Hydrating and affordable

I have puffy bags under my eyes and dark circles with a bit of dryness. I feel like it is very refreshing and does seem to maintain hydration. However, compared to the clinique all about eyes roll on, I prefer the clinique one much more as the rollerball actually rolls. I feel with this one, it didn't really roll and if you squeezed the tube, too much product would come out. Overall, more of a drugstore eye product.

Does the job!

I'll start by saying that I do not suffer from dry patches around my eyes nor puffiness so I'm an easy customer when it comes to eye cream! I chose this product because I've recently been incorporating acids into my skincare regime on account of their hydrating effects.

I find the hydro-boost eye roll-on very light in formulation, which I like from my skincare products as I have oily skin. It is also very cooling upon application due to the metal roller ball which I find totally wakes up my eyes in the morning! As it claims, I find this product very hydrating, I never feel as if my eyes are dry throughout the day or at night.

I would recommend this product to anyone with normal to oily skin who is not looking for anti aging effects.

Tips: Very lightly tap the product into the eye area after applying to ensure an even spread and help absorption

Easy to use but not sure what it did

I bought this product on clearance from countdown quite a while ago. I'm not sure why it was on clearance but it was half price so I snapped it up! This product comes packaged in a tube similar to a lip gloss tube. I like packaging like this as long as it's easy to squeeze which this is. I've used creams like this in the past and they are so hard to get the right amount of product out of. I like that it is more hygenic as you don't need to be dipping your finger in all the time, in saying that, it's not as if I share so probably doesn't matter for personal use.

To use this is really simple, you just squeeze the tube a little and then roll it under your eyes. I really like the cooling effect of the metal roller ball and it does help the product to be easily distributed. I don't really have puffing issues but I feel like this might have helped ease those a bit, probably more temporarily though.

The product has a pleasant scent, it's very light and just has a general lotion scent. The texture is like a thin gel but it's a creamy sort of gel. It absorbs down pretty quickly which I do like and doesn't feel heavy at all. I'm not sure if it's as amazing at being hydrating as it states but I never feltlike my undereyes were dry after using it.

I have used up my whole tube now and while I didn't hate it, I'm not sure if it was really doing anything. I'd possibly buy it again if it was half price but I think now that I'm in my 30's, I need something more anti aging. I think this would be perfect for someone in their late teens, early 20's who is starting out with eye care.

Sensitive skin

I have very sensitive skin around the eyes and this product made my eyes sting and water. I did like the ball as it felt nice and cool on the under eye area.

Tips: I would not recommend if you have sensitive under eye area.

It's ok.

This product comes with a roller ball and claims to increase moisture content by up to 400%. Hmm. The texture is very fluid and light which is good. It doesn't irritate my skin. Also good. However I can't say that I have noticed any difference in eye area since using this product. I only use in the morning as I use something a little heavier at night. I find the best way to use is to squeeze a little first until you see liquid appear around the ball and then apply. Otherwise it feels like I'm dragging an unmoving ball around my eye area. And everyone knows that this area is quite delicate. If you don't lubricate ball first then you get the drag. However, once lubricated then it is a nice little massage and cooling sensation. I feel that this is probably designed as a first eye cream for younger skin than mine. Won't repurchase and would only recommend as a first time eye cream.

Doesn't Seem To Do Anything

I have been using this for about a month now, and to be perfectly honest, I have not noticed any change in my under eye area. In fact sometimes it seems to look worse, especially after applying my concealer. The eye wrinkles that I have under my eyes seem to look more prominent after using this.

I even decided to only use this at night time to see if it made any difference, but unfortunately I seemed to wake up and look worse than I did when I went to bed. Could be from lack of sleep however, but perhaps using this product was part of the cause.

I will be using it until it's all gone, but will not repurchase!

Nicely surprised

I picked this product up from Farmers, I was after a eye cream and wasn't sure what to get. I've had a few disappointing products and my eyes can be quite sensitive. I had picked up a product thinking my choice was made when this caught my eye. It was half the price of the one I had in my hand so I thought what could I lose? I didn't know anything about the other product but remembered reading the reviews here about this one.

My original thoughts were mixed. I thought it was cooling and didn't irritate but I'm over 30 so wondered if it's thin gel texture would be enough. I was pleased to find my eyes have been feeling really hydrated and I can see a reduction in my bags. I am a early riser so I love using this in the morning as its great on tired eyes.

I love the roller ball. I do tend to squeeze the tube as I'm quite greedy on the amount I apply. So far I've been using it for 3 weeks and I think I still have quite a bit if product but it is hard to tell.

Overall I'm pleased with my purchase and I will consider repurchasing.

Refreshing Boost

This is my favourite product from the Neutrogena Hydro Boost range. It is described as an 'eye roll-on' which is essentially an eye cream/gel with a roll-on applicator that can be used morning and night. Previously I had been using the Clarins Eye Gel which makes similar claims of targeting puffiness and dark circles, but comes with a $60 price tag. I found the two products very similar in terms of the results, however the Neutrogena Eye Roll-On is more refreshing, quicker to use and comes with a pretty little price tag of $24.99.

Immediately after using the Neutrogena Eye Roll-On I felt refreshed and hydrated. I regularly suffer from hayfever so my eye area is often irritated. This, combined with staring at computer screens and long days at work leaves my eyes feeling heavy and tired, even when my body is wide awake. The Neutrogena Eye-Roll on provides an instant boost of cool, refreshing hydration that is quick to apply and hydrates for hours afterward. Because of the quick, mess free application I have even snuck a few added applications in the late afternoon. This added moisture has left my eye area less puffy in the mornings, through a combined application of before bed and after my morning shower. The product doesn't leave a heavy residue so I can apply my makeup immediately afterwards.

Other than being refreshing, lovely to use and slightly reducing puffiness, this product doesn't do a whole lot else. I didn't see a significant difference in dark circles and this product makes no anti-aging claims (however hydration is obviously number one for preventing fine lines and wrinkles). But for myself, this is all I need. I'm 20 years old so I am not looking for a heavy anti-aging eye cream, and dark circles are not an issue for me. I will continue to use this product day and night, particularly over summer. For those who are using a more expensive, heavy duty eye cream at night, this would be a great addition to your morning routine.

Tips: For those who are on computers or suffer from hay fever or tired eyes, carry this in your handbag for a quick pick me up.

Roll on for your under eyes, easy as 1, 2, 3

This product was one that i was highly excited about using, I have never used an eye roll before and I couldn't wait to see how this worked.

It comes in a blue tube, its small and compact, I found this easy to carry in my handbag or makeup bag, very light weight.

When using this product i have to squeeze the tube so some of the formula comes out, rolling it under my eyes feels so soothing! The gel is a light creamy formula, I use my ring finger to gently help the formula absorb into my under eyes.

Even after the first application i noticed how hydrated my under eyes were and how i looked much better. I like to use this before applying my concealer, it makes a huge difference to when I used to apply my eye makeup.

If I am using this alone after a few hours the fine lines do go back to normal where i need to reapply,

Overall it is a great product and one that i will continue using, if i dont have time to put makeup on this is one of the must do things i apply before leaving my house.

Tips: I roll this under my eyes before applying my concealer, its a great base and it helps fill in all the fine lines before applying my makeup.

Never saw anything after application

Unfortunately out of the 4 products sent to review this is the only one that didn’t perform to its claim. I’m not sure if it is entirely the product to blame though as I generally do suffer with puffy eyes but since I started using rosehip oil a few months ago this has all but cleared up, I also have been getting a few early nights so I didn’t have huge puffy, dark bags for this product to rid me of, I actually feel I did it injustice. That being said it hasn’t made them worse and as I stated in another review I removed the oils and serums out of my daily skin care routine so that I could give these products an honest and fair review. I have also noticed that where I normally get dry, flaky almost crusty looking (Mmmm sounds attractive right) patches around my fine lines, you know where them horrid crow’s feet are going to be, has been better with no flaky or crusty dry patches so I assume that it is this roll on that has helped keep this area hydrated.

Design wise, the roll on comes in a tube with a metal type ball at the entrance that acts as the roller to roll on the lotion contained inside the tube. It is a simple design with the same aqua blue colouring as the result of the products of this range. Very easy to use, with a screw on lid which helps prevent spilling or drying out of product.

Formula, the liquid inside the comes out onto the roller ball as a thin film of liquid without any visible colouring or fragrance, for the purpose of the reviewing aspect I squeezed the tube hard to get out past the roller onto my finger to verify that it is a colourless slightly oily textured liquid.

Application, squeezing on the tube to get the liquid moving across the roller ball, you then just swipe it around your closed eye. It has a cooling effect that instantly refreshed my eyes and left a clear trail on my skin which looks like I had just worked a line of water around my eye, it then settled into the skin after a few seconds.
