This moisturiser is my go-to hydrating moisturiser and is necessary for my dry skin. It comes in a high end, expensive looking tub and the moisturiser inside is quite thick but it absorbed rapidly into my skin. A small bit of this goes a long way and it ended up lasting me a good 5 months! Before using this water gel, I used Drink of H20 which can not compare to this. There is nearly a $40 difference in price and the Neutrogena one leaves my skin much more silky and smooth than the Drink of H20 moisturiser. After putting this on my skin feels plump, luxurious and hydrated. This product is definitely worth investing in and I couldn't go a day without it !

Tips: Apply this gel 15 minutes before applying makeup as a great base and makes removing makeup so much easier !
I love using gel moisturisers instead of oil based. This moisturiser is so refreshing on the skin! It is super moisturising on my very dry skin and I love how it obsorbs and drys down on the skin very quickly and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy. I never have any trouble with flakey skin when I use this!
Tips: A little goes a long way!
I love the texture of this gel cream but I’m not convinced. Thought it would be the solution for my combo oily skin in summer but while it doesn’t make it feel greasy or oily it also doesn’t feel like it’s doing much moisturising especially on the dryer areas like cheeks. Not that impressed with this range.
Tips: Wait til it’s onsale at supermarket if you want to try it
Bought this in New World at half price, go go go! It makes my skin feel smooth and hydrated and works well for dry skin. I also have sensitive areas on my face and this cream is the only cream that doesn't irritate. The only thing I don't like is its a blue colour to match the packaging in the hydro range, which I feel is a bit unnecessary.
Tips: Great for dry/sensitive skin
Amazing. My go to for spring & summer. I add it to my regeme after serum but before moisterisor. I also keep handy adding through out the day when hot and especially after washing face post exercising.
Comes in twist top pot and is a gel formula. Not slippery. A little goes long way. Pleasant fragrance and absorbs quickly. Very easy to apply.
It seems to be a product that would suit all ages.
IMO it adds so much to a regrime but I wouldn't replace a moisterisor but adding it.
I'd highly recommend, it's one of those pearler supermarket buys.
Tips: I keep in fridge, summer time it's beyond refreshing on face when cool.
My skin varies as to how sensitive it is seasonally. In summer it's a lot less sensitive so I can only use this then. If i use this in winter instead of the gel-cream formula my skin goes red and textured, I believe due to dyes and perfume. If I use this in summer, it's just fine and works quite well. Light and hydrating, a little goes a long way, absorbs quickly.
Tips: Use the gel-cream if you have skin easily irritated by perfumes and dyes. Wait 10 minutes before layering anything ontop so it doesn't pill up.
I picked this up on a whim from Countdown as it was on special and I was very interested in the whole 'hyrdo' hype surrounding this product. I'm glad I didn't pay full price, because I absolutely hate it!
The texture was the stuff of a dream, it was smooth and gel like, which is what I was excited for. It was thick like a cream but, well, a gel. The smell put me off immediately, it was so soapy and horrible, it smelled like cheap nasty $2 shop beauty rather than something worth $30. First disappointment.
Second disappointment would be the fact that as soon as it hit my face, I was greeted with a tingling sensation. It faded, but the horrid smell never did and it was quite overpowering. Then, the final cherry on the cake, my face felt drier for using it. My skin is pretty dry, so I was excited for this and the promise of hydration, but it's just terrible. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!
It's my 5th time using Hydro Boost Water Gel. Recommend it to dry skin people as well as Oily skin people. It has that watery feelings to it when you scoop it for the first time. I even took these to my holiday out side New Zealand.
I really love Neutrogena as a brand. Nothing I have ever used from them has affected my sensitive skin. This is a nice gel/cream formula and a little bit goes a long way. Feels alot like a serum/moisturiser. Love it! I’m on my second tub
I have very dry skin, which sometimes gets a bit oily, so I need a moisturiser that is very hydrating, but not too heavy and this is absolutely perfect!
First off it smells great, so fresh and simple, and the texture is so nice and cold and refreshing to apply, it's like I've just given my skin a massive drink of water. I love the way it makes my skin feel afterwards - so soft and smooth.
I got mine for around $25 from countdown, and It's lasted me quite a long time. Its affordable, long lasting, easy to find, and just generally a very nice moisturiser
