean pores.

If you do have sensitive skin I suggest trailing this product on a little area before a full face scrub. I expected it to work for me and it hasn't. I stopped using it and my skin has started to clear up again.

The Neutrogena gentle scrub does give a gentle but deep clean but I do find this product quite hard to wash off. It is a thick gritty cream that rubs into the skin well but can become difficult to remove but it does have a pleasant smell and works hard to scrub the skin.
