Neutrogena Naturals Fresh Cleaning + Makeup Remover

I purchased a bottle about a few months ago, and I have relied on it as my sole makeup remover. I have sensitive, oily and acne prone skin.

I found that this makeup remover is not as effective in cleansing deep into the pores, and after using this product to remove my sunscreen and BB cream, I find that I am more prone to getting clogged pores.

This makeup remover also does not work at all for my Benefit waterproof mascara, and to my horror it did not manage to budge my MAC Liquidlast eyeliner at all.

I guess the benefit of this product is that it is meant to be gentle for light makeup, and it may be a little less harsh on the skin. Perhaps it would be more suitable for those with sensitive and dryer skin. However, do bear in mind that the fragrance is pretty strong, and may not work well for those with really sensitive skin. It smells really really good and refreshing though.

I have just tried out the Neutrogena Naturals Fresh Cleaning + Makeup Remover, and I am completely in love! This is such a gorgeous product and turns removing makeup at the end of the day into a pampering experience.

Firstly, I have always loved Neutrogena's range of products for more sensitive skin (I use their moisturiser and gentle cleanser too). So I was excited to try this makeup remover as well. The packaging is great, so handy that it comes in a pump bottle. I also love that it is environmentally friendly and has a more organic feel than the brand's other products.

The product itself has a surprising consistency, very similar to that of liquid soap. But it is gorgeously gentle and moisturising on your skin, easily removes all traces of makeup without any irritation at all, and leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean without any tightness or dryness. One pump is enough to remove a full face of foundation with no trouble at all.

I also love the scent so much, reminds me of green apples or something fresh and fruity like that.

I love this cleansing wash. I love that it's nearly all natural, in this day and age when we apply so many chemicals to our face it's nice to know there are some products we can use at the end of the day that are like this. It smells lovely, it cleanses incredibly well and you only need a small amount so it lasts really well too.

Great 2 in 1 product, I appreciate the attempt Neutrogena are making to get away from the heavy chemical products they are used to making. Does what is says it will, does not dry the skin out. Removes all traces of Make-Up.

This product is almost perfect. It comes in a neat pump container - perfect for the shower. It smells lovely, very natural smelling and you know it's got to be good for your skin. It lathers nicely, a little goes a long way. It's lovely and creamy, and makes my skin feel so fresh and clean and soft after and it does a good job of removing my make up as it says it should. The only downside is that it says its supposed to be gentle for eye areas as it's all natural ingredients, but it's not gentle at all. It stings really bad if you happen to open your eyes before washing off all the residue. The point is being able to get off my mascara and eyeliner, so there is no way to avoid my eye area as this is the area that needs most remover product!! This is a big downside for me, as it feels almost quite blinding and painful and I come out of the shower with red itchy eyes. I've used other removers with no scent and no soreness when it gets in your eyes, so comparing it to these, I would not use it again for this one reason.

I bought this product via the last beauty vault as I always wanted to try it but couldn't justify the cost to myself when there were cheaper alternatives in the supermarket. However, now that I have tried it I think it is well worth the price. It works really well on my skin, cleanses without irritation and leaves my skin feeeling really soft without the greasy leftover feeling that some cleansers have. The scent is mild but nice and the pump bottle handy to use.

This is my favourite facial cleanser that I've tried. It works to remove most, but not all of my makeup, unfortunately I still leaves a small amount mascara on and under my eyes. It leaves my skin feeling clean without leaving it dry.

I was really disappointed with this I won’t lie. I purchased it for the sole reason of the sales lady telling me that it was a really good makeup remover, as that was what I was looking for.

First thing first, the pump worked fine the first couple of times, but the third time I went to use it, no matter what I did, the pump would not work! No one had touched it, it hadn’t dropped, nothing, and the pump decides it hates me and it’s not going to work. So I have resorted to having to open the bottle every time and slide some on my hand from the little tube!

It’s a thick white cleanser, that has a mild, fresh scent to it. It is relatively hard to spread or to work with and you do need quite a bit of water to get it to lather up. I did notice that it is unlike most makeup removers I’ve used, in that it requires you to have a wet face and wet hands. I don’t like this process, as it spreads my makeup into my eyes when wetting the face before putting on the cleanser.

I do like that it is all natural and designed for sensitive skin. I don’t care for the packaging what so ever. They should really make it more appealing!

While it does a good job of removing face makeup like foundation etc. etc. it needs more scrubbing for the eye makeup. I end up have to do a bit of scrubbing and even then, I have to wash my eyes twice so that I’m not left with panda eyes. Thanks to BR I’ve learnt that scrubbing the eye are is not good and creates more lines and wrinkles, so I’ve stopped using this on my eyes, and went out and purchased another one for my eye area. Also be warned that this stuff is violent if it gets inside the eyes. I sometimes get it in my eyes through the corners or in between my lashes and the burn is unlike what I’ve felt before. I also find that it takes quite a bit of effort to wash it out, so not impressed! I also find that after all the product is removed, my vision is a bit blurry for a few seconds.

I have very oily skin, and after I’ve used this, my skin is so so so so so incredibly dry! I’m talking flaky flaky dry, and I have to make sure I put on oil or moisturiser, whereas I would normally skip this step all together.

As I said, really disappointed with this stuff!

I tried this product for a few days, about a year ago. I broke out in a reaction all over my face for about a week afterwards. I haven't used it again. I passed it on to a sister, who also had problems (though we both have sensitive skin). She passed it on to another sister who had quite oily skin and she found it fine. If you have sensitive skin at all, I'd recommend steering clear of this one. The packaging and marketing lead me to think it should be gentle and suitable for my skin but unfortunately it didn't work with my skin.

This product was a great make-up remover, but it didn't leave my face feeling fresh after using it, in fact it always felt a bit tight. I really liked the smell, and it lathered up quite nicely on my face. Overall, not a bad product, and a great general make-up remover, but I'll be keeping my eye out for a different one next time as well.
